SAFETY WARNINGS
AN IMPORTANT MESSAGE: This manual contains vital information for the safety of the rider. For
your child’s safety, it is your responsibility to review this information with your child and make
sure that your child understands all warnings, cautions, instructions and safety topics. Delta Pro
Scooters recommends that you periodically review and reinforce the information in this manual
with younger riders, and that you inspect and maintain your child’s scooter to ensure their safety.
GENERAL WARNING: Scooter riding can be a hazardous activity. Scooters can and are intended
to move, and it is therefore possible to get into dangerous situations and/or lose control and/or
fall. If such things occur you can be seriously injured or die. LIKE ANY OTHER MOVING PROD-
UCT, USING A SCOOTER CAN BE A DANGEROUS ACTIVITY AND MAY RESULT IN INJURY OR
DEATH EVEN WHEN USED WITH PROPER SAFETY PRECAUTIONS. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK
AND USE COMMON SENSE.

SAFE RIDING PRACTICES
SAFE RIDING PRACTICES AND CONDITIONS
Direct parental supervision is required. Scooters are
meant to be used only in controlled environments
free of potential trac hazards and not on public-
streets. Do not allow your child to ride a scooter in
any areas where vehicletrac is present. Child must
maintain a hold of the handlebars at all times.
Never allow more than one rider at a time to ride a
scooter. Never use nearsteps, sloped driveways, hills,
roadways, alleys or swimming pool areas.
Do not ride a scooter in wet weather. Scooters are
intended for use on solid, at, clean and drysurfaces
such as pavement or level ground without loose
debris such as rocks or gravel. Wet, slick or uneven
and rough surfaces may impair braking traction,
and contribute to possible accidents. Do not ride a
scooter in mud, ice, puddles or water. Avoid exces-
sive speeds that can be associate with downhill
rides. Never risk damaging surfaces such as carpet
or ooring by use of a scooter indoors. Do not ride
at night or when visibility is impaired. Aggressive
riding reduces your ability to maneuver and control.
Take necessary precautions and practice in a safe
area.
You will see people on TV and videos doing
tricks or stunts. These are people who have been
practicing a long time and accept the risks of
trick riding activity. Do not assume that you can
attempt to do the same tricks without great risk.
PROPER RIDING ATTIRE
Always ensure child is wearing proper protective
equipment, such as an approved safety helmet. A
helmet may be legally required by local law or
regulation in your area. Always wear shoes and keep
shoelaces tied and out of the way of the wheels.
Never ride barefooted or in sandals.
FAILURE TO USE COMMON SENSE AND HEED THE
ABOVE WARNINGS FURTHER INCREASES RISK OF
SERIOUS INJURY. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK AND
WITH APPROPRIATE AND SERIOUS ATTENTION
TO SAFE OPERATION. USE CAUTION.
WARNING: ALWAYS INSPECT SCOOTER PRIOR
TO RIDING. Properly inspecting and maintain-
ing your scooter can reduce the risk of injury.
Always inspect your scooter before riding and
regularly maintain it.
WARNING: CHECK LOCAL LAWS REGARDING
SCOOTER USE. Check local laws and regula-
tions to see where and how you may use
your Delta Pro Scooter legally. In many states
and local areas scooter riders are required BY
LAW to wear a helmet. Check local laws and
regulations regarding laws governing helmet
use and scooter operation in your area.

PRE-RIDE CHECKLIST
CHECK FOR LOOSE BOLTS
Before you ride be sure to check that all bolts are
tightend. Loose parts may damage your scooter
and/or increase the risk of a fall.
REPLACE WORN PARTS
Inspect all moving parts includeing wheels and
headset and ensure they rotate smoothly. Replace
all worn or broken parts immediately.
SAFETY GEAR
Always wear proper protective equipment, such as an
approved safety helmet, elbow pads and kneepads.
Always wear shoes (lace-up with rubber soles) and
keep shoelaces tied and out of the way of the wheels.
Never ride barefooted or in sandals.
RIDE WITHIN YOUR LIMITS
You will see people on TV and maybe even people
you know doing tricks and stunts. These are people
who have been practicing on scooters for a very long
time.
Know YOUR limits and don’t try something until
you are sure you are ready!
Avoid steep inclines and don’t ride too fast — you can
lose control and fall. Skateboard parks are not
designed for scooters. Never ride in trac or on the
street and watch your surroundings for pedestrians,
bikers, boarders and skaters. Maintain a hold on the
handlebars at all times.
HOW TO RIDE
Place one foot on the deck, push forward
with the other foot. Steer with both hands
on the handlebars.
For enhanced cornering, lean slightly into
the direction of the turn.
For controlled stops, apply the brake by
stepping on the rear fender/brake. (SEE
DIAGRAM TO RIGHT)
Delta Pro Scooters recommends that you
practice applying the brake at various
speeds and in an open area free from
obstructions before riding your Recon
scooter around others.

GENERAL MAINTENANCE
TIGHTENING THE COMPRESSION
Your compression comes tightened to factory specications out of the box.
Should you notice that your bars begin to shake or move side to side then
this means your compression needs to be tightened. To tighten your com-
pression you will need to rst remove your handle bars.
Using the provided 5mm allen key tighten the allen bolt on top of the fork
clockwise until the bolt is slightly snug. You should be able to spin your
forks freely, do not overtighten as you can restrict movement and damge
your compression and/or headset.
CLEANING YOUR SCOOTER
Never use strong cleaning agents such as alcohol or bleach to clean your
scooter. Doing so can cause damage to the paint or bearings. Instead use
warm water and a damp cloth to clean the surfaces of your scooter. You
should AVOID putting watter directly on the grip tape and NEVER submerge
your scooter in water.
LUBRICATING YOUR WHEEL BEARINGS
You should check your wheels for smooth rotation before every ride. Your
bearings should be lubricated regularly to maintain optimum performance.
To lube your bearings you will need to take your wheels o by using x2
5mm allen keys to remove the wheel axles (loosen the axles counter
clock-wise, tighten clockwise). Using bicycle bearing oil (not included),
place 3-4 drops directly on the bearing covers and allow the oil to soak into
the bearing. If your wheels do not spin freely after this you may have to
replace the bearings. Apply Oil Here
