2. Unzipdoorsandwindowsandcollapsetheswag,removinganddisassemblingthe
poles.Placethepolesinsidetheswag.
3. Removepegsandplaceinthepegcarrybagandtieitshut.
Donotremovepegsfromthegroundbypullingonthepegloops–thismaycausethe
pegloopstotearoutoftheseam.
4. Spreadtheswagoutflatwithalllosefabricwithintheedgesoftheswagbase.
Trytoflattentheswagasmuchaspossible.
5. Rolltheswagfromtheheadendtothefootthenholdrolledupusingthewebbing
strapsprovided.
6. Whentheswagisrolledup,placeintoswagcarrybag,withpegbag,instructionsheet
andothermiscellaneousparts.Iftheswagdoesnotfitintothecarrybag,unrolland
re‐rollmoretightly.
HELPFULHINTSGUIDE
CONDENSATION–thisiscausedbylowertemperaturesontheoutsideoftheswagcombined
withyourbodyheatontheinsideoftheswag.Whenthisoccurs,avoidtouchingthewallsto
reducecontactleakage.Leavingthedoorsandwindowsopenwillreducemoisture
condensation.
SEAMLEAKAGE–allDuneswagsaremanufacturedbyexpertmachinists.However,seepage
mayoccurintheseamsthroughtheneedleholescreatedduringthesewingprocess.Thisis
normalandcanbecorrectedbyapplyingagenerousamountofseamsealerorwaxonthe
insideontheseams.Seamsealerisavailableatallretailcampingspecialists.
MILDEW–toavoidmildew,neverstoreyourswagawaywetordamp.Howeverifmildew
occurs,useasoftbristlebrushorspongewithmilddetergenttoclean.Lettheswagdryinthe
sunlightandre‐applyseamsealercompoundontheinsideoftheseams.
REPAIRINGATEAR–forsmalltears,useaself‐adhesivepatchkit.Werecommendacanvasor
awningrepairerforlargertears.
FAULTYZIPPER–allourswagsaremanufacturedwithzipperswhich,ifthezipperseparates,
youcanfixthezipperbymovingtheslidertothebeginningtothezippertapeandreworking
thezipper.Ifthisdoesn’twork,werecommendyouvisitacanvasorawningrepairerinyour
area.
FADINGFABRICS–donotleaveyourswagsetupindirectsunlightlongerthanisnecessary.If
leftinsunlightforprolongedperiodsiftime,thefabricwillfadeandweaken.
FLOORCONDENSATION–agroundsheetundertheswagpreventsthefloorfromfeeling
dampandhelpsprolongitslife.Thegroundsheetshouldbesmallerthantheswag’sfloorto
preventrainfromrunningundertheswag.
REMOVINGPEGS–pegsshouldbepulledoutwithanotherpeg,hammerorapegpuller.
Neverremoveapegbypullingontheswag.Avoidpeggingtheswagsotightthatitstretches
thefabric.Overstretchingmaycausepegloopstotear.
