To adjust sensor height, hold straight edge across
pads (B1 & B2). Turn sensors (A & A) out or until
distance to straight edge equals the desired water
detection level. See Figure 2.
Connect battery leads (E-E) to terminals of batteries
(C-C). Then insert the batteries into retainer clips
(D-D).
Wait ten seconds, then test unit by touching wet
ngers to both sensors(A-A). The unit should ac-
tivate.
Position Water Alert in desired location and retest it
by placing wet ngers across the heads of the two
screws on which sensors are mounted The unit
should activate.
When activated, the unit will be in alert condition for
2-3 seconds and turn o for 5-7 seconds to conserve
battery resources.
To reset the unit, simply remove it from water. If
necessary, dry o the sensor area if it is excessively
wet (if the unit was submerged).

NOTE
BATTERIES
Two 9-volt alkaline batteries (NEDA size 1604A) are
required. Approximate alarm duration time (after one
year monitoring) is 10 days.
The Alkaline batteries should be replaced once a year.
If the unit is activated often, the batteries might need
to be replaced sooner.
Whenever the batteries are replaced, it is a good
practice to wipe clean the top surface of the Water
Alert and its sensors.
A Dorlen Power Supply, such as the PSW-3, may be
used in place of batteries. If so, follow the furnished
instructions for wiring.
