Prepare the Door and Check Dimensions
2-1/8”

Measure to confirm that the lock bore in
the door is 2-1/8” (54mm) in diameter. B C D
Measure to confirm that the backset is
either 2-3/8” or 2-3/4” (60 or 70 mm).
Measure to confirm that the lock bore in
the door edge is 1” (25mm).
Measure to confirm that the door is
between 1-3/8” to 2” (35mm to 50mm)

2Install the Latch and Strike
Hold the latch in front of the lock bore, with the
latch face flush against the door edge.

3Install Exterior Assembly
GInsert the key and test the latch for smooth operation.
If latch does not
operate smoothly,
adjust screws.

HRemove the key and make sure the latch bolt is
still in the unlocked position.
CIMPORTANT: Ensure the torque blade is in the
horizontal position.

ARoute the cable below the latch. BIMPORTANT: Ensure the latch is fully retracted
(in the unlocked position).
DInsert the torque blade through the horizontal
slot in the latch.

the mounting plate and slip the cable through the
bottom hole.

FSecure the mounting plate with the supplied

4Install Interior Assembly
CEnsure the torque blade is still in the horizontal
position and install the interior assembly.

Align the colored edges of the connectors and ensure
a tight cable connection.
ARemove the battery cover.
FTest the thumbturn for smooth rotation.
DSecure the interior assembly with the supplied screws.

Ensure correct
polarity.
ELoad 4 AA batteries into the interior assembly. For best
results, use new, non-rechargable Alkaline batteries
only.

Master Reset and Detecting Handing of the Lock

Before RESET, ensure the unit is unlocked. Using the Push
Pin (D), depress the RES. button for 3 seconds until a BEEP-
BEEP-BEEP sound is heard.

Replace the battery cover.

Motor will detect the handing and extend the latchbolt
out to the locked position.

Quick Set-up and Use

The default master code is 12345678. To change it, follow these steps:

all the lights turn off to exit settings menu and start again.

How to Change the Master Code

a) Locking the door from the outside
1. Press the button for 2seconds.
2. Motor will extend the latch bolt; a red light will indicate the door is
locked.
b) Unlocking the door from the outside
1. Enter the master code or user code, followed by the
button.
2. Motor will retract the latch bolt; a green light will indicate the
door is unlocked.
c) Locking/unlocking from the inside
Rotate the thumbturn 90 degrees clockwise/counter-clockwise.
d) Master reset
Repeat the same steps as 5. “Master Reset and Detecting Handing
of Lock“.
3. Re-enter the same new master code (4to 10 digits), followed
by the button.

followed by the button.

followed by the button. A green light will flash to indicate
you are in the settings menu.

How to Set to Silent Mode

The beep sounds when pressing the keypad can be muted, but low
battery and system alerts will still be audible.
Wrong Entry Limit

After 10 unsuccessful attempts at entering a valid user code, the unit
will shut down for 3 minutes.

How to Set Vacation Mode

This is a security feature for when you are leaving your home for
vacation or extended periods. Enabling vacation mode will restrict
all user codes until the master code is entered on the keypad.
4. A green light will indicate vacation mode is enabled.
5. To disable vacation mode, simply enter the master code.

Automatically lock the deadbolt 30 seconds after unlocking. This
feature is turned off by default.

Trouble Shooting8
A
Thumbturn cannot turn, motor cannot retract/
extend latch bolt
Reinstall the lock all over again, making sure that the latch bolt is in
the unlocked position.

The keypad buttons do not respond when pressed
Ensure the cable is properly connected and that the batteries have
power and are installed correctly (+/-).
Perform a reset in order to erase all user codes. Simply press the
RES button to delete all user codes and return the lock back to its
original factory setting (12345678).
Forgot your master code

1. Make sure the code you have entered is correct.
2. Make sure the batteries are correctly installed.
3. Make sure the batteries are not dead.
4. If needed, restore the lock to the factory-default setting.
The keypad is not responding

Red light continues to flash after every press of
the buttons (even after waiting for all the lights
to be turned off)
Use the Push Pin to press the RES button for 3seconds. This will
master reset the lock back to its factory-default setting (master code
12345678). Set up the lock (refer to 6. Quick Set-Up) again.
How to Set Auto Lock Time Delay
You can set the Auto Lock Delay between 10 seconds to 99
seconds.
4. A green light will flash to indicate success.
2. Press “8”.
3. Enter new duration time from 10 seconds to 99 seconds,
followed by the button.
1. Press the button twice, followed by the master code,
followed by the button. A green light will flash to indicate
you are in the settings menu.
How to Add a One-Time Code

This code can only be used once (it will automatically be deleted
after use).

2. Press “7”.
3. Enter the new one-time code, followed by the button.
4. Re-enter the new one-time code, followed by the button.
