paperclip int o t he hole. You will feel t he but t on
inside depress gent ly. Hold it f or 5 seconds.
The VigorAP will rest art wit h t he f act ory def ault
conf igurat ion and t he LED will blink blue.

VigorAP can be inst alled under cert ain locat ions: wooden ceiling, plast erboard
ceilings, light -weight ed st eel f rame and wall.

Det ermine where t he Access Point t o be placed and mark locat ion on t he surf ace
for t he t wo mount ing holes. Use t he appropriat e drill bit t o drill t wo holes in t he
markings and hammer t he bolt s int o t he openings.
1. Place t he mount base under t he wooden ceiling and f ast en it on t he ceiling
wit h t wo screws f irmly.
2. When t he mount base is in place, slide t he AP int o t he slot of t he mount
base.

1. Insert t wo t urnbuckles f irmly int o t he plast erboard.
2. Set t he Mount Base in t he t urnbuckles. Let t he screws pass t hrough t he
Mount Base and insert t hem int o t he t urnbuckles. Fast en t hem t o of fer a
more powerf ul support ing force.
3. When t he Mount Base is in pl ace, slide t he mount base int o t he slot of t he
AP.

You cannot screw int o ceiling t iles as t hey are weak and not suit able f or bearing
loads. Your VigorAP is supplied wit h mount s (Mount Base) which will be used t o
at t ach direct ly t o t he ceiling frame of your suspended ceiling.
1. Slide t he mount base int o t he slot of t he AP.
2. Hold t he Access Point wit h one hand t o reach t he ot her hand over t he T-Rail
sides of t he bracket .
3. Rot at e and hook t he st at ionary end of t he ceiling mount base ont o t he T-Rail
ceiling frame.
Note
Warning: The screw set shown bel ow is f or wal l mount ing only.
Do not use such set for ceiling mount ing due t o t he danger of
falling.

For wall-mount ing, t he VigorAP has keyhole t ype mount ing slot s on t he
underside.
1. Use t he appropriat e drill bit t o drill t wo holes in t he markings and hammer
t he bolt s int o t he openings.
2. Screw t he anchors unt o t he holes unt il t hey are f lush wit h t he wall; screw
t he included screws int o t he anchors.
3. Place t he Access Point against wall wit h t he mount ing screw heads.
Note
The recommended drill diamet er is 6. 5mm (1/ 4").

Your VigorAP can be used wit h Vigor rout ers which support AP management (such
as t he Vigor2865 or Vigor2927 series). AP Management enables you t o monit or
and manage mult iple DrayTek APs from a single int erf ace.
1. Connect VigorAP t o PoE swit ch (via LAN port ) wit h Et hernet cable. VigorAP
will get t he power f rom t he swit ch direct ly. Then, connect t he VigorSwit ch
t o a Vigor rout er.
2. Access int o t he web user int erf ace of Vigor rout er. Here we t ake Vigor2865
as an example. Open Central Management>>AP>>Status.
3. Locat e VigorAP 1060C. Click t he IP address assigned by Vigor rout er t o
access int o web user int erf ace of VigorAP 1060C.
4. Af t er ent ering t he username and password (admin/ admin), t he main screen
will be displayed.

Inst all VigorAP on t o t he ceiling.
As a mesh node, set t ings relat ed t o VigorAP 1060C must be conf igured
by a remot e Mesh Root (e. g., VigorAP 903) wit hin t he mesh net work.
The user must det ect VigorAP 1060C via a Mesh Root t o add it as a
mesh node.

As an access point , VigorAP 1060C must be connect ed t o a rout er and conf igured
in AP (Access Point ) / Range Ext ender mode.
Inst all VigorAP on t o t he ceiling.
Use a t wist ed-pair cable wit h RJ-45 plugs at bot h ends, and plug int o
Et hernet device (e.g., Vigor rout er) and Et hernet port of VigorAP.

There are two methods t o conf igure VigorAP.
Method 1:
(a) First , open a web browser on your PC and t ype https:/ / 192.168. 1.2. A
pop-up window will open t o ask f or username and password.
Note
You may eit her simply set up your comput er t o get IP
dynamically from t he rout er or set up t he IP address of t he
comput er t o be in t he same subnet as the IP address of
VigorAP 1060C.
If t here is no DHCP server on t he net work, t hen VigorAP
1060C will have an IP address of 192. 168.1. 2.
If t here is DHCP available on t he net work, t hen VigorAP
1060C will receive it s IP address via t he DHCP server.
If you connect t o VigorAP by wireless LAN, you could t ry
t o access t he web user int erf ace t hrough
ht t p: / / vigorap. com.
(b) Aft er clicking Login, Quick Start Wizard f or configuring wireless
set t ings will appear as f ollows.

(c) Follow t he on-screen st eps t o f inish t he net work connect ion.
Method 2:
(a) Use a mobile phone t o scan t he QR code named wit h DrayTek Wireless
App t o download DrayTek Wireless APP.
(b) Aft er downloading, run t he APP.
(c) From t he home page, click t he Connect icon t o access t he Connect
page. Next , press t he QR code icon next t o Scan QR Code on your
phone screen t o open t he camera.
Scan t he QR code named wit h Connect SSID t o access t he web user
int erf ace (conf igurat ion wizard) of VigorAP 1060C. (For iOS users, t he
SSID and t he password will be shown first . Simply click t he Connect
but t on t o access t he web user int erf ace of VigorAP. )
