Planning Your Installation
Safety GlassesSteel-Capped Boots High-vis Work Wear
Throughout the development of MonkeyMESH we have investigated and tested the safest and most
efficient method ofinstallation.
Installation should start atone end of theracking assembly, commencing at the top-most position
for a MonkeyMESH Panel. The next section to be installed should be the section immediately
underneath, and so on until you reach thebottom of that rack.
The installer should then move to the sectionof theracking assembly immediately next to the section
that now has MonkeyMESH installed, and again start from the top and work down. The following
diagram illustrates our recommendation for the order in which MonkeyMESH Panels should be
installed:

the top Bracket too low,
the bottom Bracket may
not have enough space
to be installed.

Each MonkeyMESH Bracket has a “mounting flange”.This is the section of the MonkeyMESH
Bracket that will be fixed to the upright. The mounting flange must always be facing “outwards” from
where the MonkeyMESH Panel will be.
MonkeyMESH Brackets can be used “either way up”, but must always have the mounting flange
facing outwards from the MonkeyMESHPanel and must bethe “same way up”for both “top
brackets” and the same way up for both “bottom brackets”.

sure that the panel has the stiffening wires are on the “inside” of the
racking assembly.
Both the left MonkeyMESH Bracket and theright MonkeyMESH

Manually push the “bottom” MonkeyMESHBrackets downwards so that
the MonkeyMESH Panel’s horizontal wires push up intothe top part of the
MonkeyMESH Brackets’ catchment slots. The maximum force that should
be used when pushing downis 15kg.
The tension created bypushing down on the bottom MonkeyMESH
Brackets once the mesh isin place creates a positive lock and adds
greater rigidity and strength throughout the MonkeyMESH Panel.
Creating this tension is a key requirement of the MonkeyMESH system.
Unless this positive lock is created through the application of tension, the
wire backing system may not perform to specification.
While pressing down to create thetension, tighten thefixings on both
MonkeyMESHBrackets (maximum torque is 22Nm).

In support of the MonkeyMESH warranty requirements and as part of a safe working
environment, regularinspections should beperformed for MonkeyMESH. We recommend
thefollowing schedule ofinspections:
Inspections should include, but not be limited to:
Inspection
Periodically
Post Incident
MonkeyMESH Brackets
In line with your regular site maintenance schedule, or at
least annually.
Ensure MonkeyMESH Brackets are securely fastened to the
rack uprights. Tighten fastenings if necessary (maximum
torque is 22Nm).
Ensure that the top and bottom Bracket catchment slots are
correctly aligned with the MonkeyMESH Panel as per the
Assembly & Installation sectionof this manual.
Check that Brackets are straight and are not damaged or
permanently deflected.
If a safety incident occurs near or involving MonkeyMESH,
or if there is an impact or potential damageto the
MonkeyMESH, an inspection should be performed.
Ensure that no stock weight is resting on the MonkeyMESH
Panel. WhileMonkeyMESH is designed to prevent stock
from falling, it is not a load-bearing structure.
Check that the Panels are straight and are not damaged or
permanently deflected.
Check that the tension on the Panels remains firm.
