Whenusingelectricalappliances,basicprecautionsshouldalwaysbefollowed

2. Theheaterishotwheninuse.Toavoidburns,donotletbareskintouch

!NOTE: A15Amp,120Voltcircuitisrequired.Adedicatedcircuit
ispreferredbutnotessentialinallcases.Adedicatedcircuitwill
berequiredif,afterinstallation,thecircuitbreakertripsorfuse
blowsonaregularbasiswhentheheaterisoperating.Additional
appliances on the same circuit may exceed the current rating of the
circuitbreaker.
WARNING: Ensurethepowercordisnotinstalledsothatitis
pinched or against a sharp edge and ensure that the power cord is

 Youshouldallow1/4inch(6.4cm)aroundthereplaceinsertfor
easeofinstallation.Thisreplacedoesnotrequireanyventing.
CAUTION: Clearanceforaircirculationbeneaththereplaceinsert
isprovidedbyfour(4)rubberfeet(Figure2).Do not install the
replaceinsertdirectlyoncarpetorsimilarsurfaceswhich

mayrestrictaircirculation.Ifinstallingthereplaceinacarpeted
area,placeaone-piece,solid,atsurfaceunderthereplaceinsert.
Ensurethatallfouroftheinsert’sfeetrestsecurelyonthissurface.
ExistingFireplaceInstallation
1. Sealalldraftsandventswithnon-brousinsulationmaterialsto
preventchimneydebrisfromfallingintothereplaceinsert.Donot
installintoanexistingreplacethatispronetoleaksordampness.
2. Capthetopofthechimneyuetopreventrainfromentering.
3. Planyourelectricalpowersupply(refertoNOTE1).
4. Thepowercordcanrunalongthefrontofthehearthtoanoutlet
nearthereplace.

2. Placethereplaceinthedesiredlocationtoseehowitwilllookin
theroom.
3. Foreaseofelectricalhookupyoumaywishtolocatethereplace
nearanexistingoutlet(refertoNOTE1).
4. Storethereplaceinasafedryanddustfreelocation.
5. Assemblethemantelsurroundkit(refertothemantelassembly
instructions) or construct the custom surround with an opening of
303/4inch(78.1cm)wideX253/4inch(65.4cm)highX113/4
inch(29.8cm)deep(Figure3).

Fireplace Insert Installation
1. Makesuretheunit’sMainON/OFFswitchisswitchedOFF(referto
operatinginstructionsection).
2. Plugtheunitintoa15Amp/120Voltoutlet.Ifthecorddoesnot
reach,youmayuseanextensioncordratedforaminimumof1875
Watts.
3. Pushthereplaceintotheopeningbeingcarefulnottodamagethe
baseofthemantelorcabinetsothatthereplaceisushwiththe
mantelorcabinet.
4. Leveltheunitwithshimsifnecessary(notprovided).
5. Installthetrimontothereplace(refertotriminstallation
instructions).
