Product Description
This document describes the hardware installation procedures for the
TS-RMP Series Stainless Steel Wall Plate Temperature Sensors,
including one model with tamper proof screws.
The TS-RMP Series is a single gang, blank stainless steel wall plate
that incorporates a precision temperature sensor used to monitor room
temperatures where additional security is required. Additional options
are available that include manual override.
The TS-RMP Series can be flush mounted directly to a single gang
electrical box or directly to a wall. Insulating foam is adhered to the
back of the wall plate to provide a thermal barrier from internal wall
temperatures.
A pigtail is used for connection to the Building Automation System.
The TS-RMP Series can accommodate a wide variety of sensing
elements such as NTC thermistors, RTD elements, Nickel RTD
elements and IC sensors. A 10 kΩ, type 2, NTC thermistor is standard.
General Installation Requirements
For proper installation and subsequent operation of each device, pay
special attention to the following recommendations:
- Upon unpacking the product, inspect the contents of the carton for
shipping damages. Do not install damaged device.
- Avoid areas where corroding, deteriorating or explosive vapors,
fumes or gases may be present.
- Ensure that all equipment is installed according to local, regional,
and national regulations.
Take reasonable precautions to prevent electrostatic
discharges to the controller when installing, servicing or
operating the controller. Discharge accumulated static
electricity by touching one’s hand to a well-grounded object
before working with the controller.
Wiring
All two-wire sensors are polarity insensitive.
Installation
Surface sensors can be mounted directly on a wall or to a wall box. For
the most accurate results, units should be mounted on an inside wall to
a wall box, away from any supply air exhausts and other sources of
heat or cold.
