STEP-BY-STEP INSTALLATION
STEP 1: Connecting to a hose end or a faucet.
a) Connect the timer to the faucet.
b) Attach the backflow device to the timer.
c) Attach the pressure regulator to the backflow device and
move to step # 2.
STEP 1A: Connecting to a showerhead
If you are on vacation, you can water all your indoor plants by
connecting the system to a showerhead.
a) Remove the showerhead and connect the 1/2 in. FNPT side x
3/4 in. connector to the showerhead arm.
b) Connect the 3/4 in. MNPT side x MHT nipple to the connector.
c) Connect the timer to the faucet.
d) Attach the backflow device to the timer.
e) Attach the pressure regulator to the backflow device and move to
step # 2.
OPTION 1: To apply water-soluble fertilizer, or if you are unsure of the water quality, we highly recommend
us in. #12 - 1/2 in. filter/fertilizer applicator. It will remove debris that may otherwise clog the emitters and
foggers. This unit should be installed after the backflow device.
STEP 2: Microtubing placement
a) Unroll the 1/4 in. microtubing and lay it out in the area of the planters,
containers and baskets to be watered.
STEP 3: Connect in. 3/4 in. FHT to microtubing
a) Connect the 3/4 in. FHT x 1/4 in. adaptor to the microtubing by forcing the end
of the microtubing into the fitting while moving the microtubing from side to side.
b) Attach the 3/4 in. adaptor to the pressure regulator.
STEP 4: Microtubing installation
Near each container, basket or planter cut the microtubing and insert a 1/4 in. tee
(soaking microtubing in hot water will ease installation). Make sure to leave the
ends of the 1/4 in. microtubing open so you can flush the line before completion.
STEP 5: Connecting 1/4 in. fittings
a) Run microtubing from the center of the containers to the 1/4 in. tee.
b) Connect one end of the microtubing to the 1/4 in. tee.
c) 2 in. to 4 in. from the 1/4 in. tee cut the microtubing and connect a 1/4 in. ball valve
to allow a better control of flow rate for individual container needs.
STEP 6: Installing the drip emitters or foggers
a) Attach a drip emitter or fogger to the ends of the microtubing.
b) Attach a 1/4 in. tubing holder stake to the microtubing closes to the dripper.
c) Put the 1/4 in. tubing holder stake near the plant.
