THIS MANUAL MUST BE RETAINED FOR FUTURE REFERENCE. READ,
UNDERSTAND AND FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS AND WARNINGS
CONTAINED IN THIS MANUAL.
NOTIFY CARRIER OF DAMAGE AT ONCE It is the responsibility of the
consignee to inspect the container upon receipt of same and to determine
the possibility of any damage, including concealed damage. Unified
Brands suggests that if you are suspicious of damage to make a notation
on the delivery receipt. It will be the responsibility of the consignee to file
a claim with the carrier. We recommend that you do so at once.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Please read all instructions before using your PURA 400 Air Purifier. Follow the
directions below for easy set-up and first time operation.
• Unpack and remove all packing material. Remove air purifier from plastic bag.
• Completely unravel the power cord and place your PURA 400 Air Purifier on a
flat. dry, stable surface, at least four inches from any wall, with the air vent facing
away from the wall.
• Make sure the speed control switch is in the off (0) position and plug the power
cord into a 120 VAC/60Hz wall outlet.
• Your PURA 400 Air Purifier features three different speed settings: high (III), medium
(II), and low (I). The highest setting will provide the fastest delivery of clean air.
• When first turning on your PURA 400 Air Purifier, set to the high setting and let it run
for an hour. After an hour, turn speed control switch to desired setting.
• Your PURA 400 Air Purifier is designed to run 24/7. This ensures optimal filter
performance and guarantees the air is clean and free from pollutants.

WHEN USING ELECTRICAL APPLIANCES,BASIC PRECAUTIONS SHOULD ALWAYS BE FOLLOWED
TO REDUCE THE RISK OF FIRE, ELECTRIC SHOCK, AND INJURY TO PERSONS INCLUDING THE
FOLLOWING:
Read all instructions before operating your PURA 400 Air Purifier.
Always place your PURA 400 Air Purifier on a firm. flat. dry level surface.
The PURA 400 Air Purifier must be used in its upright position.
Keep your PURA 400 Air Purifier away from heated surfaces, open flames, combustible gases, and
vapors.
Keep your PURA 400 Air Purifier and cord out of the way, where it cannot be stepped on or tripped
over.
Before operating your PURA 400 Air Purifier, extend the cord and inspect for any signs of damage.
Do not use your PURA 400 Air Purifier if the cord is damaged.
Keep your PURA 400 Air Purifier away from water and other liquids.
Do not run power cord under carpets. and do not cover with throw rugs.
Always turn your PURA 400 Air Purifier to the off (O) position and unplug from the wall before
moving it, changing the filter or whenever it is not in use. Be sure to pull the plug and not the cord
when disconnecting from the outlet.
Do not drop, insert or allow any objects to enter into any openings of your PURA 400 Air Purifier.
If this occurs. immediately turn off and unplug your PURA 400 Air Purifier and call a PURA 400 Air
Purifier customer service representative.
Do not block the air openings on your PURA 400 Air Purifier. Blocking the air openings will
decrease the efficiency of your PURA 400 Air Purifier and increase risk of injury.
Do not use outdoors. Your PURA 400 Air Purifier is intended for indoor use only.
To avoid the risk of fire, shock or personal injury, do not use an extension cord.
Do not sit, stand, or place heavy objects on your PURA 400 Air Purifier.
Do not operate your PURA 400 Air Purifier if it malfunctions or becomes damaged in any way.
Keep out of the reach of children.
DO NOT attempt to repair or adjust any electrical or mechanical functions on your PURA 400 Air
Purifier. Doing so will void your warranty. All servicing should be performed by an authorized PURA
400 Air Purifier representative only.

MAINTENANCE
FILTER REPLACEMENT SCHEDULE
A replacement filter should be purchased and installed every 6 months.
CHANGING THE FILTER
1. You will need a large plastic trash bag, a pair of work
gloves and a Phillips screwdriver. Switch your unit to the
OFF position. Unplug your PURA 400 Air Purifier from the
power outlet.
2. Turn your PURA 400 Air Purifier upside down on a soft
surface.
3. Using a Phillips screwdriver, remove the four retaining
screws from the bottom cover.
4. Wearing a pair of protective work gloves, lift the bottom
cover off and set aside.
5. Carefully remove the filter and dispose in a plastic trash
bag.
6. Remove the outer pre-filter and dispose in the same
plastic trash bag.
7. Install the new outer pre-filter by aligning the pre-filter
seam with the power cord.
8. Install the new filter top side down.
9. Replace the bottom cover and screw down tightly.
10. Turn your PURA 400 Air Purifier right side up and operate
on the high (III) setting for at least one hour.
CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS
WARNING: DO NOT ATTEMPT TO CLEAN THE FILTER. WASHING OR CLEANING THE
FILTER WILL VOID THE WARRANTY AND MAY CAUSE INJURY.
Your PURA 400 Air Purifier has been designed to require very little maintenance. To
remove the dust buildup on the 360-degree air intake. vacuum the exterior of the unit
using the brush attachment of your vacuum cleaner. To clean the other surfaces on
your PURA 400 Air Purifier, wipe with a soft dampened cloth.

This Limitation of Warranties, Liability and Remedies is included in the terms of sales
for this product. Please read this entire Limitation of Warranties, Liability and Remedies
before accepting or using this equipment or product. Customer acknowledges and
accepts the provisions of this notice by Customer’s acceptance and use of the product.
If these provisions are not acceptable and agreed to by Customer, then please return
this product in its unused condition to Unified Brands or a Unified Brands authorized
dealer.
UNIFIED BRANDS warrants this product against defects in material and workmanship
under normal use and services for which this product was designed. This warranty
runs only to the original end user and is in lieu of any other liability for defects.
THE WARRANTIES EXPRESSED IN THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS ARE IN PLACE
OF ANY AND ALL OTHER EXPRESS WARRANTIES (UNLESS SEPARATELY STATED IN
PRINTED MATERIAL PREPARED BY US DESCRIBING OUR EQUIPMENT) AND EXCLUDE
ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, ANY WARRANTY OF
MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR ANY PARTICULAR PURPOSE; NOR ARE THERE
ANY OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, BY OPERATION OF LAW OR
OTHERWISE. In no event shall UNIFIED BRANDS be liable for damages or delay or
for any consequential, special or contingent damages arising out of any breach of
our warranty, whether or not we have knowledge of specific needs or our employees
or agents have given any specific assurances. Anyone claiming that there has been
a breach of warranty by UNIFIED BRANDS must give us written notice within THIRTY
(30) days after discovery of the relevant defect or the right to assert such claim will
have been waived conclusively and provided further that any such claim must also be
asserted within the general warranty period for such equipment and/or parts.
UNIFIED BRANDS will not be liable for any expense incurred without our prior written
authorization for alterations made outside of our factory or for repairs which are
not performed by UNIFIED BRANDS authorized service departments using UNIFIED
BRANDS factory parts. Nor shall we be responsible for the performance of equipment
as to which any repairs, revisions or alterations have been made by others.
THE EXCLUSIVE REMEDY OF THE USER OR BUYER AND THE EXCLUSIVE LIABILITY OF
UNIFIED BRANDS OR ANY SELLER OF UNIFIED BRANDS PRODUCTS, FOR ANY AND ALL
CLAIMS, LOSSES, INJURIES, OR DAMAGES (INCLUDING CLAIMS BASED ON BREACH
OF WARRANTY, CONTRACT, NEGLIGENCE, TORT, STRICT LIABILITY, OR OTHERWISE)
RESULTING FROM OR ARISING OUT OF THE USE OF HANDLING OF THIS PRODUCT,
SHALL BE THE RETURN OF THE PURCHASE PRICE OR AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED
THE ORIGINAL PURCHASE PRICE OF THE PRODUCT OR, AT THE ELECTION OF UNIFIED
BRANDS OR THE SELLER, THE REPLACEMENT OF THE PRODUCT.

2-year parts and labor warranty period begins the date of purchase.
Force majeure factors and man-made damage or failure are not covered by the
warranty.

SPARE PARTS
Spare parts shall be provided free of charge during the warranty period; spare parts
shall be charged based on the market price after the warranty period expires.
