Look on your vacuum cleaner and follow all label and marking instructions.

Keep end of hose, wands and other openings away from your face and body. Keep your hands, feet, hair and clothing away from moving parts;

Do not use the vacuum cleaner without dirt container andlor filters in place.
Storethe vacuum cleaner indoors. Put the vacuum cleaner away after use to prevent trippingaccidents.
Do not pick up anything that is burningor smoking, such as cigarettes, matches, or hot ashes.
* Hold plug when rewindingonto cord reel. Do not allow plugto whip when rewinding.
The hose contains electricalwires. Do not use when damaged, cut, or punctured.Avoid picking up sharp objects.
* Always turn off this appliancebeforeconnecting or disconnectingeither hose or motorizednozzle.

1. Snaptogetherthe two interlockingwands untilpinlocksin place.
2. Pushassembledwands into power nozzle.
3. Presscord into slotsonbackofwands.
4. Inserthandleendof hoseintoassembledwands.
5. Plugpowernozzlecord into hose.
HOSE INSTALLATIONAND REMOVAL

INSTALLINGHOSE.
1. Holdhose adapterso that cord isonthe bottom.
2. Lineup adapter with hoseinletholeonfaceof cleaner (Diagram 1).
3. Slide adapter intohose inlet holeand turn clockwiseto lock (Diagram 2).
4. Give hose a slighttugto besure itis in place securely.
5. Plugendof externalhose cord intooutlet oncanister belowthe hoseattachmentarea (Diagram 3).
HOW TO OPERATE:
1. Plugpowercord into electrical outlet.
2. Turncanister "on" bydepressingcenterswitch labeled"push"on powercontrol button(Diagram 4).
3. Selectproperspeedby rotatingdial. Speed rangesfrom highto low.
4. Selectcarpet or barefloor cleaning.
a. Carpet Cleaning
- Depress power switchwithyour foot toturnthe power nozzle "on".
Besure brushroll is rotatingfor effectivecleaningand grooming.
b. Bare Floor Cleaning
- Power nozzle: Depressthe powerswitchagaintoturn the power
nozzleoff. Besure brushrollstopsrotating. Bare Floor Brush: Disconnectpower nozzle
and attach brushto wands. NOTE: to reduce the risk ofinjury
- unplug cleaner before con-
nectingor disconnectingpower nozzle.
ATTACHMENT INSTALLATIONAND REMOVAL
1. Chooseany of the handy accessoriesto meetyour various cleaningneeds. Then simply push
it
firmly intothe hoseorwand end.
2. The hosecan beused aloneorwith many combinations of wands andtools. Pushthewand into
the hosehandleuntilthe pinlocksinto place.
3. To removethe tool, pullapart gently. You maygently rotatethe attachment backandforth a little
to makethe removaleasier. To unlock thewand, pushpin, rotate andthenpullapart.
AUTO CORD WRAP
1. Pushbuttonfor automatic cord rewind(Diagram4).
2. Retractablecord isonthe backofthe canister (Diagram6).

1. Removedirt container by liftingfrom the front (Diagram 1). Tilt dirt containerstraight upandout of canister(Diagram

d he pkatedfilter is attachedto the dirt container lid. Itcan be cleanedperiodically
byshakingor brushingthe dirt out ofthe pleats. After continuoususage the filter mayneedto bereplaced.
4. Placethe tab onthe front of the dirt containerinthe slot onthe frontof the canisterwhen returningthe dirt container to its position,
and lock handleinplace (Diagram 1).
CLEANINGDlRT CONTAINER:
1. Use a sponge and lukewarmwater to wipe compartmentclean. Letdry completelybefore usingagain.

FILTER REMOVAL & REPLACEMENT
WARNING: TO REDUCETHE RlSK OF INJURY FROM MOVINGPARTS - UNPLUG BEFORESERVICING.
1. Removedirt containerfrom canister (Diagram 1).
2. To replacefilter-remove filter assemblyfrom dirt container (Dia gram 2). Discardold filter. Replacewith newfilter.
3. To replace exhaust filter ontop of the cleaner
- liftthefilter cover (Diagram3). Removeand replacethefiltercassette (Diagram 4).
Closefilter cover.
4. Placethe tabon thefrontof the dirt container inthe slot onthefrontof the canisterwhen returningthedirt container to its position
(Diagram 1).
5. Filterreplacementscanbeordered bycallingtollfree 1-800-321-1 134.Filter part#2-260440-000. Exhaust Filter part #2-260230-000.
