
1. Preparation
Battery Insertion
Open the housing on the rear part by sliding
the cover as shown by the arrow. Connect the
battery (9 Volt) ensuring that the polarities are
correct.
Insert the battery into the housing and put the
cover back into place.
2. Use
Power on
Switch the device on by using the key on the
left side (A, in figure). On the display appears
the indication -0:00.
Programmation
Enter the countdown by pressing the key
SELECT (B, in figure).
•the digit of the minutes starts to blink. Use the
key SET (C, in figure) to increase the setting
of the minutes (if held pressed, the numbers
change quicklier).
•Press SELECT again to enter the seconds.
Press the key SET to set them.
•By pressing the key SELECT, on the display
appears “C. 00”; now it's possible to pro-
gramm the hundreths. Use the key SET to set
them.
•To conclude the setting press SELECT again.
The countdown is set.
3. Use (continues)
The device is ready to start (it's possible to
change the setting by pressing SELECT).
Start
Start the countdown by pressing the key
START/SPLIT. The last ten seconds are accom-
panied with an audible 'Beep'. When the
countdown has reached zero, the device will
start to count up (0, 1, 2, etc.). The digits are
preceded by the symbol “+”.
Acoustic Signal
During the countdown it is possible to activate
the acoustic signal by pressing the key
SELECT/RESET (every second). Press the
same key again to desactivate it.

Split
During the countdown it's possible to freeze
the time (split function).
To do this, press the key START/SPLIT: on
the display appears, instead of the usual time in
minutes and seconds, the 'frozen' time in se-
conds and hundreths (the dot between is blin-
king, i.e. that the countdown is still going on).
The symbol (– or +) indicates, that you have
split the time before or after the zero.
To go back to the countdown press
START/SPLIT again.

Reset
To stop the countdown and to go back to the
programmed time, held pressed the key
SELECT/RESET (B, in figure) for about 2 se-
conds. Now you can:
•modify the programmed time by pressing the
key SELECT/RESET.
•clear the time. Held pressed the key
SELECT/RESET for about 2 seconds.
•start the countdown by pressing the key-
START/SPLIT.
Push Button
Ghibli has got an input IN (D, in figure) for an
external push button. With the aid of this push
button you can start the device and split the
time. (NO contact - type: DIGITECH PB5/JP-A).
6. Battery life
The battery life of an alkaline battery is about
300 hours.
When the battery is low, on the display appears
a symbol near the battery BATT (E, in figure).
Now the device will work for only one more
hour.
Attention: if you don't use the device for a
long time, please take out the battery. In this
way you'll avoid possible damages caused by
them.
7. Warranty
Digitech S.r.l. warrants the Ghibli to be free
from defects in material and manufacturing for
a period of 48 months from the date of purcha-
se.
During the warranty period, defective compo-
nents will be repaired or replaced at no char-
ges. The delivery costs must be paid by the
customer.
The warranty is void if the failure of the pro-
duct has resulted from accident, misuse or
handling by any person not authorised by Digi-
tech.
Any other guarantee is either expressed or
implied.
Batteries and possible damages caused by
them are not covered by the Digitech warranty.

battery manufacturer.
