We are conv nced that you w ll be sat sf ed w th your new appl ance n every
way. S lent n operat on, the appl ance fulf ls h gh qual ty standards and guaran-
tees an eff c ent use of resources and energy dur ng ts ent re work ng l fe, .e.
dur ng manufactur ng, use and d sposal.
Please study the nstallat on and operat ng nstruct ons carefully before
attempt ng to operate the refr gerator.
FOR YOUR SAFETY
Wa nings and Safety Advice
In the inte ests of child en's safety:
When d spos ng of the refr gerator, remove all doors and leave the
shelves ns de. Th s prevents ch ldren from be ng acc dentally trapped or
suffocated n the refr gerator.
Never open the cool ng un t - t s under h gh pressure.
Never store explos ve substances, such as l ghter fuel, petrol, ether or
s m lar products n the refr gerator.
The refr gerator s not su table for the proper storage of med cat ons.
The appl ance must be nstalled n such a way that acc dental contact w th
the cool ng un t (wh ch heats up when n use) s mposs ble.
The appl ance has to be connected to a properly earthed socket n l ne
w th the relevant val d country regulat ons.
Serv c ng must only be carr ed out by author sed serv ce personnel.
Coolants
Ammon a s used as a coolant.
Th s s a natural compound also used n household clean ng agents (1 l tre of
Salm ak cleaner conta ns up to 200g of ammon a - about tw ce as much as s
used n the refr gerator). Sod um chromate s used for corros on protect on (less
than 2% of the coolant).
If a leak occurs (wh ch can be eas ly detected due to the unpleasant smell):
Sw tch the dev ce off (pull ma ns plug, f appl cable);
Vent late room thoroughly.
Inform hotel personnel.
For the safety of hotel guests and personnel, t has been establ shed by
nspectors that the coolant poses no threat to health.
WARRANTY AND CUSTOMER SERVICE
Warranty arrangements are n accordance w th EC D rect ve 44/1999/CE and the
normal cond t ons appl cable for the country concerned. For warranty or serv ce,
please contact our customer serv ces sect on. Spares can be obta ned all over
Europe from our relevant customer serv ce po nts.
When contact ng customer serv ce, please always state model, product,
MLC-Code and ser al number! You can f nd th s nformat on on the model
label ns de the dev ce.

INSTALLATION
Unpacking
Check dur ng unpack ng that the dev ce s defect-free.
Report transport damage to the transport company w th n 48 hours.
Check that the voltage noted on the model label corresponds to the
ma ns voltage.
Cleaning
Before operat ng the refr gerator, we recommend you clean t both ns de
and outs de.
Use a soft cloth, lukewarm water and a m ld detergent.
Follow ng th s, wash out the refr gerator us ng clean water and dry
thoroughly.
At annual ntervals, remove dust from fr dge aggregate us ng a brush or
soft cloth.
WWAARRNNIINNGG::
To prevent mater al damage:
Do not use soap or detergents wh ch are harsh, coarse or
wh ch conta n soda.
Keep the door seal free from o l and grease.
The cyl nder locks have been lubr cated n the factory to be long-last ng.
Installation
The RH303L has been espec ally des gend for freestand ng or for
nstallat on n k tchens.
Please take great care to observe the follow ng po nts n order to
guarantee an opt mal cool ng performance and low energy consumpt on:
Do not place the refr gerator d rectly bes de a heat source and do not
expose t to d rect sunl ght.
An unobstructed a r c rculat on through the cool ng aggregate must be
ensured.
The vent lat on gr d must not be covered, for example, by ornaments or
tems of cloth ng.
The refr gerator must always be mounted
hor zontally.
The follow ng llustrat ons (A,B,C,D) show four d fferent ways for nstall ng
the refr gerator.

Note: The vent lat on gr ds (1) must have a clear cross sect on of at
least 200cm2.

Connecting the Device to the Elect icity Supply
The dev ce must be connected to a properly earthed socket n l ne
w th the relevant val d country regulat ons.
Check pr or to n t al operat on that the voltage noted on the model label
corresponds to the ma ns voltage.
If th s s not the case, do not connect the dev ce and contact your dealer!
Changing the Doo hang
1. Remove the lower h nge p n.
2. Take off the door by mov ng t upwards.
3. Unscrew the upper h nge p n and mount t on the oppos te s de h nge.
4. F t the door on the upper h nge p n and mount the lower h nge p n.
5. Check that the door closes properly and seals all round.
6. If the door handle s mount, f x the door handle of the oppos de s de
Changing the Deco Panel
The door panel can eas ly be mounted or changed. The d mens ons of the panel
must be:
H ght 724,0 mm
W dth 492,5 mm
Th cknes max. 3,2 mm
1. Remove the door, see Changing the Doo hang.
2. Unscrew the door str p and then w thdraw the panel by sl d ng t downwards.
3. F t the new panel n place and sl de t up as far as poss ble.
4. F t the door str p back n place.

Ice Making
F ll the ce tray to just below the br m w th dr nk ng water and place t on the
freezer shelf. For a qu ck  ce mak ng turn the thermostat control button to a
h gher pos t on e.g. 7. After f n sh ng the ce cubes turn the control button
back n normally pos t on.

INSTRUCTION FOR USE
Regulating the Tempe atu e
The refr gerator s f tted w th an thermostat
control. The thermostat control button s
s tuated n the nternal conta ners rear
area.
Normally set the thermostat control button
to pos t on 3-5.
The ef ige ato ope ates silently !
Turn ng the thermostat control button to a h gher pos t on e.g. 6 , causes
a colder temperature n the cool ng compartment.
On position 0 the ef ige ato is switched off!

Def osting
Frost w ll gradually accumulate on the refr gerat ng surfaces. It must not be
allowed to grow too th ck as t acts as an nsulator and adversely affects
refr geratoor performance. Check the format on of frost regulary every week
and when tgets about 3mm th ck, defrost the refr gerator.
Turn the refr gerator off (Thermostat control button 0), remove the ce tray
and all food tems. Keep the refr gerator door opened.
Do not t y to accele ate def osting by using any kind of heating
appliance, as this might damage the plastic su faces of the
ef ige ato . Neithe should any sha p objects be used to sc ape
off the ice.
The defrost water runs from a collector channel to a receptacle at the rear
of the refr gerator where t evaporates
When the ce has melted, w pe the refr gerator dry and restart t.

Tu ning off the Ref ige ato
If the refr gerator s not be used for some t me:
1. Set the thermostat control button to 0
2. Pull out the ma ns plug
Empty the refr gerator. Defrost and clean t as descr bed earl er. Leave the
doors of the refr gerator and the frozen food compartment ajar.

Envi omental Advice
Refr gerators manufactured by Domet c GmbH are free from
CFCs and fluor nated hydrocarbons.
The cool ng un t uses ammon a as the coolant (a natural compound of
hydrogen and n trogen). Cyclopentane, wh ch does not damage the ozone
layer, s used as propellant for the nsulat on made from PU-foam.
Disposal
In order to ensure the re-use of recyclable packag ng mater als, these must
be d sposed of us ng local collect on systems. The dev ce tself must be
handed over to a d sposal company or local counc l wh ch w ll guarantee
the correct use of recyclable mater als and the proper d sposal of the rest.
Ene gy Saving Tips
At an average room temperature of approx. 22°C, t s suff c ent to
operate the refr gerator w th an average thermostat sett ng.
If poss ble, always store pre-cooled goods.
Do not expose the refr gerator to d rect sunl ght and do not place t
close to a source of heat.
An unobstructed a r c rculat on n the fr dge aggregate must be
ensured.
When remov ng goods, only open the refr gerator br efly.
