Operating the device
The MPS 1000 is a compact phantom power supply for a ma imum of 2 audio sources. The MPS 1000 is
usually used in combination with microphones. This product is intended to supply a stable +12 V or +48 V of
power to microphones and similar devices that need it in order to function properly. Given that not every PA
mi er, audio interface or recorder is equipped with (sufficient) phantom power inputs, the MPS 1000 can
provide the perfect solution.
The MPS 1000 is the ideal solution for the following situations:
- The PA mi er, interface or recorder does not have (sufficient) phantom power.
- The PA mi er, interface or recorder can only provide a group of inputs with phantom power, and there are
one or more devices that could be damaged if phantom power is activated.
- The PA mi er, interface or recorder provides phantom power, but it is not powerful enough to deliver the full
48 volts.
- The PA mi er, interface or recorder only supplies 48 volts, and you would like to supply the device with 12
volts of power.
The MPS 1000 inputs are suitable for balanced signals, and the outputs are also balanced.
In most cases, a standard 3-pin XLR cable will be used to connect a microphone to one of the MPS 1000

inputs. Then, the microphone will be supplied with phantom power by the MPS 1000, and the balanced
microphone signal will be transmitted via the corresponding XLR output so that it can be transmitted to the
mi er, interface or recorder via the same type of 3-pin XLR cable.
The phantom power can be adjusted via a button on the front of the device, located to the right of the inputs.
You can easily see the currently selected voltage via the LED status indicators. You can choose between
+12V and +48V power. It is not possible to choose different phantom power voltage values per channel.
aution: Ensure that the voltage indicator is in the correct position before connecting a device. It is possible
that incorrect voltage could damage the inputs of the connected device.
The MPS 1000 is equipped with a switch to turn the device on and off. This device should be powered by the
included power adapter, which should be connected to the device and a suitable power socket.
Ensure that the power outlet can be reached at all times, so the power adapter can be removed from the
socket immediately in case of emergency. It is also possible to use a power switch system, which shuts off
the power supply to the power adapter quickly.
The robust metal housing ensures that the MPS 1000 can be used in rougher conditions, such as on stage.
Rubber corner protectors work to minimise damage to the device as much as possible, and they also make it
possible to stack multiple MPS products and save valuable floor or table space.
