This quick start guide is intended to help with
setting up the Mitos Automated Product
Collector in a short period of time for efcient
system assembly.
Please refer to the full Mitos Automated Prod-
uct Collector User Guide for detailed instruc-
tions, information on the components and
further information on using the Collector.

Connect the valve communications

Secure the 3-WAY Valve to the
bracket of the X-Y arm on the collec-
tor. Using a Phillips head screwdriver,
tighten the 2 screws of the valve to the
bracket (Figure 1).

• Ensure that there is an appropriate
container to collect the waste
material.
• Connect the Power Supply cable to
the rear of the unit (Figure 4).

Congure the 3-Way Valve on the
X-Y arm of the Automated Product
Collector - Fluidic Inlet (from chip/
system), Waste Outlet and Collection
(to vial) tubing should be connected
(Figure 3). The supplied calibrated
tubing pack will have labelled tubing
for these locations.

Insert the appropriate Rack (Figure
5) into the Automated Collector Sam-
ple Tray (smaller racks may require a
rack adaptor).

Enter the Rack Code into the Collector
via the touchpad and screen (Figure
6). Press the “Rack” key, enter the
rack number (e.g., Code 24) and press
“Ok”. The rack code on the unit will
determine the available vial locations
when running the software.

• Connect the Serial (RS232) Cable
to USB from the unit to the PC.
• Open the Flow Control Center
Software (Figure 7).
• Congure the location of the X-Y
arm over a specic vial and
control the valve state to either
“Collect” into the vial, or “Drain”
into a waste container.
