When using electrical appliances, basic precautions should always be followed to reduce the
risk of re, electrical shock and injury to persons, including the following:
If the appliance is damaged, check with the supplier before installation and operation.
Do not use outdoors.
Do not use in the immediate surroundings of a bath, shower or swimming pool.
Do not locate the appliance immediately below a xed socket outlet or connection box.
Warning: This heater must not be used for anything other than normal domestic household

This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been
given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand
the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance
shall not be made by Children without supervision.
Children of less than 3 years should be kept away unless continuously supervised. Children
aged from 3 years and less than 8 years shall only switch on/off the appliance provided that it
has been placed or installed in its intended normal operating position and they have been given
supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understanding the
hazards involved. Children aged from 3 years and less than 8 years shall not plug in, regulate
and clean the appliance or perform user maintenance.
Warning: This appliance must be earthed.
The use of an extension lead or multi-plug adaptor is not advised when connecting this product
to the mains. Connection through these devices could lead to a risk of overloading, overheating
and even re at the extension lead or adaptor due to inadequate connection quality.
This heater must be used on an ~alternating current supply (~) only and the voltage marked on
the heater must correspond to the supply voltage.
Do not use this appliance in series with a thermal control, a program controller, a timer or any
other device that switches on the heat automatically, since a re risk exists when the appliance
is accidentally covered or displaced.
DO NOT use the heater on deep pile carpets or the long hair type of rugs, or less than 750mm
(30”) away from any overhanging surface. Keep combustible materials such as drapes and
other furnishings clear from the front, sides and rear of the heater. Do not use heater to dry your
laundry.
In the event of a fault unplug the appliance. Unplug the appliance when not required for long
periods.
The appliance must be positioned so that the plug is accessible. If the supply cord is damaged
it must be replaced by the manufacturer or service agent or a similarly qualied person in order
to avoid a hazard. Keep the supply cord away from the front of the appliance.

A sudden change in temperature (for example, moving the unit from frost to a warm room) can cause
condensation of moisture inside the device and disrupt its operability when turned on.
The device, after transporting or storing at a negative temperature of outside air, must be kept in a
warm room for at least 3 hours, after which it can be put into operation
The re incorporates a ame effect, which can be used with or without heating, so that the comforting
effect may be enjoyed at any time of the year.
A fan heater can provide heating in cold weather. A distance of 1 metre (3 feet) must be maintained
between the front of the heater and any surrounding furniture, overhanging curtains or other
obstructions.
To reduce heat loss and to prevent any chimney up draft affecting the operation of your inset re we
recommend they the chimney ue is sealed off.
Always ensure that the appliance is sitting on a level surface.
Before connecting the appliance, check that the supply voltage is the same as that stated on the
appliance.
Only use ltered water in this appliance.
Once installed, never move this appliance or lay it on its back, without draining the water from sump
and water tank. The water tank, sump, sump lid, tank cap and air lters must be cleaned once every
2 weeks, particularly in hard water areas. If you intend not using the appliance for longer than 2
weeks, drain the water from sump and water tank and dry the sump.
Please note: Used in an environment where background noise is very low, it may be possible to
hear a sound which is related to the operation of the ame effect. This is normal and should not be
a cause for concern.
The sump and the water tank in this product are treated with a biocidal product, Silver Biocide in
order to control harmful or unwanted organisms. This conforms with the latest relevant ISO standard.
Do not drink the water from the sump or from the water tank(s)

Caution: Some parts of this product can become very hot and cause burns. Particular attention
has to be given where children and vulnerable people are present.
Warning: In order to avoid overheating, do not cover the appliance. Do not place material or
garments on the appliance, or obstruct the air circulation around the appliance, for instance by
curtains or furniture, as this could cause overheating and a re risk.

Warning: In order to avoid a hazard due to inadvertent resetting of the thermal cut-out, this
appliance must not be supplied through an external switching device, such as a timer, or
connected to a circuit that is regularly switched on and off by the utility.
General Information

This heater must be used on an AC ~ supply only and the voltage marked on the heater must
correspond to the supply voltage. Before switching on, please read the safety warnings and operating
instructions. Please retain this user’s guide for future reference
Before installing this appliance in an existing chimney, we recommend that;
1. You have your chimney cleaned by a competent chimney sweep.
2. You block off the chimney ue.
This procedure is important for the efcient operation of the heating unit and will also reduce heat
loss up the chimney.
Ensure that all packing items are removed (read any warning labels carefully). Retain all packing for
possible future use e.g. in the event of moving or returning the appliance to your supplier.
Installing the Appliance;
1. Clean the area where the re will be installed e.g remove ash residue from an existing replace.
2. Hold the re by the sides of surround and gently manoeuvre into position.
3. Plug the re into a 13amp/240 volt outlet. Ensure that the supply cable is not trapped under the
re such that it might cause it to be damaged.
4. Ensure that the draft excluder (rubber strip) is tted to the channel on the base of the product.
Connecting the Transducer
1. Gently lift out the fuelbed and carefully set aside. (Fig 3)
2. Remove the water tank by lifting upwards and outwards. (Fig 4)
3. Remove the nozzle by unclipping and lifting upwards and outwards. (Fig 5)
4. The transducer will be inside the sump. Remove from its bag.
5. Place the Transducer unit into the sump and make the connection.
6. Locate the tab on the Transducer unit into the moulded recess in the base of the sump (Fig 6)
7. Ensure that the cable does not obstruct the Transducer disc. To prevent the cable becoming
pinched between the nozzle and the sump, place the cable in the slot in the wall of the sump.

Filling the Water Tank
1. Gently lift out the fuelbed and carefully set aside.
2. Remove the water tank by lifting upwards and outwards.
3. Place the water tank in sink and remove cap, Anti-clockwise to open. (Fig 8)
3. Fill tank with ltered tap water only. This is necessary to prolong the life of the ame and smoke
producing unit. The water should be ltered through a conventional domestic water lter unit and
the lter should be replaced regularly.
6. Screw the cap back on, do not over tighten.
7. Return the tank to the sump, with the tank cap facing down
8. Gently place the fuelbed back into position.
When the water tank is empty, the ame and smoke effect shuts off, you will hear 2 audible beeps
and the digital display will display

Manual Controls
The manual controls are located beneath the hinged ap at the top of the product. (Fig 2)
is the on/standby button. Press it once to turn on the product. Press it again to turn off the product.
When turned on a ‘beep’ will sound and the digital display will show followed by the current
room temperature. The display will then turn off. The fuelbed will light up. Be careful not to look
directly into the fuelbed as the LED lights are very bright. It will take a approximatly 45 seconds
before the ame effect starts.

Press it once and you will be in the options. The display will show the current setting. Using
the and buttons you can turn the heat on at the LOW or HIGH setting and turn the heat OFF.
You will hear two ‘beeps’ for LOW heat setting, three ‘beeps’ for HIGH heat setting and one ‘beep’
when the heat is turned off.
Press it a second time and you will be in the temperature set mode . The display will show the
current room temperature and then the set point temperature. Using the and buttons you can
adjust the set point temperature up and down. Note: if the set point temperature is below the room
temperature the heat function will not operate. The temperature range is from 15-35°C
Press it a third time and you will be in the Fire mode. The display will show followed by the
current re effect setting. There are six re settings. Using the and buttons you can adjust the
height of the ame effect.
Remote control
The remote control is supplied with a battery already in place. Simply pull on the clear plastic tab on
the back of the remote control to enable the battery.
• is the on/standby button. Press it once to turn on the product. Press it again to turn off the
product. When turned on you will hear on ‘beep’ and the digital display will show followed
by displaying the current room temperature. The display will then turn off. The main LED lights
will activate. Be careful not to look directly into the LED’s. These are very bright. Although the
main lights operate immediately it will take a further 45 seconds before the ame effect starts.
• Press once to activate heat setting. Press it again to activate heat setting.
If you continue to press this button you will cycle through the LOW and HIGH heat settings. You
will heat two ‘beeps’ for LOW heat setting and three ‘beeps’ for HIGH heat setting.
• Press once to turn off the heat. You will hear one ‘beep’

Operating The Product

General Tips
Only use ltered tap water in this appliance.
Always ensure that the appliance is sitting on a level surface.
If you intend not using the appliance for longer than 2 weeks, remove and empty the sump and water
tank.
Once installed, never move this appliance or lay on its back, without draining the water from sump
and water tank.
Cleaning
Warning – Always press to turn off the product and disconnect the product from the power supply
before cleaning the re. Leave the appliance for 10 minutes to allow the product to cool down.
We recommend cleaning the following components once every 2 weeks,
particularly in hard water areas:
Water Tank, Sump, Nozzle, Tank cap and seal, Air lter.

• Press the and buttons to adjust your set point temperature. Note: if the set point temperature
is below the room temperature, the heat function will not operate. The temperature range is from
15 - 35°C
• Press to increase the setting.
• Press to decrease the setting.
Setting the Thermostat
Plug in the product and press to turn it on. Press the button twice to enter the temperature
set mode . The current room temperature will be displayed (e.g. r23C) followed by the current
set point room temperature (e.g. 26C). Press the and buttons to select your set point room
temperature. Allow the display to turn off. Press the button once to enter the Heat option. Press
the and buttons to select either or heat output. The heater will turn on when your
set point room temperature is higher than the room temperature.
Thermal Safety Cut-out
A thermal safety cut-out is incorporated in the fan heater to prevent damage due to overheating. This
can happen if the heat outlet was restricted in any way. If the cut-out operates, unplug the heater
from the socket outlet and allow approximately 10 minutes before reconnecting. Before switching
the heater back on remove any obstruction that may be restricting the heat outlet, then continue
normal operation.
CAUTION: In order to avoid a hazard due to inadvertent resetting of the thermal cutout, this appliance
must not be supplied through an external switching device, such as a timer, or connected to a switch
that is regularly switched on and off by the utility.
Getting the Desired Flame Effect
1. Using the manual controls or the remote control choose a setting between F1 and F6. F1
being the lowest setting and F6 being the highest setting.
2. Generally the ames appear more realistic when the ame control is turned down.
3. Give the ame generator time to react to changes you may make.
4. The re will use less water if the ame effect is set to a lower level.
5. Do not tilt or move the re while there is water in the tank or sump.
6. Make sure that the re is on a level oor.
Maintenance

For general cleaning use a soft clean duster – never use abrasive cleaners.
To remove any accumulation of dust or uff, the soft brush attachment of a vacuum cleaner should
occasionally be used to clean the outlet grille of the fan heater.
Water Tank
1. Remove water tank, as described earlier, put into sink and empty water.
2. Using the supplied brush gently rub the inside surfaces of the cap paying particular attention to
the rubber ring in the outer groove and the center rubber seal.
3. Put a small quantity of washing up liquid into the tank, ret the cap and shake well, rinse out until
all traces of washing up liquid are gone.
4. Rell with ltered tap water only, replace the cap, do not over tighten.
Sump
Press to put the product into standby
Gently lift out the fuelbed and place carefully on the ground.
Remove the water tank by lifting upwards.
Remove the sump lid, this allows the sump to be lifted completely from its location. (Fig 5)
Gently lift up the sump, taking care to keep level so as not to spill any water. Sit the assembly in the
sink.
Carefully tilt so that the liquid drains out of the sump.
Put a small amount of washing up liquid into the sump, and using the supplied brush, gently clean
all surfaces including the metal disc (Fig 9)
When cleaned, thoroughly rinse the sump with clean water.
Clean the outlet surface of the sump lid with the brush and ush out thoroughly with water.
Reverse the above steps to reassemble.
Air Filter
1. Press on the remote control or on the product to turn it off
2. Gently lift off the fuelbed and set aside
3. Remove the tank and place in a sink with the cap facing upwards.
4. Gently slide up the air lter (Fig. 10)
5. Gently rinse with water in the sink and dry with fabric towel before returning.
6. Replace the lter making sure that the course black lter is in contact with the plastic holder.
7. Replace the tank.
8. Replace the fuelbed.
9. Press to turn on the product
General Cleaning and Maintenance
The outside can be cleaned by wiping it over with a soft damp cloth and then dried. Do not use abra-
sive cleaning powders or furniture polish, as this can damage the surface nish.
CAUTION: Assembly, installation and repair of this heater must be carried out by Dimplex or its
authorised agent.
CAUTION: We recommend that you arrange for this heater to be checked annually for safety by a
qualied electrician.

After Sales Service
Your product is guaranteed for one year from the date of purchase. Within this period, we undertake
to repair or exchange this product free of charge (excluding transducer discs & subject to availability)
provided it has been installed and operated in accordance with these instructions. Your rights under
this guarantee are additional to your statutory rights, which in turn are not affected by this guarantee.
The transducer is a consumable item and may need to be replaced through time, depending on its
usage.
The transducer has a 12 month warranty period.
CAUTION: Do not use if the heater’s mains power lead is damaged. Such use may cause a hazard.
If damaged, the mains power lead must be replaced by the manufacturer or its authorised dealer.
Recycling
For electrical products sold within the European Community - At the end of the electrical
products useful life it not be disposed of with household waste. Please recycle where facilities
exist. Check with your Local Authority or retailer for recycling advice in your country.

Перед установкой камина в существующую трубу рекомендуется:
1. Обратиться к квалифицированному специалисту для очистки дымовой трубы.
2. Перекрыть дымовую трубу.
Это важно для эффективной работы нагревательного элемента, а также уменьшит тепловые
потери через трубу.
Убедитесь, что упаковка полностью снята (внимательно читайте все предупреждающие
надписи). Сохраните все элементы упаковки для возможного использования в будущем,
например, для перевозки устройства или его возврата продавцу.
Установка устройства;
1. Очистите область, куда будет устанавливаться камин: уберите пепел из существующего
камина.
2. Удерживая камин за боковые рукояти аккуратно поставьте его на место.
3. Подключите камин к розетке в 13 А / 240 В. Убедитесь, что шнур камина не попал под него
и не поврежден.
4. Убедитесь, что утеплитель (резиновая лента) вставлен в паз в основании устройства.
Подключение преобразователя
1. Аккуратно извлеките топочную корзину и поставьте ее в сторону. (рис. 3).
2. Снимите бак для воды, подняв его вверх и наружу. (рис. 4).
3. Снимите форсунку, отсоединив фиксаторы и подняв ее вверх и наружу (рис. 5).
4. Преобразователь вы найдете внутри поддона. Выньте его из чехла.
5. Вставьте преобразователь в поддон и подключите его к разъему.
6. Вставьте выступ на преобразователе в углубление в основании поддона (рис. 6).
7. Убедитесь, что кабель не мешает диску преобразователя. Чтобы кабель не зажало между
форсункой и сливной емкостью, поместите его в паз в стенке поддона. (рис. 7).
Заполнение бака водой
1. Аккуратно извлеките топочную корзину и поставьте ее в сторону.
2. Снимите бак для воды, подняв его вверх и наружу.
3. Поставьте бак для воды в раковину и снимите пробку, повернув ее против часовой стрелки.
(рис. 8).
4. Заполняйте бак только фильтрованной водой. Это необходимо для увеличения срока
службы блока создания эффекта пламени и дыма. Воду следует фильтровать обычным
бытовым фильтром для воды. Фильтрующий элемент необходимо регулярно заменять.
5. Закрутите пробку, не перетягивая ее.
6. Установите бак в поддон, пробкой вниз.
7. Аккуратно поставьте топочную корзину на место.
Если бак для воды пуст, эффект пламени и дыма отключается. Вы услышите
два звуковых сигнала, а на дисплее отобразится

Ручное управление
Кнопки ручного управления расположены под откидной заслонкой в верхней части устройства
(рис. 2).

Дистанционное управление
Пульт ДУ поставляется уже с батарейками внутри. Просто выньте прозрачную пластиковую

Общие рекомендации
Используйте только фильтрованную воду.
Обязательно убедитесь, что устройство стоит на ровной поверхности.
Если вы не собираетесь пользоваться устройством более 2 недель, снимите бак для воды и
поддон и слейте воду.
После установки никогда не передвигайте устройство и не кладите его, не слив воду из
поддона и бака.
Очистка

Получение желаемого эффекта пламени

Рекомендуется проводить чистку следующих компонентов каждые 2 недели,
особенно в регионах с жесткой водой
бак для воды, поддон, форсунка, пробка и прокладка бака, воздушный фильтр.
Для общей очистки используйте мягкую чистую тряпку. Никогда не используйте абразивные
чистящие средства.
Для удаления скоплений пыли или пуха иногда необходимо использовать мягкую щетку для
пылесоса, чтобы очистить решетку вытяжки вентилятора нагревателя.
Бак для воды
1. Снимите бак для воды, как описано выше, поместите его в раковину и слейте воду.
2. Входящей в комплект щеткой аккуратно потрите внутренние поверхности крышки, уделяя
особое внимание резиновому уплотнительному кольцу в наружном пазе и центральному
резиновому уплотнителю.
3. Залейте небольшое количество чистящего средства в бак, закрутите крышку и хорошо
потрясите, затем промойте водой, пока вода не станет совершенно чистой.
4. Заполняйте бак для воды только фильтрованной водой. Установите крышку на

Поддон

Un brusque changement de température (par exemple le déplacement de l’appareil d’un endroit
exposé au gel à une pièce chauffée) peut provoquer une condensation de l’humidité à l’intérieur de
l’appareil et perturber son bon fonctionnement lors de sa mise en marche.
Après avoir été transporté ou remisé à l’air libre sous une température négative, l’appareil doit être
conservé dans une pièce chauffée pendant au moins 3 heures, après quoi il pourra être mis en
service.
Le foyer est composé d’un effet de amme qui peut être utilisé avec ou sans chauffage, de sorte que
la sensation apaisante peut être appréciée tout au long de l’année.
Un générateur d'air chaud peut fournir le chauffage en temps froid. Une distance de 1 mètre doit être
maintenue entre l'avant de l'appareil de chauffage et tout meuble environnant, rideaux en surplomb
ou autres obstacles.
Pour réduire la perte de chaleur et empêcher tout tirage avant d'affecter le fonctionnement de votre
insert, nous recommandons de sceller le conduit de la cheminée.
Assurez-vous toujours que l'appareil est placé sur une surface plane.
Avant de brancher l'appareil, vériez que la tension d'alimentation est la même que celle indiquée
sur celui-ci.
N'utilisez que de l'eau ltrée dans cet appareil.
Une fois installé, l'appareil ne doit pas être déplacé ni posé à l'envers sans vidanger l'eau du bac et
du réservoir. Le réservoir d'eau, le bac, le couvercle du bac, le bouchon du réservoir et les ltres à
air doivent être nettoyés toutes les deux semaines, en particulier dans les zones d'eau dure. Si vous
prévoyez de ne pas utiliser l'appareil pendant plus de deux semaines, vidangez l'eau du bac et du
réservoir et séchez le bac.
Remarque : Utilisé dans un environnement où le bruit de fond est très faible, l’effet de amme
s’accompagne d’un son audible dans un environnement silencieux. C’est normal et cela ne doit pas
susciter d’inquiétudes.
Le bac et le réservoir d'eau de cet appareil sont traités avec un produit biocide, Silver Biocide, an
de contrôler les organismes nuisibles ou indésirables. Ce produit est conforme à la dernière norme
ISO pertinente. Ne buvez pas l'eau du bac ou du réservoir.

Ce radiateur doit être utilisé sur une alimentation en courant alternatif uniquement et la tension
indiquée sur l’appareil de chauffage doit correspondre à la tension d’alimentation. Lisez
attentivement les consignes de sécurité et les instructions d'utilisation avant de mettre l'appareil
en marche. Veuillez conserver ce guide de l'utilisateur pour référence ultérieure.
Avant d'installer cet appareil sur une cheminée existante, nous vous recommandons de :
1. Faire nettoyer votre cheminée par un ramoneur compétent ;
2. Bloquer le conduit de cheminée.
Cette procédure est importante pour le fonctionnement efcace de l'unité de chauffage et réduira
aussi la perte de chaleur par la cheminée.
Assurez-vous que tous les éléments d'emballage sont retirés (lisez attentivement les étiquettes
d'avertissement). Conservez tout l'emballage pour une éventuelle utilisation ultérieure, que ce
soit pour un déménagement ou un retour au fournisseur.
Installation de l'appareil ;
1. Nettoyez la zone d'installation du foyer, par exemple enlevez les résidus de cendres d'un ancien
foyer.
2. Tenez le foyer par les côtés et manœuvrez doucement pour le mettre en place.
3. Branchez le foyer sur une prise de 13 ampères / 240 volts. Assurez-vous que le câble
d'alimentation n'est pas coincé sous le foyer pour éviter de l'endommager.
4. Assurez-vous que le coupe-vent (bande de caoutchouc) est monté sur le conduit situé à la
base de l'appareil.
Connexion du transducteur
1. Soulevez délicatement le lit de carburant et mettez-le soigneusement de côté. (Fig. 3)
2. Retirez le réservoir d'eau en le soulevant et en le tirant vers l'extérieur. (Fig. 4)
3. Retirez la buse en la détachant et en la soulevant et en tirant vers l'extérieur. (Fig. 5)
4. Le transducteur est à l'intérieur du bac. Retirez-le de son sac.
5. Placez l'unité de transducteur dans le bac et établissez la connexion.
6. Localisez la languette sur l'unité de transducteur dans la cavité moulée située à la base du bac
(Fig. 6)
7. Assurez-vous que le câble n'obstrue pas le disque du transducteur. Pour éviter que le câble
ne se coince entre la buse et le carter, placez-le dans la fente de la paroi du carter. (Fig. 7)
Remplissage du réservoir d'eau
1. Soulevez délicatement le lit de carburant et mettez-le soigneusement de côté.
2. Retirez le réservoir d'eau en le soulevant et en le tirant vers l'extérieur.
3. Placez le réservoir d’eau dans l’évier et retirez le bouchon, dans le sens inverse des aiguilles
d’une montre pour l’ouvrir. (Fig. 8)
3. Remplissez le réservoir avec de l'eau du robinet ltrée uniquement. Cela est nécessaire pour
prolonger la durée de vie de l’appareil générateur de amme et de fumée. L'eau doit être ltrée
avec un ltre à eau domestique conventionnel et le ltre doit être remplacé régulièrement.
6. Revissez le bouchon, ne serrez pas trop.
7. Remettez le réservoir dans le bac, avec le bouchon du réservoir vers le bas.
8. Remettez délicatement le lit de combustible en place.
Lorsque le réservoir d'eau est vide, l'effet de amme et de fumée s'éteint, vous entendrez 2 bips
sonores et l'afchage numérique s'afchera.

Commandes manuelles
Les commandes manuelles se trouvent derrière le volet articulé situé en haut de l'appareil. (Fig. 2)

et vous pouvez régler à la hausse ou à la baisse la température du point de consigne. Remarque :
si la température du point de consigne est inférieure à celle de la pièce, la fonction de chaleur ne
fonctionnera pas. La plage de température est comprise entre 15 et 35 °C.
Appuyez dessus une troisième fois pour passer en mode Fire (Foyer). L'écran afchera suivi
du réglage actuel de l'effet de foyer. Il existe six réglages de foyer. À l'aide des boutons et vous
pouvez régler la hauteur de l'effet de amme.
Télécommande
La télécommande est fournie avec une pile déjà installée. Tirez tout simplement sur la languette en
plastique clair située au dos de la télécommande pour activer la pile.

pour activer le réglage de la chaleur. Si vous continuez à appuyer sur ce bouton, vous
parcourrez l'ensemble des réglages LOW (BAS) et HIGH (HAUT) de la chaleur. Vous entendrez
deux bips pour les réglages de chaleur LOW (BAS) et trois bips pour les réglages de chaleur
HIGH (HAUT).
