1. Introduction
Congratulations on your purchase of a Deltacom Eagle Eye pager. This user’s manual
explains how easy it is to use a Eagle Eye pager.

This pager has 2 push buttons (Mode and Select buttons) for the pager controls and operations.

5. Turning your Pager off
1) Press Mode button for 2 seconds on the standby screen and scroll the menu by Select button
until “POWER OFF?” is displayed.
2) Press Select button for 2 seconds to turn your pager off.
6. Turning your Pager on
Press Mode button for a second to turn your pager on. Your pager gives an alert sound, after
displaying the power-up screen. The time of day, day of week and an alert indicator are shown on
the standby screen.
7. Receiving and reading message
Your pager can receive up to twenty 20-character messages. When a message is received, the
pager alerts for eight seconds.
1) Press any button to stop the alert.
2) Press Select button to display the message and the time the message was received.
3) Press Mode button twice while reading your message to return to the standby screen.
Message longer than 12 characters display on a second screen, indicated by the continuous
message icon. Press Select button to display the second screen.
The first screen of your message displays the message slot number and time received. If a

message is not read, the pager gives a remainder alert every two minutes and the screen
displays the number of unread messages (i.e. 1 memos, 2 memos) until all messages are read.
If the pager receives more messages than its available memory can hold, the new message
replaces the oldest read, unlocked message. An overflow condition occurs when all message
slots are filled with unread message, while the pager is in the overflow condition, the oldest
unread message is discarded.
At this time, the pager displays “MEMO FULL”. Message must be read and erase to clear the
overflow condition.
8. Turning the Back Light on/off
1) Press Mode button to turn the back light on.
2) Press Mode button again to turn the back light off.
The back-light turn off automatically eight seconds after returning to the standby screen.
9. Changing Alert mode
1) Press Mode button for two seconds to enter the function menu.
2) Press Select button to scroll the function menu.
3) If “SOUND?” is displayed, press Select button for two seconds.
4) Press Select button to select alert menu SOUND1, SOUND2, SOUND3, SOUND4, SOUND5,
SOUND6, SOUND7, SOUND OFF.
10.Setting the Time
1) Press Mode button for two seconds to enter the function menu.

2) Press Select button to scroll the function menu until “TIME?” is displayed.
3) Press Select button for two seconds to set the day of thee week. The day blinks.
4) Press Select button to change the day.
5) Press Select button for two seconds to switch to the hour. The hour blink.
As the same procedures, you can change the minutes and AM/PM.
6) Press Mode button twice to return to the standby screen.
11. Setting the Alarm
1) Press Mode button for two seconds to enter the function menu.
2) Press Select button to scroll the function menu until “ALARM?” is displayed.
3) Press Select button for two seconds to set the alarm time. The ON/OFF blinks.
4) Press Select button to change the alarm on/off.
5) Press Select button for two seconds to switch to the alarm time.
6) Press Select button to change the alarm hour digit.
7) Press Select button for two seconds to switch to the alarm minutes.
As the same procedures, you can change the alarm minutes and AM/PM.
8) Press Mode button twice to return to the standby screen.

12. Protecting (Saving) messages
1) Press Mode button for two seconds, while reading your messages.
The “CLEAR?” is displayed.
2) Press Select button to protect your messages. The Protected message icon indicates that
your message is protected.
3) Press Mode button twice to return to the standby screen.
4) Press Mode button for two seconds to remove the protection, while reading your messages.
The “CLEAR” is displayed and the Protected message icon is removed from screen.
5) Press Mode button twice to return to the standby screen. Protected messages cannot be
erased or overwritten by new messages when memory is full. You can protect up to four
messages.
13. Erasing all messages
1) Press Mode button for two seconds at the standby screen.
2) Press Select button to scroll the function menu until “CLEAR ALL?” is displayed.
3) Press Select button for two seconds to erase all messages. The “SURE?” is displayed.
4) Press Select button for two seconds to erase all messages. The “NO MEMOS” is displayed.
5) Press Mode button twice to return to the standby screen. The protected messages cannot be
erased.
14. Erasing Selective messages
1) Press Mode button for two seconds, while reading a message. The “CLEAR?” is displayed.
2) Press Select button for two seconds to erase the message.
3) Press Mode button twice to return to the standby screen. Only unprotected messages can be
erased.
15. Features
1) Back-light : In low-light condition, the back-light makes the screen easy to read.
2) Duplicate messages : If the same message is received more than once, the duplicate

message icon is displayed when receiving your latest message. This message contains the
latest time stamp.
3) Low battery indicator : When battery power reaches low levels, the low battery icon is
displayed, prompting you to change the battery, your pager gives an alert or vibrate every two
minutes.
4) Memory retention : All messages remain in memory, even when the player is off.
5) Message erase : Messages can be erased all at once or selectively at your choice to free
space in memory.
6) Automatic alert reset : Your pager alerts automatically, stop when any button is pressed.
7) Alarm : This alarm can be set to alert you.
8) Reminder alert : The pager chirps or vibrates every two minutes until you read all unread
messages.
9) Standby screen : The standby screen displays the time of day/day or week and the
indicators.
10) Time of day : The time of day displays whether the pager is on or off.
11) Time stamp : The time of day a message is received is displayed on the first screen of each
message.
12) User selectable audible alerts : A selection of seven alert tones gives your choice of message
alert heard when you are paged in the audible alert mode.
16. FCC Requirements
This device complies with Part 15 of FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the condition that this
device does not cause harmful interference.
CAUTION: Any changes of modifications in construction of this device which are not expressly
approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the user’s authority to operate the
equipment.
