Personal protective
equipment
•Dress Properly. The clothing
worn should be functional
and appropriate, i.e. it should
be tight-tting but not cause
hindrance. Do not wear either
jewelry or clothing which
could become entangled in to
machine. Wear protecting hair
coveringtocontainlonghair.
•Alwayswearearprotectionsto
avoidhearingloss.
•Wear protective glasses or
goggles to protect eyes from
yingobjectsanddebris.
•Wear protective gloves to
preventinjurytongers.
•Wear dust mask to reduce the
riskofinjury.
•When using the machine,
always wear sturdy shoes with
a non-slip sole. This protects
against injuries and ensures a
goodfooting.
•While operating the machine,
always wear substantial
footwear and long trousers.
Do not operate the machine
whenbarefootorwearingopen
sandals.
Work area safety
•Keep children and bystanders,
including animals, away while
operatingthemachine.

•Check the work area whether
there are no stones, wires,
glass, or other foreign objects.
Foreign object may be caught
up or ung by the machine,
resultindamageorinjury.
•Operate the machine under
good visibility and daylight
conditionsonly.Donotoperate
themachineindarknessorfog.
•Do not operate machine in
explosive atmospheres, such
asinthepresenceofammable
liquids, gases or dust. The
machine creates sparks which
mayignitethedustorfumes.
•Do not expose the machine to
rain or wet conditions. Water
entering the machine may
increase the risk of electric
shock.
Starting up the machine
•Before connect the plug or
switchonthemachine:
– Checktheplugandcordand
conrm that they are good
condition.
– Check all the screws, nuts
and other fasteners are
properlysecured.
– Check cutting tools are in
place and good working
condition.
– Check guards and safe
devices, such as deectors
or grass catcher, function
well.
– Checktheairventsarenot
covered by dust or other
foreign materials. Clean
them with a soft brush or
clothiftheyareblocked.
– Replace damaged or
unreadablelabels.
– Check all the parts of
the machine carefully to
determine if it operates
properly and performs
its intended function.
Especially, never use the
machine if the switch does
notworknormally.
– Make sure the switch is off
sidetopreventunintentional
start.
– Check all tools for
maintenance, such as
adjustingwrenchorspanner
areremoved.
•If the supply cord is damaged,
ask Dolmar authorized service
centertoreplaceit,alwaysuse
genuinereplacementparts.
•Neverusethemachineifsafety
device,suchasdeectorguard
orgrasscatcher,isdamagedor
missing.
•Whenturningonthemotor:
– Keep your feet away from
thecuttingtools.
– Donottiltthemachine.
– Donotstandinfrontofthe
dischargeopening.

Electrical safety
•Check the connector plug on
themachinetsintothesocket
beforeuse.
•Never modify the connector
plug.
•Do not abuse the cord. Never
usethecordforcarrying,pulling
or unplugging the machine.
Keepcordawayfromheat,oil,
sharp edges or moving parts.
Damaged or entangled cords
increase the risk of electric
shock.
•Check the extension cable
regularly for damage to the
insulation.Replaceitifdamaged.
•If the connecting cable is
damaged, withdraw the mains
plug immediately. A damaged
cable may cause contact with
livepartsandelectricshock.
Sodonottouchthecordbefore
disconnectingthesupply.Donot
use the machine of which the
cordisdamagedorworn.
•Neverusedamagedcord.
•Keep the cord and extension
cable away from cutting tools
and wheels. Cutting tools may
damage the cable and cause
electricshock.
•When using the machine
outdoors,alwaysusearesidual
current-operated circuit-breaker
(RCD)withanoperatingcurrent
of30mAorless.
•Use only extension cable for
outdoorusewithsplash-proofed
connector. Its cross-section
must be at least 1.5mm2 for
cable lengths up to 25m, and
2.5mm2forcablelengthsover
25m.
•The machine should be
connected only to a power
supply of the same voltage as
indicatedonthenameplate,and
canonlybeoperatedonsingle-
phase AC supply. They are
double-insulated in accordance
with European Standard and
can, therefore, also be used
fromsocketswithoutearthwire.
•Avoidbodycontactwithearthed
orgroundedsurfaces(e.g.pipes,
radiators,ranges,refrigerators).
Operation
•Avoid operating on wet grass.
Take particular attention when
workingonwetgrasstoprevent
slipping.
•Holdthehandlermlywithboth
hands during operation. Keep
the handle dry and clean to
preventaccidents.
•Do not run. Only walk during
operation.

Maintenance instructions
•Haveyourmachineservicedby
our authorized service center,
always using only genuine
replacement parts. Incorrect
repair and poor maintenance
can shorten the life of the
machine and increase the risk
ofaccidents.
•Inspectthemachineonregular
base.
•Before servicing, inspection,
adjustment, storage, or to
change an accessory, take
followingsteps:
– Shutoffthepowersource
– Disconnect the machine
frompowersupply
– Make sure that all moving
parts have come to a
completestop
– Allowthemachinetocool.
•Inspect on the machine for
possibledamage:
– Whether safety devices
works properly for its
intendedfunction
– Whether all the moving
parts work smoothly and
adequately
– Whether all parts are not
damaged and properly
installed
– Checkthecuttingtoolforany
damage,wornorunbalance
– Check the grass catcher
regularlyforanydamageor
worn
– Checkallthenuts,boltsand
screwsaretight
– Replace or repair by our
authorized service center if
there are any damaged or
wornparts.
•Do not carry out maintenance
or repair work other than that
described in this instruction
manual.Anyotherworkmustbe
carriedoutbyDolmarauthorized
servicecenter.
•Only use original Dolmar
replacement parts and
accessories intended for your
machine.Otherwiseitmayresult
inpersonalinjuryordamageon
themachine.
•Storethemachineinadryroom.
Keepitoutofreachofchildren.
Never store the machine
outdoors.
Vibration
• People with poor circulation who are exposed to
excessive vibration may experience injury to blood
vessels or the nervous system. Vibration may cause
thefollowingsymptomstooccurinthengers,hands
or wrists: “Falling asleep” (numbness), tingling, pain,
stabbing sensation, alteration of skin color or of the
skin.Ifanyofthesesymptomsoccur,seeaphysician.
• Toreducetheriskof“whitengerdisease”,keepyour
hands warm during operation and well maintain the
equipmentandaccessories.

WARNING:
•This machine produces an
electromagnetic eld during
operation.Itisrecommendedthat
persons with medical implants
shouldconsulttheirdoctorsand
implant manufacturers before
using this machine. Otherwise
the electromagnetic eld may
affect medical implants and it
mayresultinseriousinjury.
ASSEMBLY
CAUTION:
•Alwaysbesurethatthemachine
is switched off and unplugged
beforecarryingoutanyworkon
thetool.
Assembling the handle bar (Fig. 2, 3, 4)
1)Insert the lower handle bar (6) into the support (7).
Alignthescrewholesonthem,andthenfastenthem
byascrew.Performthissteponbothsides.
2)Placethemiddlehandlebar(5)ontothelowerhandle
bar(6).Alignthescrewholes of those handles,and
then fasten them with the knob (4), spacer, and the
bolt.Performthissteponbothsides.
3)Placetheupperhandlebar(3)ontothemiddlehandle
bar (5). Fasten each side of the upper bar with the
knob(4),spacer,andthebolt.
4)Fastenthecordwiththeclips(12)ontothehandlebar.
Assembling the grass catcher
CAUTION:
•Do not operate the machine
withoutgrasscatcher.Otherwise
ejectedobjectmaycauseinjury.
•For rear discharge appliances
withexposedrearrollers,when
usedwithoutacatcher,fulleye
protectionshallbeworn.
NOTE:
• The performance of the machine reduces when the
grasscatcherisfull.Emptythegrasscatcheronregular
basisbeforeitbecomescompletelyfull.
Installingthegrasscatcher
Pullupthedeectorguard(10)andholdit.Inserthooks
onthegrasscatcherintothegroovesonthemachine.
Removingthegrasscatcher
Pullupthedeectorguard(10)andholdit.Removethe
grasscatcherby releasing thehooks from thegrooves
onthemachine.
Cord strain relief (Fig. 5)
Thecordstrainrelief(2)helpstopreventthecordfrom
entanglingintothebladeorwheel.
Makeasmallloopattheendofthemainscord,andpass
itthroughtheopeningofthecordstrainrelief,andthen
hangitonthehook.
Always take the position of the cord into consideration
duringoperation. Startyouroperation fromthenearest
point to the power supply to prevent the cord from
accidentallycut.Itisrecommendedkeepingthecordover
yourshoulderduringtheoperation.

Removing or installing cutting tool
CAUTION:
•Wearprotectivegloves.
•Pay particular attention when
handling cutting tool. It is very
sharp and may become hot
duringoperation.
•Always use appropriate cutting
tool in accordance with your
operation.
•Before operation, make sure
twobolts,whichholdthecutting
tool onto the machine, are
rmlytightened.Donotusethe
machineifitislooseormissing.
If it is damaged, replace it
immediately.
Removing cutting tool
1)Removethegrasscatcher(11).
2)Removethehandlefromthemachine.
3)Placethemachineupsidedownonaatsurface.
4)Loosenthetwo bolts (16).Removethemandspring
washers.
5)Liftthebearingpartofthecuttingtool(17),andthen
pullthecuttingtool(15)outfromthedriveshaft(18).
Installing the cutting tool
1)Insertthecuttingtoolbyslidingitshexnutpartintothe
socketofdrivingshaft.
2)Fasten the bearing part tothe machineby thebolts
andspringwashers.
FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION
WARNING:
•Before plugging the machine,
always make sure that the
machineisswitchedoff.Plugging
themachinewiththeswitchon
maycauseanunexpectedstart
resulting in serious personal
injury.
•Neverusethemachineifpower
cableisdamaged.Otherwiseit
maycauseelectricshock.
•Do not use the machine if the
switch does not turn it on and
off. Have defective switches
replaced by Dolmar authorized
servicecenter.
Start/stop lever
Tostartthemachine,pressandholdthelock-offbutton
(13),andthenfullypullthestart/stoplever(14)andhold
it.Oncepulling the start/stop lever,youdonotneedto
holdthelock-offbutton.
Tostopthemachine,simplyreleasethestart/stoplever.
While the machine is working, the lock-off button (13)
doesnotworkevenifyoupressit(13)carelessly.
Height adjustment
Dependingontheconditionofthegrass,adjusttheheight
ofthecuttingtool.
Refer to the table below as rough indication for depth

Changing the height
Push in the height adjustment lever (9) towards wheel
axisside,andmoveitupwardsordownwards.
Overload protection
Thismachineisequippedwithoverloadprotection,andit
functionsunderthefollowingsituations:
• The cutting tool becomes clogged because scaried
materialsarebuiltuparoundit.
• Themachine istrying toscarify morethanthe motor
canhandle.
• Somethinghinderstherotationofthecuttingtool.
Whenthisprotectionworks,themachineisswitchedoff
automatically.

Ifithappens,unplugthemachine,waituntilitcoolsdown,
andremovethecauseoftheoverloadbeforerestarting
themachine.
OPERATION
OperationTips:
• Cutyourgrassbeforeoperationandfertilizeafterthe
operation.
• Adjustthedepthofthecuttingtoolinaccordancewith
theheightofthegrassandweather.
• Avoidoperatingonwet grass.Ittendstostickonthe
dischargeportandotherpartsofthemachine.Itmay
alsocauseslipandfall.
• Do not move too fast. Push the machine slowly.
Otherwisedischargeportmaybecomecloggedandthe
motormayoverloaded.
• Operatealongalineasstraightaspossible.
• Makeslightlyoverlappingscariedlines.Itwillmaintain
evenandsmoothsurface.
• Whena owerbed isincluded intheoperating area,
makeacircleortwoaroundtheowerbed.
• Beespeciallycarefulwhenturningthemachine.
• Donotstayinoneposition.Itdamagesthegrass.
Tipsforscarifying:
• Always take the weather into account. Warm, sunny
and wet weather is good for scarifying because the
lawn can recover healthily. On the other hand, avoid
cold,heat,dryweather.
• Duringspringseasonscarifythelawn.
• Ifsummeriswet,scarifythelawninearlyautumn.
• Refrainfromscarifyingduringperiodofextremelyhot
weather.
• Ifsummerisverydry,donotscarifyinautumn.
Tipsforraking:
• Plentyamountofairisneededfortheareaaroundthe
rootsofthelawninordertomaintainhealthygrowthin
springseason.
• Itisrecommendedperformingaerationoperationonthe
lawnevery4–6weeksinaccordancewiththestateof
thelawn.
MAINTENANCE
CAUTION:
•Alwaysbesurethatthemachine
is switched off and unplugged
beforeperforminginspectionor
maintenance.
•Wear protective gloves before
performing inspection or
maintenance.
•The cutter does not stop
immediatelyafterswitchoff.Wait
until all the parts stop before
performing any maintenance
work.
•Makesurethatallthetoolsare
removed after maintenance
work.
•Never use gasoline, benzine,
thinner, alcohol or the like
for cleaning. Discoloration,
deformation or cracks may
result. To clean the machine,
use only moist cloth and soft
brush.
•Donothoseorcleanthemachine
withhighpressuredwater.
When transporting the machine, pay attention to the
followingpoints:
• Switchoffthemotor,unplugandwaituntilthecutting
toolstops.
• Adjust the depth of the cutting tool to transportation
height.
• Alwaystransportthemachinebyitshandle.
• Avoidheavyimpactorstrongvibration.
• Secure the machine rmly in case it is embarked on
vehicles.
Performthefollowingstepsaftereachoperation:
• Switchoffthemotor,unplugandwaituntilthecutting
toolstops.
• Cleanthegrasscatcher.Storeitinadryroom.
• Check,cleanandstorethemachineinadryroom.
Performthefollowingworkatregularbasis:
• Check all the clamps, such as screws, nuts etc. are
tightlyfasten.
• Check for defects such as loose, worn, or damaged
parts.Replacethemifnecessary.
• Checkthatthecoversandguardsarenotdamagedor
deformed.
• If the machine starts vibrating abnormally during
operation, that may be caused by unbalanced or
deformed cutting tool due to the impacts by foreign
objects.Havethecuttingtoolrepairedorreplacedby
authorizedservicecenterifithappens.
• Thecuttingtooliswornoutduringthecourseoftime.
Checktheconditionofthecuttingtoolanditsstability
onregularbasis.Replaceitifitiswornorbecomeblunt.
• Cleanandlubricateallscrewpartsbeforestorage.

TROUBLESHOOTING
WARNING:Beforesolvingtroubles,switchoffthemachine,pullout

Démarrage de la machine

– Remplacez les étiquettes
abîméesouillisibles.
– Vériez soigneusement
