Before operating this oven,
please read these instru tions arefully

Congratulations on your pur hase of this D longhi Gas Ov n whi h has been
arefully designed and produ ed to give you many years of satisfa tory use.
Before using this applian e it is essential that the following instru tions are arefully
read and fully understood.
We would emphasise that the installation se tion must be fully omplied with for your
safety to ensure that you obtain the maximum benefits from your applian e.
Important:
This applian e is designed and manufa tured solely for the ooking of domesti
(household) food and is not suitable for any non domesti appli ation and there-
fore should not be used in a ommer ial environment.
The applian e guarantee will be void if the applian e is used within a non domes-
ti environment i.e. a semi ommer ial, ommer ial or ommunal environment.

IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS AND ADVICE FOR THE USE OF
ELECTRICAL APPLIANCES
The use of any ele tri al applian e requires the omplian e with some basi rules,
namely:
– do not tou h the applian e with wet or damp hands (or feet)
– do not use the applian e whilst in bare feet
– do not allow the applian e to be operated by hildren or unqualified persons
without supervision.
The manufa turer annot be deemed responsible for damages aused by wrong or
in orre t use.
BEFORE USING FOR THE FIRST TIME
•Read the instru tions arefully before installing and using the applian e.
•After unpa king the applian e, he k that it is not damaged. In ase of doubt, do
not use the applian e and onta t your supplier or a qualified engineer.
•Remove all the pa king materials (i.e. plasti bags, polystyrene foam, et .) and do
not leave it around within easy rea h of hildren, as these may ause serious injuries.
The pa kaging materials are re y lable.
•Do not attempt to modify the te hni al hara teristi s of the applian e, as it may
be ome dangerous to use.
•The applian e should be installed and all the gas/ele tri al onne tions made by a
qualified engineer in omplian e with lo al regulations in for e and following the
manufa turer's instru tions.

USING THE OVEN FOR THE FIRST TIME
You are advised to arry out the following operations:
•Assemble the interior of the oven as des ribed under the heading “Cleaning and
maintenan e”
•Swit h the empty oven ON at maximum temperature for about two hours to elim-
inate tra es of grease and smell from the omponents.
•Let the oven ool down, swit h off the ele tri al supply, then lean the inside of
the oven with a loth soaked in water and neutral detergent and dry thoroughly.

IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS AND RECOMMENDATIONS
•Do not arry out any leaning or maintenan e without first dis onne ting the appli-
an e from the ele tri al supply.
•During and after use of the oven, ertain parts will be ome very hot. Do not tou h
hot parts.
•After use always ensure that the knobs are in the OFF position.
•Keep hildren away from the oven during use.
•Do not allow young hildren or infirm persons to use the applian e without your
supervision.
•WARNING
When orre tly installed, your produ t meets all safety requirements laid down for
this type of produ t ategory. However spe ial are should be taken around the
rear or the underneath of the applian e as these areas are not designed or intend-
ed to be tou hed and may ontain sharp or rough edges, that may ause injury.
•Fir Risk! Do not store inflammable materials inside the oven.
•Always use oven gloves when removing the shelves and food trays from the oven
whilst hot.
•Do not line the oven walls with aluminium foil. Do not pla e baking trays or the
drip tray on the base of the oven hamber.
•Clean the ovens regularly and do not allow fat or oils to build up in the oven base
or trays. Remove spillages as soon as they o ur.
•Always stand ba k from the oven when opening the oven door to allow steam
and hot air to es ape before removing the food.
•Do not hang towels, dish loths or other items on the ooker or its handle – as
this ould be a fire hazard.
•Make sure that ele tri al ords onne ting other applian es in the proximity annot
be ome entrapped in the oven door.
•Before disposing of an unwanted applian e, it is re ommended that it is made inop-
erative and that all potentially hazardous parts are made harmless.
•Important: This applian e has been designed for domesti use only. The applian e
is NOT suitable for use within a semi- ommer ial, ommer ial or ommunal envi-
ronment.
•Saf food handling: leave food in the oven for as short a time as possible before
and after ooking. This is to avoid ontamination by organisms whi h may ause
food poisoning. Take parti ular are during warmer weather.
SAFETY GUARD

For hild safety, a door guard an be fitted to prevent onta t with the hot glass.
The door guard (kit for installing the 3rd glass on the oven door) is supplied as an
a essory on request. Conta t one of our dealers or Servi e Centre and indi ate the
relevant applian e model.

During use the appliance becomes hot. Care should be taken to avoid touch-
ing heating elements inside the oven.
Attention: the oven door becomes very hot during operation.
Keep children away.

GENERAL FEATURES
The oven is furnished ompletely lean. It is advisable, however, upon first use, to
turn the oven on to the maximum temperature to eliminate possible tra es of grease
from the burner.
The same operation may be done with the grill burner.
The oven is fitted with:
– One gas burner (3,00 kW), lo ated at the bottom, providing self-ignition and safe-
ty devi e
– One gas grill (2,30 kW), pla ed on the top, providing self-ignition and safety devi e.
IMPORTANT:

Th cooling fan switch s on automatically, and will continu to run v n if
th ov n is switch d off, until th corr ct t mp ratur is r ach d.

THERMOSTAT KNOB
The values from to printed
on the fa ia panel around the thermostat
knob (fig. 1.2) show in a growing
sequen e the oven temperature in °C.
CAUTION:
If the burner is a identally extinguished, turn the gas off at the ontrol knob and
wait at least 1 minute before attempting to relight.
CAUTION:
Gas applian es produ e heat and humidity in the environment in whi h they are
installed.
Ensure that the ooking area is well ventilated by opening the natural ventilation
grilles or by installing an extra tor hood onne ted to an outlet du t.
CAUTION:
If the applian e is used for a prolonged time it may be ne essary to provide fur-
ther ventilation by opening a window or by in reasing the su tion power of the
extra tor hood (if fitted).
TIMER
The timer an be set to a maximum of
60 minutes. Turn the dial lo kwise to
the maximum setting of 60 minutes
then turn it anti- lo kwise until it rea h-
es the desired time. When the set time
expires the timer bell will sound.
NOTE:
The oven will not swit h itself off at the
end of the timed period.

LIGHTING OF OVEN BURNER
The thermostati tap ontrolling the gas supply to the burner is equipped with a safe-
ty devi e whi h automati ally stops the gas flow in ase of flame extin tion. The tem-
perature is onstantly maintained on the set value.
The ele tri ignition starts up by pressing the thermostat knob.

To light th burn r, you n d to:
1 – Fully open the oven door.
2 – Press the thermostat knob (fig. 1.2) thoroughly to start up the ele tri ignition and,
keeping the knob under pressure turn it anti- lo kwise (fig. 1.4) to position
.
Never ontinue this operation for more than 15 se onds. If the burner has still
not ignited, wait for about 1 minute prior to repeating the ignition.
To light the oven manually, approa h a flame to the hole “A” of the floor (fig.
1.5), then press and turn the thermostat knob.
3 – Wait about ten se onds after lighting the burner to release the knob (priming time
of the thermo ouple)
4 – Adjust the thermostat knob on the desired setting.
If the flame extinguishes for any reason, the safety valve will automati ally shut off
the gas supply to the burner.
To re-light the burner, first turn the oven ontrol knob to position , wait for at least
1 minute and then repeat the lighting pro edure.
For a orre t pre-heating, we suggest to remove tray and shelf from the oven and
introdu e them again after 15 minutes.
ATTENTION: In cas of manual lighting, n v r turn th th rmostat tap b for
approaching a flam to th hol “A” of th floor.

LIGHTING OF GAS GRILL BURNER
The thermostati tap ontrolling the gas supply to the burner is equipped with a
safety devi e whi h automati ally stops the gas flow in ase of flame extin tion.
The ele tri ignition starts up by pressing the thermostat knob.

To turn on the grill burner:
1) Open the oven door.
2) Press thoroughly and turn lo kwise the oven gas thermostat knob fig. 1.6 to set
symbol .
To light the grill manually, put a flame to the right and left side of the burner for 2-3
se onds after the thermostat has been opened (fig. 1.7).
3) Wait about ten se onds after the burner lighting before releasing the knob (time of
priming of the valve).
Should the flame of the burner extinguish for any reason, the safety valve will ut off
automati ally the gas flow to the thermostat.
IMPORTANT: In cas of accid ntal xtinction of th burn r, turn off th con-
trol knob and wait at l ast on minut b for trying to ignit again.

TRADITIONAL GRILLING
V ry important: always us with th door ajar and with shi ld "A” mount-
d (Fig. 1.8).
Fit the s reen A(Fig. 1.8) whi h prote ts the ontrol panel from the heat.
Swit h the grill on, setting the knob to position .
Leave to warm up for approximately 5 minutes with the door ajar.
Pla e the food inside positioning the ra k as near as possible to the grill.
Insert the drip pan under the ra k to olle t the ooking jui es.

OVEN LIGHT
The oven provides an interior lamp to allow the visual inspe tion during the ooking.
To light the oven lamp turn the knob fig. 1.9, to the symbol .

• Do not grill with ov n door clos d. Always fit the heat shield supplied with the
oven under the front panel before ommen ing operations.
• Do read the user instru tions arefully before using the oven for first time.
• Do allow the oven to heat for one and a half hours, before using for the first time,
in order to expel any smell from the new oven insulation, without the introdu tion
of food.
• Do lean your oven regularly.
• Do remove spills as soon as they o ur.
• Do always use oven gloves when removing food shelves and trays from the oven.
• Do not allow hildren near the oven when in use.
• Do not allow fat or oils to build up in the ovens trays, or oven base.
• Do not pla e ooking utensils or plates dire tly onto the oven base.
• Do not grill food ontaining fat without using the grid.
• Do not over the grilling grid with aluminium-foil.
• Do not use the oven tray for roasting.
• Do not pla e hot enamel parts in water. Leave them to ool first.
• Do not allow vinegar, offee, milk, saltwater, lemon or tomato jui e to remain in
onta t with enamel parts (inside the oven and on the oven tray).
• Do not use abrasive leaners or powders that will s rat h the surfa e of the stain-
less steel and the enamel.
• Do not attempt to repair the internal workings of your oven.
• Do remove the prote tive film before the first use.
• Fir risk! Do not store flammable material in the oven.

GENERAL ADVICE
– When the applian e is not being used, it is advisable to keep the gas tap losed.
– Every now and then he k to make sure that the flexible tube that onne ts the
gas line or the gas ylinder to the applian e is in perfe t ondition and get it
repla ed if it shows any signs of wearing or damage.
– The periodi al lubri ation of the gas taps must be done only by spe ialised per-
sonnel.
– If a tap be omes stiff, do not for e; onta t your lo al Servi e Centre.
– Important:

IMPORTANT:

ENAMELLED PARTS
All the enamelled parts must be leaned with a sponge and soapy water or other
non-abrasive produ ts.
Dry preferably with a mi rofibre or soft loth.

if left in onta t for too long.

REPLACING THE OVEN LIGHT BULB
Switch th ov n off at th mains. When the oven is ool, uns rew and repla e
the bulb with another one resistant to high temperatures (300°C), voltage 230 V
(50 Hz), E14
and same power ( he k watt power as stamped in the bulb itself) of the
repla ed bulb.
Not : Oven bulb repla ement is not overed by your guarantee.
GAS TAPS
In the event of operating faults in the gas taps, all the After Sales Servi e Department.
FLEXIBLE TUBE
From time to time, he k the flexible tube onne ting the gas supply to the ooker.
It must be always in perfe t ondition; in ase of damage arrange for it to be repla ed
by a suitable qualified and registered installer.
STAINLESS STEEL, ALUMINIUM PARTS AND SILK-SCREEN
PRINTED SURFACES
Clean using an appropriate produ t. Always dry thoroughly.
IMPORTANT: these parts must be leaned very arefully to avoid s rat hing and abra-
sion. You are advised to use a soft loth and neutral soap.
CAUTION: Do not us abrasiv substanc s or non-n utral d t rg nts as th s

INSIDE OF OVEN
The oven should always be leaned
after use when it has ooled down.
The avity should be leaned using a
mild detergent solution and warm
water. Suitable proprietary hemi al
leaners may be used after first on-
sulting with the manufa turers re om-
mendations and testing a small sample
of the oven avity. Abrasive leaning
agents or s ouring pads/ loths should
not be used on the avity surfa e.
NOTE: The manufa turers of this appli-
an e will a ept no responsibility for
damage aused by hemi al or abra-
sive leaning.

HOW TO USE YOUR GAS
OVEN
Lo ate the wire side frames as indi ated
in Fig. 3.2.
Slide in, on the guides, the shelf and
the tray et . (Fig. 3.3).
The ra k must be fitted so that the safe-
ty at h, whi h stops it sliding out,
fa es the inside of the oven (Fig. 3.3).
Before using the oven for the first time,
we re ommend that you lean it with
soapy water, rinse arefully and heat for
30 minutes at maximum temperature.
A slightly unpleasant smell may be
produ ed, aused by grease remaining
on the oven elements from the
produ tion pro ess.

DISMANTLING THE DOOR
Please operate as follows:
– Open the door ompletely.
– Push down the lever Lfig. 3.4 and,
keeping it in this position, slowly
lose the door in order to blo k the
hinge.
– Grip the door (as indi ated in fig. 3.5)
and, while losing it, release the two
hinges as shown in fig. 3.6.
DOOR ASSEMBLY
– Grip the door with your hands pla ed
near the hinges and raise the levers

– Insert the hinges in their position until

If the oven is being installed into a fully en losed built under oven housing unit it
maybe ne essary to ut a small slot in the top of the plinth fitted under the unit.
Cut a se tion 400 mm wide and a minimum of 15 mm high to allow air to pass
underthe unit.

Failure to allow adequate ventilation to
the applian e may result in over heat-
ing ordamage to adja ent units.
Lift the oven arefully into position on
the shelf, taking are NOT to lift it by
the door handle. If you lower theoven
door, you will see 4 s rew holes, 2 on
ea h sideof the oven. The oven should
then be se ured to the housing byfit-
ting s rews into these holes. Remember
the housing should not be free stand-
ingbut se ured to the wall and/oradja-
ent fittings.
IMPORTANT: If the oven is being
installed into a built under oven hous-
ing unit ensurethat the front rail at the
top of the unit is not installed as it will
restri t ventilation.

LOCATION
The applian e may be installed in a kit hen, Kit hen/diner or a bed sitting room, but
not in a room or spa e ontaining a bath or a shower.
– The applian e must not be installed in a bed-sitting room of less than 20 m3.
– The applian e is designed and approved for domesti use only and should not be
installed in a ommer ial, semi ommer ial or ommunal environment.
– Your produ t will not be guaranteed if installed in any of the above environments
and ould affe t any third party or publi liability insuran es you may have.
PROVISION FOR VENTILATION
✓The applian e should be installed into a room or spa e with an air supply in a or-
dan e with BS 5440-2: 2000.
✓For rooms with a volume of less than 5 m3- permanent ventilation of 100 m2
free area will be required.
✓For rooms with a volume of between 5 m3and 10 m3a permanent ventilation of
50 m2free area will be required unless the room has a door whi h opens dire t-
ly to the outside air in whi h ase no permanent ventilation is required.
✓For rooms with a volume greater than 10 m3- no permanent ventilation is required.
NB. R gardl ss of room siz , all rooms containing th applianc must hav
dir ct acc ss to th outsid air via an op nabl window or quival nt.
✓Where there are other fuel burning applian es in the same room, BS 5440-2: 2000
should be onsulted to determine the orre t amount of free area ventilation require-
ments.
✓The above requirements allow also for use of a gas oven and grill but if there are
other gas burning applian es in the same room, onsult a qualified engineer.

IMPORTANT NOTE
This applian e is supplied for use on NATURAL GAS or LPG ( he k the gas regulation
label atta hed on the applian e).
✓Applian es supplied for use on NATURAL GAS: they are adjusted for this gas only
and annot be used on any other gas (LPG) without modifi ation. The applian es
are manufa tured for onversion to LPG.
✓Applian es supplied for use on LPG: they are adjusted for this gas only and an-
not be used on any other gas (NATURAL GAS) without modifi ation. The applian es
are manufa tured for onversion to NATURAL GAS.
If the NATURAL GAS/LPG onversion kit is not supplied with the applian e this kit an
be pur hased by onta ting the After-Sales Servi e.
INSTALLATION & SERVICE REGULATIONS (UNITED KINGDOM)
It is a legal requirement that all gas applian es are Installed & Servi ed by a ompetent
person in a ordan e with the urrent editions of the following Standards &
Regulations or those regulations appropriate to the geographi al region in whi h they
are to be installed:
✓Gas Safety (Installation & Use) Regulations
✓Building Regulations
✓British Standards
✓Regulations for Ele tri al Installation
Installation and servi e of any gas produ t must be made by a suitably qualified person
ompetent on the type of produ t being installed or servi ed and holding a valid
ertifi ate of ompeten e for the work being arried out. Currently the proof of
ompeten e is the A redited Certifi ation S heme (ACS) or S/NVQ that has been
aligned to the ACS.
It is also a requirement that all businesses or self employed installers are members of a
lass of person approved by the Health and Safety Exe utive.
Failure to install the applian e orre tly ould invalidate any manufa turers warranty
and lead to prose ution under the above quoted regulation.
