Vous venez d’acquérir un PYKO-out et nous
vous en félicitons. Afin de distribuer de l’audio
numérique sur un réseau IP partagé, PYKO-out
offre des solutions professionnelles pour une
grande gamme d’applications audio
professionnelles : transport, musique de fond
industrie, pagination et broadcast.
Veuillez vous reporter au manuel utilisateur
complet pour toute information concernant la
compatibilité électromagnétique et les
déclarations de conformité CE et FCC,
l’installation, la configuration et l’utilisation du
système. Ce manuel, les dernières informations
techniques et les solutions aux questions les plus

CONTENU DE LA BOITE
Dans l’emballage vous disposez:
•d’un appareil PYKO-out
•d’une contre-fiche pour le connecteur
d’alimentation
CONNEXION DE VOTRE PYKO-OUT
Il est recommandé d’établir tous les raccordements
avant de mettre l’appareil sous tension.
Mise en route
Utiliser un câble Ethernet pour connecter votre
PYKO-out au réseau en utilisant son port RJ45
(marqué ‘ETH.’ sur la face arrière). Si vous voulez
connecter votre PYKO-out directement à votre
ordinateur, veuillez utiliser un câble croisé.
Brancher un casque audio (face avant).
Munissez-vous d’un stylo et de papier afin d’écrire
l’adresse IP qui sera annoncée par la sortie casque.
Brancher le câble d’alimentation au secteur (marqué
‘PWR’ sur la face arrière).
GESTION DU PYKO-OUT
Le PYKO-out embarque un serveur web, ce qui
vous permet de contrôler le PYKO avec votre
navigateur Internet favori.
Au démarrage le PYKO annonce son adresse IP
sur la sortie casque. Notez cette adresse. Le
PYKO-out est configuré en sortie d'usine avec
l'adresse IP 192.168.0.100.
Ouvrez votre navigateur web.
Taper l’adresse IP du PYKO-out dans la barre
d’adresse puis appuyer sur ‘Entrée’.
Vous pouvez maintenant visualiser les pages web
qui vous permettront de paramétrer l’équipement
dont les paramètres réseau de l’équipement
(Menu :
Settings/Network ). Après avoir changé
l’adresse IP, n’oubliez pas de taper la nouvelle
adresse IP du PYKO-out dans la barre d’adresse
puis appuyez sur ‘Entrée’.
Veuillez ensuite paramétrer les trois niveaux de
priorité audio (Menu :
Audio )
Niveaux de priorités
Sur la sortie stéréo du PYKO-out, avec le firmware
‘Play-out’ (installé par défaut en configuration d’usine),
il existe trois niveaux de priorités. Ces trois niveaux
sont accessibles par les pages web.
Si un flux est envoyé sur le niveau ‘1’, il sera joué avec
la plus haute priorité. Il est donc recommandé
d’attribuer les flux audio au niveau ‘2’. Ainsi le niveau 1
reste disponible pour un flux venant d’un système
d’alarme.
Si le flux du niveau ‘2
’ disparait, le PYKO-out jouera le
flux du niveau ‘3
’ . Dés que le flux du niveau ‘2’ est à
nouveau disponible, le PYKO-out rebascule sur ce
niveau.

CONTENTS OF THIS PACKAGE
The package consists of the following components:
•a PYKO-out device
•a counterpart for the power connector
CONNECTING YOUR PYKO-out DEVICE
It is recommended to establish all connections before
powering the device up.
Set-up
Use an Ethernet cable to connect your PYKO-out to
the network through its RJ45 port (labeled ‘ETH.’ on
the back panel). To connect your PYKO-out directly to
your computer, use a crossover cable.
Plug your headphones (front panel).
Prepare pen and paper in order to write the IP
address down, which will be announced over the
headphones output.
Connect the electric cable to the plug labeled ‘PWR’
on the back panel and to the power outlet.
MANAGING THE PYKO-out
PYKO-out embeds a web server that enables you to
control the PYKO through your favorite Internet
browser.
At start-up, PYKO will announce its IP
address over the headphones output. Write
this address down! PYKO-out factory
setting is IP address configured at
192.168.0.100
Open your web browser. Type the PYKO-out IP
address into the address bar and hit the ‘Enter’ key.
You can now visualize the Web pages that enable you
to parameterize the device, including the network
settings (Menu: Settings/Network ). Once the IP
address changed, don’t forget to type the new IP
address into the address bar of your browser and hit
the ‘Enter’ key.
Next, set the parameters for the three audio stream
priority levels (Menu: Audio )
For more details on parameterizing your PYKO-out in ‘stand-
alone’ mode, please refer to on-line help of the html pages.
Priority levels
With the ‘Play-out’ firmware (default factory setting)
there are three priority levels on the PYKO-out stereo
output. These three levels are accessible through the web
pages.
A stream sent on level ‘1’ will be played with the highest
priority. Therefore, it is recommended to assign the audio
streams to the level ‘2’to let level ‘1’ available for a
stream coming from an alarm system.
In case the level ‘2’ stream disappears, PYKO-out will
play a level ‘3’ stream. As soon as the level ‘2’ stream is
available again, PYKO-out switches back to this level.
