INSTRUCTIONS
1. Remove the ballast from its packaging. Attach the rubber feet to the base of the ballast.
2. Mount the ballast as needed (using the attached mounting brackets) or set it on a flat surface, with
the rubber feet down. Make sure there is plenty of empty space/breathing room around the ballast,
as it will give off heat and needs to be properly ventilated.
3. Plug the reflector cord into the ballast. Make sure the connection is snug.
4. Set the wattage dimming knob to 100%. Please Note: Always start your bulb at 100%. Once the
bulb has been warmed up, afte approximately 10-15 minutes, you may dim it as desired. Do not
rapidly adjust the dimming knob. Allow the bulb to adjust after each turn.
5. Plug the included power cord into the ballast, and plug the other end into your power source/timer/
controller. You will know the ballast is on when it starts to hum, however it can take up to 10 minutes
for a bulb to initially ignite.

Congratulations on your recent purchase of a B-LITE Ballast, one of the leading brands in the Hydroponics industry!
All B-Lite ballasts come with a 2 year warranty (1 year full, 1 year prorated*) against original manufacturer defects. The warranty does
not cover damage resulting from the misuse of the products. If you have questions or concerns about proper product usage, please see
the reverse side of this insert, and always seek help from a certified electrician.
If you are a consumer with a malfunctioning B-Lite ballast, please contact the retailer that you purchased it from and DL Wholesale will
work with that retailer to fulfill the warranty.

PLEASE READ BEFORE OPERATING YOUR BALLAST
WARNING: Failure to adhere to the following safety precautions will void all warranties and can cause fatal injuries and/or
property damage. If in doubt, always ask a certified electrician.
1. NEVER attempt to rewire or alter any internal or external mechanisms or components on the ballast. This includes trying to cut
and/or rewire the cords.
2. NEVER attempt to hang or mount the ballast by its power cord or any part other than the attached mounting brackets.
3. NEVER get the ballast wet or allow it to come into contact with water or any other liquids.
4. NEVER attempt to open up the ballast’s housing. If repairs are needed, contact the store the ballast was purchased from, or
DL Wholesale directly.
5. NEVER drop, shake or jostle the ballast.
6. NEVER attempt to insulate or otherwise cover the ballast, as it releases a great deal of heat and may cause a fire or other
damage. Ballasts should always have plenty of room to breathe and good ventilation around them.
7. NEVER stack multiple ballasts on top of each other, as this can also cause a fire or other damage.
8. NEVER use a ballast that appears to be damaged or a ballast that you know has been dropped, shaken, exposed to water, or
otherwise damaged.
9. NEVER attempt to plug in ay bulbs or components to any other components that are already turned on or have electricity
running through them. The last step should always be to switch on the power.
10. NEVER attempt to rapidly turn on and off the ballast or attached components (bulb, reflector). Ballasts and components need to
cool down for approximately 15 minutes before they can be turned back on. Failure to do so can result in damaged components
and is not covered under warranty.
11. You should ALWAYS consult a certified electrician when setting up your lighting systems to ensure that you are not overloading
your circuits. Incorrectly wired systems and overloaded circuits can result in fires and serious injuries.
* 2 year warranty includes 1 year full and 1 year prorated - If a B-Lite ballasts fails within 1 year of the original purchase date DL Wholesale will
exchange or replace it with the current most comparable model. All exchanges and replacements can only be done through the original retailer from
which the ballast was purchased. If you are no longer able to contact the original retailer because they are no longer in business, you may contact DL
Wholesale directly. - Receipt is required
