1. SAFETY PROCEDURES WHEN
WORKING WITH THE GRINDING
MACHINE
–Clean and light the workplace well.
Clutter and poor lighting can lead to
accidents.
–If you are not sure of your knowledge/
skills, do not work with the grinding
machine. Be sure to read the original
safety and operating instructions.
–Use the grinder only for its intended
purpose. The manufacturer bears no re-
sponsibility and warranty obligations if
the grinding machine was not used for
its intended purpose.
–Use personal protective equipment. Be
sure to wear safety glasses. Use protec-
tive screens and spark arresters. Wear
dust mask/respirator, non-slip safe-
ty shoes, protective apron and hearing
protection as necessary.
–Keep hair, clothing and jewelry away
from moving parts of the grinder. The
moving parts of the grinding machine
can catch loose clothing, jewelry, and
hair. Fasten all fastening elements of
work clothes.
–Do not work with the grinding machine
if you are tired or have used drugs, al-
cohol or medication the day before.
–The switch must be in the "Off" (O) posi-
tion before connecting the grinder to the
power source.
–Disconnect the grinder from the pow-
er source before preparation, during
maintenance, before changing grinding
wheelsandafternishingwork.
–Before switching on, remove unfas-
tened or unnecessary objects from the
grinding machine and from the work
area.
–The protective elements must be correct-
ly installed before working with the grind-
ing machine.
–Be sure to install protective elements
after maintenance.
–Before working with the grinding ma-
chine, check whether the protective el-
ements and other parts are not dam-
aged and are correctly installed. Check
that the moving parts of the grinder are
not jammed and that they are not dam-
aged. Replace damaged parts.
–Theooraroundthegrindingmachine
must be clean of grease and other ma-
terials.
–Remove sanding dust from the grinder
and work area.
–Do not allow children and strangers to
enter the work area of the grinding ma-
chine.
–Maintain stability and balance while
working. Do not lean on the grinder.
–Do not apply excessive force when
working with the grinder. Due to exces-
sive pressure, grinding wheels may lose
speed.
–When the grinder is left unattended, al-
ways turn off the grinder and wait for
the grinding wheels to come to a com-
plete stop.
–Do not use the grinder in an explosive
environment, near ammable liquids,
gases or dust.
–Do not expose the grinder to rain or
moisture.
–Use only undamaged power cords.
Damaged power cords increase the risk
of electric shock.
–Securely press the workpiece to the
working stop. It is dangerous to pro-
cess workpieces without using work-
ing stops.
–Do not overtighten the grinding wheel
nuts.

4. INTENDED PURPOSE AND
APPEARANCE
Intended purpose
A grinding machine (hereinafter referred
to as the machine) is intended for grind-
ing, removing dents/burrs and sharp
edges on metals, grinding metal surfaces
with the help of grinding wheels.

6. PREPARATION FOR WORK
WARNING!
Unplug the machine before prepara-
tion, during maintenance and after n-
ishing work.
Unpack and inspect the machine and ac-
cessories. Check the machine for damag-
es during transportation.
WARNING!
Make sure there is no condensate on
the machine. It is forbidden to pre-
pare the machine for work and use it
until the condensate has completely
dried. Condensate can form due to
temperature changes.
Fastening the machine to the work
surface
Beforestartingthework,xthemachine
on the work surface so that it does not
move away from its place during work:
–make a mark on the work surface accord-
ing to the mounting holes (9) of the ma-
chine (Fig. 1);
–according to the marking, drill holes in
the work surface;
–align the mounting holes with the holes
on the work surface;
–x the machine on the work surface
with bolts and nuts (not included in the
scope of supply).
Installation of spark arresters and
protective screens (Fig. 2)
WARNING!
Do not operate the machine without
installed spark arresters and protec-
tive screens.
–Attach the protective screens (2) to the
spark arrestors (4) with screws (1).
–Adjust the height of the spark arrestors
with the screws (3).
–The gap between the grinding wheels
and spark arrestors should be 2 mm
maximum.
–Adjust the protective screens so that
the face is protected as much as pos-
sible.

–Turn the switch to the Off (O) position
to turn off the machine. Wait for the
grinding wheels to come to a complete
stop.
Work with the machine
Do not exert excessive force when work-
ing with the machine. Due to excessive ef-
forts, the engine overheats and the grind-
ing wheels wear out prematurely.
When sharpening different tools, follow
the initial sharpening angle.
Grinding wheels must rotate towards the
parts being sharpened.
When processing a narrow part, move
it left and right across the width of the
grinding wheel.
When sharpening a large part, install it on
an additional support.
Regularly cool the part in a water contain-
er. If the part is overheated, the harden-
ing of the metal may weaken. Do not wet
the grinding wheels with water.
If the part is jammed, immediately turn off
and unplug the machine. Remove the part
from the protective casing.
Do not process the part with the side of
the grinding wheels.
Replacement of the grinding wheel
WARNING!
The right-hand spindle has a right-
hand thread, the left-hand spindle
has a left-hand thread.
The speed of rotation of the grind-
ing wheel should not be lower than
the speed of rotation of the machine
–Unscrew the screws securing the pro-
tective casing (1) with a screwdriver
and a wrench 8 (Fig. 5).
–Remove the protective casing.
–Unscrew the nut (1) with a wrench 19
(Fig. 6).
–Remove the outer ange (2) and the
grinding wheel (3).
–Install a new grinding wheel on the in-
nerange(4)onthespindle(5).
–Installtheouterange(2)withthecon-
cave side facing the grinding wheel.
–Tighten the nut (1) with the wrench 19.
–Tighten the screws (1) to secure the
protective screens.
Remove and adjust spark arresters (4),
protective screens (2) only after turning
off the machine and completely stopping
the grinding wheels.
Adjusting the working stop
For the BG-12X and BG-15X models
(Fig. 3)
–Unscrew the ram lock (2).
–Adjust the wing stop (1).
–Tighten the ram lock.
For the BG-20X and BG-20LX models
(Fig. 4)
–Unscrew the two bolts (2).
–Adjust the wing stop (1).
–Tighten the two bolts.
7. WORKING WITH THE MACHINE
WARNING!
Work with the machine at ambient
temperatures from -15 °C to +45 °C.
After every 30 minutes of operation,
turn off the machine to let it cool
down.
Initial test
–Before starting the machine, check that
there is nothing preventing the grinding
wheels from rotating freely. To do this,
rotate the grinding wheels by hand.
–The working stops and spark arrestors
must not touch the grinding wheels.
–Turn on the machine.
–Wait for the machine to reach full speed
before starting work.
–If necessary, shut down the machine and
adjust the work stops/spark arresters.
Turning on/off
WARNING!
Before plugging the machine into
the outlet, make sure the switch is
in the "Off" (O) position.
–Turn the switch to the On position (I) to
turn on the machine. Wait for the ma-
chine to reach full speed before start-
ing work.

–Install the protective casing.
–Tighten the screws securing the pro-
tective casing (1) with a screwdriver
andwrench8toxtheprotectivecas-
ing (Fig. 5).
–Repeat these steps for the other grind-
ing wheel.
–Adjust the position of working stops,
spark arresters and protective screens.
–Turn on the machine. Let it work for
about a minute at idle speed.
–To replace the grinding wheel, you will
need tools that are not included in the
scope of supply:
–wrench 19,
–wrench 8,
–screwdriver.
8. MAINTENANCE
Unless otherwise expressly provided for
in this manual, the product must be ser-
viced only by the manufacturer (DNIPRO
M LLC), the DNIPRO-M authorised service
centre or the seller of the product.
Wipe the body of the machine regular-
ly with a soft cloth, preferably after each
use.
It is forbidden to use solvents that can
damage the plastic parts of the machine.
Gasoline, water-ammonia solution, etc.
can cause damage.
Moisture should not get into the holes of
the machine body.
The warranty for the machine shall be
canceled in case of unauthorized inter-
vention in the internal structure. Tamper-
ing with it may result in electric shock
and injury.
9. STORAGE AND
TRANSPORTATION
Store the machine in a dry place inacces-
sible to children with a relative humidity
of less than 80%. It is necessary to protect
the machine from direct sunlight. Store at
a temperature from -20 °C to +50 °C.
Before storing, make sure that there is no
condensate on the machine. Condensate
can form due to temperature changes.
Keep the machine, accessories and the
original safety and operating instructions
in the packaging. In this case, the neces-
sary information and components will al-
ways be available.
Transport the machine in its packaging to
avoid damage.
10. DISPOSAL
Do not dispose of the machine toge-
ther with household waste! If the ma-
chine is unusable, recycle it. The ma-
chine shall be recycled in accordance
with environmental legislation.
