We support connections to 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz
Wi-Fi networks that can be programmed with
multiple network configurations for devices in
more than one location.
Step 5
Select the menu icon
on the primary DNA
Payments Launcher
screen and choose
Wi-Fi Settings.
1
The Wi-Fi module will
default as disabled,
as shown by the off
message in the
header bar. To
enable Wi-Fi, press
the screen's slider on
the right-hand side.
2
9
Setting up Wi-Fi
We'll always treat Wi-Fi as the primary
connection type, where present, with the
cellular connection used as a backup.
To configure the Wi-Fi connection, follow the
below steps.
TIP
Wi-Fi and SIM configuration uses the underlying Android Operating System interface, so several of
the following screens may be familiar if you've used an Android device before. However, the screens
may differ in colour or other minor ways between Android versions. The underlying options are
always the same, though.

Setting up Wi-Fi (continued)
Step 5
The terminal will scan
for available
networks and will
display a list after a
moment.
3
Choose the network
required and enter
the password when
prompted.
When complete,
press Connect.
4
The connection
process will then
start.
5
After a moment, the
terminal will
complete the
connection using
DHCP and return to
the Wi-Fi menu
showing a status of
Connected against
the chosen network.
6
10

Step 5
Setting up Wi-Fi (continued)
Press the left arrow
at the bottom of the
screen to return to
the DNA Payments
Launcher.
7
11
NOTE
You can set up different Wi-Fi networks, and the terminal will remember them. It's beneficial if your
business operates in more than one location or has several networks covering one site.

Step 6
Select the menu icon
on the main axept®
PRO Launcher screen
and choose Cellular
Settings.
1
The Cellular
Network Settings
menu will then load;
after it does, select
Access Point
Names.
2
12
Setting up your SIM
NOTE
SIM set-up is optional and only required if you've installed a SIM. You'll need your Access Point
Name (APN) settings for these steps, which your SIM provider can supply.
If you don't wish to set up your SIM, you can skip to the next section, Processing Sales.

Setting up your SIM (continued)
Step 6
The APN menu is then
displayed. To add a
new APN, click the +
button at the top of the
screen.
3
Set the configuration
items as per the
advice from your SIM
provider.
4
Once you've added
all the details, click
the back arrow
button to return to
the DNA Payments
Launcher.
5
13
CAUTION
If you're using our services with Epos,
please check with the Epos provider if
you should install a SIM. Some Epos
solutions require a Wi-Fi connection to
work correctly.

We need you to log in before you can process a
transaction. This feature provides additional
security, limiting some functions to users with
the correct permission. However, variable
permissions are not set up unless you've
specifically requested them.
Step 7
Press the Payments
button to load the
application.
1
After a moment, the
login screen will be
displayed.
Enter the User ID
and Password
supplied via email.
You can select Save
Credentials to store
login details, and
DNA Payments will
use them
automatically in
future.

14
Logging On and Processing Transactions
Your user ID and password will have been
emailed to you as part of your order. However,
you can contact us if you need to know them.
Logging On

Step 7
After a moment, the
primary DNA
Payments screen will
display, and you’re
now ready to process
your first transaction.
3
If the details entered
during the login are
incorrect, we'll
confirm using the
screen shown here
before returning to
the login screen to
re-try.
4
15
Logging On (continued)

Step 7
To speed
transactions up, we'll
default to starting a
Sale transaction - you
then need to enter
the amount.
1
Enter the amount of
the sale using the
onscreen keypad. We
automatically add the
decimal point for you.
Press the Next
button to continue.
2
16
Processing Sales
Chip and Pin
NOTE
The following flow assumes the card is 'captured' by inserting it and the terminal reading the chip.
Some features, such as Cashback, are NOT available when processing via Contactless.

Step 7
You can also set the
gratuity amount
manually by pressing
Other, entering the
amount and pressing
Accept.
5
You'll be prompted
for a Reference if this
is configured. You're
usually able to skip
this, but it depends
on the configuration
of your device. We
can arrange to
remove this prompt if
it's not required;
please contact us to
arrange this.
6
17
If Gratuity is
configured, it'll be
offered now as an
option. If you've no
Gratuity configured,
skip to Step 6 on this
page.
3
You can set the
gratuity amount with
the slider and press
accept. If no gratuity
is desired, set the
slider to 0% and
press Accept.
4
Chip and Pin (continued)

Step 7
We'll prompt for the
PIN to be entered.
9
Input the pin using the
touchscreen or keypad
and press Enter.
10
18
We'll prompt for the
card to be presented.
7
We'll read the card
for a few seconds.
IMPORTANT: Don't
remove the card
whilst it's being
read.
8
Chip and Pin (continued)

Step 7
We've printed the
cardholder receipt in
this example, but the
messages are the
same in each case.
You're prompted to
remove the first
receipt, which is the
Cardholder's.
Remember that
cardholders are
entitled to a receipt if
they request it. It's best
practice to maintain
this prompt.
.
13
Finally, we'll prompt
you to remove the
card if it's not already
been done.
14
19
Authorisation for the
payment amount is
completed, usually by
going online to check.
IMPORTANT: Don’t
remove the card whilst
this is being
completed.
11
The result of the
transaction is
displayed, and you
can choose to print
the cardholder
receipt or not.
Some receipt printing
can be disabled
automatically; please
contact us for more
information.
12
Chip and Pin (continued)

Step 7
You'll then be
returned to the Sale
screen, ready for the
next transaction.
15
20
Chip and Pin (continued)
TIP
A Card Issuer may ask for the cardholder to complete the payment by Chip and Pin instead of
Contactless, which is normal and designed to protect you from fraud by ensuring the Customer is
Authentic.
While Contactless is a quick payment, it still
needs to go online to check with the
Cardholder's Issuer. It would help if you did not
assume a Contactless transaction has been
authorised until we confirm this on screen and
your receipt.
