Remove the bypass knob.
The exposed axle should be
in this position. This will stay
inside the unit body for now.
2. Below is a reference of the
proper position of the internal
components before removal.

1. Remove the black cap and
set screw from the top of the
bypass assembly as shown.
On the outlet side of the unit,
unscrew the internal screw
securing the bypass retainer.
4. Remove the bypass retainer.
5. Remove the other internal
components.

Changing the Bypass Instructions:

Install new bypass axle as
shown through unit body and
O-ring.
8. Take the spring and secure
with zip ties with locking
ends on the inside of the
spring.

7. Remove bypass axle and
replace internal O-ring as
shown in photo.
Insert the bound spring and
retainer/spring connection into
position as shown in photo.

Back on the the top of the
unit, install the bypass knob,
as shown, and secure the
set screw.

Carefully cut the zip ties away
from spring and remove zip tie
pieces. Spring will set tension
when the zip ties no longer bind.
11.
Install the black cap on top of
the bypass knob in the proper
position.
14.
Install the bypass retainer
as shown in the photo and
secure the set screw.
