Dometic AC/DC Wandler dürfen nur zur
Versorgung von 12V-Geräten in bewohnbaren
Freizeitfahrzeugen (Caravan, Reisemobil, Boot
etc.) eingesetzt werden. Die Eingangsspan-
nung kommt dabei entweder von der
230V-Wechselstromnetzversorgung oder
einer 12V-Gleichstromquelle, wobei die
230V-Wechselspannung Vorrang hat.

1.0 Allgemeines

Sicherheitshinweise. Die Einhaltung der
Hinweise und Handlungsanweisungen ist
wichtig für den sicheren Umgang mit Ihrem
AC/DC-Wandler und schützt Sie und den
AC/DC-Wandler vor Schäden. Das Gelesene

Maßnahme durchführen.

Dometic AC/DC-Wandler oder an der vom
Fahrzeughersteller ausgeführten Installa-

Bereichen eingesetzt werden, in denen
Gas-oder Staubexplosionsgefahr besteht.

Der Dometic AC/DC-Wandler darf
weder abgedeckt noch Umgebungs-
bedingungen ausgesetzt sein, die die
Belüftung der Einheit beeinträchtigen.
Decken Sie den AC/DC Wandler nicht
mit Kleidungsstücken ab, da dies die
Funktion des Gerätes stören kann .

3.1 Einbau
3.0 Einbau des
Schaltnetzteils
Der optimale Einbau des Netzteils ist in verti-
kaler Position (Abb.1). Die maximale
Umgebungstemperatur darf 50 °C betragen.
Installieren Sie das Schaltnetzteil an einer
gut belüfteten und vor Feuchtigkeit
geschützten Stelle. Um eine optimale
Wärmeableitung zu erreichen, sollte das
Gerät vertikal montiert werden.
Halten Sie bei der Installation die angege-
benen Abstände ein.
Das Schaltnetzteil kann nur mit sinusförmi-
ger Netzspannung ( 230 VAC ) betrieben
werden. Liefert ein Generator diese
Spannung, muss ein Überspannungs-
schutz dem Netzteil vorgeschaltet werden.
Bei dauerhafter Überlastung durch die
Abnahme einer zu hohen Leistung oder bei
Überschreitung der max. Umgebungstem-
peratur regelt das Gerät seine Ausgangs-
leistungsleistung automatisch herunter, so
dass die Betriebstemperatur des Netzteils
nicht überschritten wird..
3.1.1 Vertikaler Einbau
Dometic AC/DC-Wandler werden vom
Fahrzeughersteller fest eingebaut und
angeschlossen. Es ist unzulässig, Kabel
an die Einheit anzuschließen bzw. von die-
ser zu entfernen oder die Installation
anderweitig zu modifizieren.

Netzteils einhalten.
3.1.2 Horizontaler Einbau
Alternativ kann der AC / DC Wandler auch
horizontal eingebaut werden (Abb. 3)
Hierbei ist darauf zu achten, dass die
Umgebungstemperatur max. 40 °C beträgt
und das Gerät bei max. 75 % Last betrieben
wird. Die Installation ist so zu gestalten, dass
bei der späteren Benutzung des Installations-
raums keine Gegenstände direkt auf das Gerät
gelegt werden können, die eine Luftzirkulation
behindern.

Bei der Installation ist unbedingt darauf zu
achten, dass die an den einzelnen
Sicherungen abgenommene Leistung max. 75
% des Nennwertes der jeweiligen Sicherung
betragen darf. Höhere Leistungen können auf-
grund des höheren Stromes zu Überhitzung
und zu einer Beschädigung führen.

Mit der Positionierung der Sicherungen wer-
den herstellerspezifische Funktionen konfig-
guriert. Achten Sie bei einem Wechsel einer
Sicherung darauf, dass Sie diese wieder in
gleicher Position einsetzen. Eine Änderung
der Konfiguration kann Fehlfunktionen zur
Folge haben.
3.2 Sicherungen i
Die Sicherungen befinden sich unter der
unteren Abdeckung.
Entfernen Sie zum Austausch der
Sicherung die Abdeckung (2). Drücken Sie
dazu die beiden Laschen (3) in Pfeilrichtung
und heben Sie die Abdeckung an.
3.2.1 Entnahme der Sicherungen
Eine Änderung der Konfiguration kann
ungewollte Fehlfunktionen zur Folge
haben!

Dometic AC/DC converters may only be used
to supply 12V devices in habitable recreational
vehicles (caravan, motorhome, boat etc.). The
input voltage comes either from the 230 V
AC mains power supply or from a 12 V DC
source whereby the 230 V AC has priority.

These instructions provide you with the
necessary guidance for the correct installation
of the AC/DC converter. Particularly observe

instructions and handling recommendations is

safely and for protecting you from injury and the
appliance from damage. You must understand

normal conditions applicable for the country
concerned. Any malfunction due to improper
use is not covered by the warranty.

verter must be familiar with the safe handling
and understand the instructions in this
installation manual.
Non-observance of the following safety
instructions can result in serious damage to
the Dometic AC/DC converter and adjacent

3.1 Installation
3.0 Installation of the
switching power supply
The optimum installation of the power supply
is in the vertical position (Fig. 1). The maxi-
mum permitted ambient temperature is 50 °C.
Install the switching power supply in a
place that is well ventilated and protected
against moisture. In order to achieve
optimum heat removal, the device should
be mounted vertically.
Comply with the stated clearances for the
installation.
The switching power supply can only be
operated with sinusoidal mains voltage
(230 V AC). If a generator provides this volt-
age, surge voltage protection must be
installed upstream of the power supply.
In the case of continuous overload due to
take-off of too high power or in the case of
exceeding the maximum ambient tempera-
ture, the unit automatically reduces its out-
put power so that the operating tempera-
ture of the power supply is not exceeded.
3.1.1 Vertical Installation
Dometic AC/DC converters are perma-
nently installed and connected by the
vehicle manufacturer. It is not permitted
to connect cables to the unit or remove
them from it or to modify the installation
in any other way.

3.1.2 Horizontal Installation
Alternatively, the AC/DC converter can also be
installed horizontally (Fig. 3).
It must be ensured here that the ambient tem-
perature is max. 40 °C and the unit is operated
at max. 75% load. The installation must be
designed so that in the case of later use of the
installation space no objects can be placed on
the unit which hinder air circulation.

Installation
It must be strictly ensured during the installa-
tion that the power taken off at the individual
fuses is maximum 75% of the rated value of
the respective fuse. Higher outputs can result
in overheating and damage due to the higher
current.

Manufacturer-specific functions are configured
with the positioning of the fuses. When
replacing a fuse, ensure that you insert the new
one in the same position. Modification of the
configuration can result in malfunctions.
3.2 Fuses i
The fuses are located under the bottom
cover.
Remove the cover (2) to replace the fuse.
For this, press the two tabs (3) in the
direction of the arrow and raise the cover.
