1.3OperatorResponsibility
· Keepthetilleringoodoperatingcondition.Operatingatillerinpoororquestionableconditioncouldresultin
seriousinjury.
· Besureallsafetydevicesareinworkingorderandwarninglabelsareinplace.Theseitemsareinstalledforyour
safety.
· Besurethesafetycovers(Fancover,recoilstartercover)areinplace.
· Knowhowtostoptheengineandtinesquicklyincaseofemergency.Understandtheuseofallcontrols.
· Keepafirmholdonthehandlebars,theymaytendtoliftduringclutchengagement.
· Don’tallowanyonewithoutpropertrainingtooperatethistillertoavoidinjury.
· Wearsturdy,full‐coveragefootwear.Operatingthistilleronbarefootorwithopentoeshoesorsandalsincrease
yourriskofinjury.
· Dresssensibly.Looseclothingmaybecaughtbymovingparts,increasingyourriskofinjury.
· Bealert,operatingthistillerwhenyouaretired,illorundertheinfluenceofalcoholordrugsmayresultin
seriousinjury.

1.4ChildrenSafety

1.6FireandBurnHazard
Gasolineisextremelyflammableandgasolinevaporisexplosive.
Takeextremecarewhenhandlinggasoline.Keepgasolineoutofreachofchildren.
· Refuelinawell‐ventilatedareawiththeenginestopped.
· Allowtheenginetocooldownbeforerefueling.Fuelvapororspilledfuelmaybeignited.
· Theengineandexhaustsystembecomeveryhotduringoperationandremainhotforawhileafterstopping.
Touchthehotenginecomponentscancauseburninjuriesandcanignitesomematerials.

1.7CarbonMonoxidePoisoningHazard
Exhaustcontainspoisonouscarbonmonoxide,acolorlessandodorlessgas.Breathingexhaustcancauselossof
consciousness,evenleadtodeath.
· Ifyouruntheengineinanareathatisconfinedorevenpartiallyenclosed,theairyoubreathecouldcontaina
dangerousamountofexhaustgas.Tokeepexhaustgasfrombuilding‐up,provideadequateventilation.
1.8OperationonSlope
· Whentillingonslopes,keeplessthanhalftankoffueltominimizefuelspillage.
· Tillacrosstheslope(atequallyspacedintervals)ratherthanupanddown.
· Beverycarefulwhenchangingthedirectionofthetilleronaslope.
· Donotusethetilleronaslopeofmorethan10o.
· Themaximumsafegradeangleshownisforreferencepurposeonlyandshouldbedeterminedaccordingtothe
typeofthetoolbeforestartingtheengine,ensurethatthetillerisnotdamagedandingoodcondition.Forthesafetyof
yourselfandothers,exerciseextremecarewhenusingthetillerupordownhills.
1.9Groundcondition

· Donotworkonsoggyground;lumpsofearthcanbecaughtbythehoeingassemblyandthrownout.Ifforeign
bodies,e.g.stones,areencounteredbythehoeingdevice,stopthemachine,switchitoffandcheckitfordamage.
· Donotworkonanysurfacesbelowwhichgasorpowerlines,orsimilar,arelocated.
· Donotworkclosetotreesotherwisethemachinemaycutthroughtheroots.

allitemsandchecktherearenopartsdamagedormissing.Ifyoufindanythingwrong,donotoperatetheproductuntil
thepartshavebeenreplacedorthefaulthasbeenrectified.Failuretodosocouldresultinseriousinjury.

WARNING Stoptheengineandunplugthesparkplugbeforeanyrepairsormaintenanceoperations.
WARNING DONOTattempttostartthismowerwithoutthemowerfirstbeingFULLYassembled.
WARNING DONOTattempttostartthismowerwithoutfirstaddingSAE10W/30engineoiltothe
engine.
Beforeassembling,pleasetakeallpartsoutfromthepackageandplacethemontheground,carefully
checkifallthecomponentsareinreadinessandnotbroken.
4.1. Liftfrontwheel
Pullthefrontwheeldownwardsothatthefrontwheelcanrotatefreely,thenliftthefrontwheelbrackettoaproper
positionandthefrontwheelbracketwillbefixedautomaticallybythespring.Thetillercanstandwithnoother
support.
4.2. Attachingthehandlebar
AttachthehandlebartothehandlebarsupportproperlytoaligntheassemblyholesandthenfixwithM8*45bolt.
4.3. Dragbar
Firstattachthedragbar(7)tothedragbarholder,chooseaproperheightandthenlockthedragbar
withR‐typelockingpin.

5. Pre‐operationCheck
Pleaseattentiontocheckallthecomponentsaregoodandcontrolsarefunctionalbeforeeachuse.
5.1. Engineoil
CAUTION:Runningtheenginewithlowoillevelwillcauseseriousenginedamage.
1) Wipethedipstickup.
2) Putthedipstickintotheoilfillerneck,andscrewitin.
3) Ifthelevelislow,filltherecommendedoiltothemiddleoftheoildipstick.
Usehigh‐detergent,premiumquality4‐strokeengineoil,certifiedtomeetorexceedU.S.automobilemanufacturer’s
requirementforAPIServiceClassificationSG,SF.
CAUTION:Usingnon‐detergentoilor2‐strokeengineoilcouldshortentheengine’sservicelife.
SAE10w‐30isrecommendedforgeneral,alltemperatureuse.Otherviscositiesshowninthefollowingchartmightbe
usedwhentheaveragetemperatureinyourareaiswithintheindicatedrange.

closedproperlyandsecurely.
· Becarefulnottospillfuelwhenrefueling.Spilledfuelorfuelvapormaybeignited.Ifanyfuelisspilled,make
suretheareaisdrybeforestartingtheengine.
· Avoidrepeatedorprolongedcontactwithskinorbreathingofvapor.

5.4. Toolsandattachments
Toinstallatoolorattachmenttothetiller,followtheinstructionsfurnishedwiththetoolorattachment.Askyour
dealerforadviceifyouencounterwithanyproblemordifficultyininstallingatoolorattachment.
CAUTION:Besuretheclutchisdisengagedandtheshiftleverisintheneutralpositiontopreventsuddenuncontrolled
movementwhentheenginestarts.Theclutchisengagedbypullingintheclutchleveranddisengagedbyreleasingthe
lever.

6. EngineStart
6.1 Turntheengineswitchto“ON”.
6.2 Pullthestartergriplightlyuntilresistanceisfeltthenpullrapidly.
CAUTION:Donotallowthestartergriptosnapbackagainsttheengine.Returnitgentlytopreventdamagetothe
starter.
6.3 Astheenginewarmsup,graduallyopenthechoke.

7. TillerOperation
7.1 Tillerheightadjustment
CAUTION:Beforeadjustingthehandlebar,placethetilleronfirmlevelgroundtopreventthehandlefromcollapsing
accidentally.
Toadjustthetillerheight,loosentheadjuster,selecttheappropriateholeandtightentheadjuster.
7.2 Tillingdepthadjustment
Installthehitchattachmentinthehitchboxwithahitchpin.
Thetillingdepthadjustmentcanbemadeasfollows:
Removethehitchbarlockingpin,slidingthedragbarupordownasnecessary.
7.3 Clutchoperation
Theclutchengagesanddisengagesthepowerfromtheenginetothetransmission.
Whentheclutchleverissqueezedtheclutchisengagedandpoweristransmitted.Squeezethelever,thetoolwillbe
rotated.
Whentheleverisreleased,theclutchisdisengagedandpowerisnottransmitted,releasetheclutchlever,thetoolwill
bestopped.
CAUTION:Reduceenginerpmbeforeoperatingmainclutch.

7.4 Frontwheel
Movethetilleronroadbythefrontwheel,liftthehandlebarsupandgroundthefrontwheel.
Whenthetillerisusedinthefield,movethewheelup.
(1) pullthefrontwheeldownward
(2) liftthefrontwheeluptoproperposition
7.5 HandlingTips
Adjustthehandlebarheighttoacomfortableposition(usuallywaistheightisrecommended)
Ifthemachinejerkforwardwhiletilling,pressdownthehandlebars;ifthemachinewillnotmoveforward,movethe
handlebarsfromsidetoside.
Turn:Thepropermethodofnegotiatingaturnistolowerthehandlebarstomakethegravityoftillerbackwardcentre
towardtherearandthenmaketheturn.Thiswillpermitaturnwithrelativeease.
CAUTION:
· Donotusethetillerwitharotorwithdiameterover260mm.
· Operatingthetillerongradescouldcausethetillertotipover.
· Allowinganyonetooperatethistillerwithoutproperinstructionmayresultininjury.
· Wearsturdy,fullcoveragefootwear.Operatingthistilleronbarefeet,orwithopentoeshoesorsandals
increasesyourriskofinjury.
· Donotusethetillerinthenight.
· Besuretotransportthetillerfromoneplacetoanotherbytwopeople,ifacarrierisnotavailable.
· Whentherotoriscloggedwithmud,pebbleetc,immediatelystoptheengineandcleantherotorinasafeplace.
Besuretowearheavygloveswhencleaningtherotor.
· Topreventdamage,checkthetillerforanysignsofdamageorotherfaultseachtimewhenthetillerisusedafter
ithasbeenoperated.
