The electrical installation and setup of the device must be performed by a qual-
ified electrician who has demonstrated skill and knowledge related to the con-
struction and operation of electrical equipment and installations, and who is
familiar with the applicable regulations of the country in which the equipment
is to be installed and/or used, and has received safety training to identify and
avoid the hazards involved.

5Intendeduse
The mains priority switch is intended for distributing power supply in recreational vehicles (RV) with
two available voltage supplies.
The mains priority switch can be used according to the specified protection type after proper
installation and cable routing with suitable cable diameters and external strain relief. The device is
not suitable for outdoor use.
This product is only suitable for the intended purpose and application in accordance with these
instructions.
This manual provides information that is necessary for proper installation and/or operation of the
product. Poor installation and/or improper operating or maintenance will result in unsatisfactory
performance and a possible failure.
The manufacturer accepts no liability for any injury or damage to the product resulting from:
• Incorrect assembly or connection, including excess voltage
• Incorrect maintenance or use of spare parts other than original spare parts provided by the man-
ufacturer
• Alterations to the product without express permission from the manufacturer
• Use for purposes other than those described in this manual
Dometic reserves the right to change product appearance and product specifications.
6 Technical description
If a mains voltage and voltage generated by the inverter (RV house battery) are both connected to
the device, the use of the mains voltage has priority (fig. 1, page 3). If only voltage generated by
the inverter is available, the power supply from the battery is used (fig. 2, page 4). This ensures
that the limited power of the battery is only used when necessary.

7 Installation
7.1 Choosing a location
Install the device in a clean area inside the RV where it is protected against vibrations, explosive
materials, moisture, heat, and pollution.
7.2 Installation procedure

➤Connect the cables according to the wiring diagram (fig. 3, page 5).
Connect the cables through the existing rubber sleeves, protected outside against tensile
loads and vibration. The diameters of the cables must correspond to the diameter of the rub-
ber sleeves in order to comply with the IPrating.

The transfer switch will prioritize input AC1-IN (external mains input) prior to input AC2-IN (inverter).
➤Make sure that the inverter applied is equipped with a safety isolation (galvanic isolation)
between input (battery voltage) and AC output (230 VAC).
Connected cabling must have sufficient cross-section to avoid damage caused by overheating or
fire.
➤Check cables for damage after installation and secure against tensile stress with suitable
counter-measures.

Before any work on the 230 VAC wiring is performed, switch off all dangerous voltage.
Ensure that no accidental switching on or plugging in of mains voltage is possible.

Never put cables for 12 VDC voltage and 230 VAC voltage in the same cable duct.

Follow prescribed standards and guidelines depending on the installation situation.
The appropriate protective device must be used. When used with a residual-current
device (RCD), Nand PE must be short-circuited at the 230 V output of the inverter.

8 Operation
The device operates without any handling from the user. The device detects power input and
switches automatically as soon as a change of the input supply is detected. The monitoring auto-
matically detects whether the external 230 VAC mains voltage is available and supplies it directly
to the 230 V sockets. If the external 230 VAC mains voltage is not present, the unit shifts and the
interior sockets are supplied from the inverter.
9 Cleaning and maintenance
The device is maintenance-free.

The statutory warranty period applies. If the product is defective, please contact your retailer or the
manufacturer's branch in your country (see dometic.com/dealer).
For repair and warranty processing, please include the following documents when you send in the
product:
• A copy of the receipt with purchasing date
• A reason for the claim or description of the fault
Note that self-repair or nonprofessional repair can have safety consequences and might void the
warranty.
The electrical power supply must be connected by a qualified electrician who has
demonstrated skill and knowledge related to the construction and operation of
electrical equipment and installations and has received safety training to identify and
avoid the hazards involved.

If a fuse is broken, open the housing top cover and replace the defective
fuse with a fuse with the same rating (10 A, T 250 V).
If the problem appears directly after installation, make sure the wiring is
done according to the wiring diagram.

• Die Installation, die Montage und die Verkabelung sowie alle anderen Arbeiten dür-
fen nur durch einen qualifizierten Elektriker durchgeführt werden. Durch unsachge-
mäße Reparaturen können erhebliche Gefahren entstehen.

• Die Installation in explosionsgefährdeten Bereichen wie beispielsweise Räumen mit

5 Bestimmungsgemäßer Gebrauch
Der Netzvorrangschalter dient zur Verteilung der Stromversorgung in Freizeitfahrzeugen (RV) mit
zwei verfügbaren Spannungsversorgungen.
Der Netzvorrangschalter kann nach ordnungsgemäßer Installation und Kabelverlegung mit geeig-
neten Kabeldurchmessern und externer Zugentlastung entsprechend der angegebenen Schutz-
art verwendet werden. Das Gerät ist nicht für den Einsatz im Außenbereich geeignet.
Dieses Produkt ist nur für den angegebenen Verwendungszweck und die Anwendung gemäß die-
ser Anleitung geeignet.
Dieses Handbuch enthält Informationen, die für die ordnungsgemäße Installation und/oder den
ordnungsgemäßen Betrieb des Produkts erforderlich sind. Installationsfehler und/oder ein nicht
ordnungsgemäßer Betrieb oder eine nicht ordnungsgemäße Wartung haben eine unzureichende
Leistung und u. U. einen Ausfall des Geräts zur Folge.
Der Hersteller übernimmt keine Haftung für Verletzungen oder Schäden am Produkt, die durch

6 Technische Beschreibung
Wenn am Gerät eine Festnetz-Spannung und eine von einem Wechselrichter erzeugte Spannung
(Hausbatterie des Freizeitfahrzeugs) anliegt, wird vorrangig die Festnetz-Spannung genutzt
(Abb. 1, Seite 3). Wenn nur die vom Wechselrichter erzeugte Spannung verfügbar ist, wird die
Spannungsversorgung von der Batterie verwendet (Abb. 2, Seite 4). So wird sichergestellt, dass
die begrenzte Leistung der Batterie nicht unnötig verbraucht wird.

7 Installation
7.1 Standort auswählen
Installieren Sie das Gerät in einem sauberen Bereich im Wohnmobil, an dem es vor Vibrationen,
explosiven Materialien, Feuchtigkeit, Hitze und Verschmutzung geschützt ist.

7.2 Installationsverfahren

➤Schließen Sie die Kabel entsprechend dem Anschlussplan an (Abb. 3, Seite 5).
Schließen Sie die Kabel durch die vorhandenen Gummitüllen an, die außen vor Zugbelastun-
gen und Vibrationen geschützt sind. Die Kabeldurchmesser müssen dem Durchmesser der
Gummitüllen entsprechen, um der IP-Schutzklasse zu entsprechen.

Die Installation darf nur durch einen qualifizierten Elektriker durchgeführt werden.

Schalten Sie vor allen Arbeiten an der 230-V-Wechselstromverkabelung alle gefährli-
chen Spannungen ab. Stellen Sie sicher, dass kein unbeabsichtigtes Einschalten oder
Einstecken von Netzspannung möglich ist.

Verlegen Sie Kabel für 12-V-Gleichspannung und 230-V-Wechselspannung niemals in
derselben Leitungsdurchführung.

Eine Verbindung zwischen PE und Nan Ausgang AC-OUT ist nicht zulässig.

Befolgen Sie die vorgeschriebenen Vorgaben und Richtlinien je nach Installationssitu-
ation. Es muss eine geeignete Schutzvorrichtung verwendet werden. Bei Verwendung
mit einer Fehlerstromschutzvorrichtung (RCD) müssen Nund PE am 230-V-Ausgang
des Wechselrichters kurzgeschlossen werden.

Der Umschalter gibt dem Eingang AC1-IN (Eingang externer Netzstrom) Vorrang vor AC2-IN (Wech-
selrichter).
➤Stellen Sie sicher, dass der verwendete Wechselrichter mit einer Sicherheitstrennung (galvani-
sche Trennung) zwischen Eingang (Batteriespannung) und Wechselspannungsausgang (230-
V-Wechselspannung) ausgestattet ist.
Die angeschlossenen Kabel müssen über einen ausreichenden Querschnitt verfügen, um Schäden
durch Überhitzung oder einen Brand zu vermeiden.
➤Prüfen Sie die Kabel nach der Installation auf Beschädigungen und sichern Sie sie gegen Zug-
belastung mit geeigneten Gegenmaßnahmen.
8Betrieb
Das Gerät funktioniert ohne jeglichen Eingriff durch den Benutzer. Das Gerät erkennt den Leis-
tungseingang und schaltet automatisch um, sobald eine Änderung der Eingangsversorgung
erkannt wird. Die Überwachung erkennt automatisch, ob die 230-V-Wechselspannung des exter-
nen Stromnetzes verfügbar ist, und führt diese direkt den 230-V-Steckdosen zu. Wenn keine 230-
V-Netzwechselspannung anliegt, schaltet die Einheit um und die Innenraumsteckdosen werden
vom Wechselrichter versorgt.
9 Reinigung und Pflege
Das Gerät ist wartungsfrei.
➤Reinigen Sie das Produkt gelegentlich mit einem feuchten Tuch.
10 Fehlersuche und Fehlerbehebung
Der Anschluss an die Stromversorgung muss von einer Fachkraft ausgeführt wer-
den, die nachweislich über Fähigkeiten und Kenntnisse in Bezug auf den Aufbau
und den Betrieb von Elektrogeräten und -anlagen verfügt und ein Sicherheitstrai-
ning zum Erkennen und Vermeiden der diesbezüglichen Gefahren absolviert hat.

Wenn eine Sicherung defekt ist, öffnen Sie die obere Gehäuseabde-
ckung und ersetzen Sie die defekte Sicherung durch eine Sicherung mit
demselben Wert (10 A, T 250 V).
Wenn das Problem direkt nach der Installation auftritt, stellen Sie sicher,
dass die Verkabelung gemäß dem Anschlussplan erfolgt ist.
