• When using electrical appliances basic safety precautions should always be
followed.
• There are no user-serviceable parts in this product. Refer servicing to qualied
personnel.
• This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) who are not
mentally able, physically capable, experienced or do not understand the product.
They should be given supervision and instruction in the use of the appliance by a
person responsible for their safety.
• Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
• Never place the product or part of it in water.
• Always observe the safety instructions and applicable regulations.
• Replace the batteries as soon as the low battery indicator appears on the display.
• Fit a full set of batteries at one time.
• Remove dead batteries from the appliance or if it is not going to be used for a long
time.
• Only use the batteries recommended for this product.
• Ensure that the batteries are inserted correctly, observing the correct polarity.
• Never mix old and new batteries together, or different types of batteries.
• Never dispose of batteries in a re, or attempt to recharge ordinary batteries.
• Remove the probe cover from the top and store it by placing it on the bottom of the
casing and the Instrument switches on automatically.
• Press the measuring electrodes as far as possible into the material.
• Read the measurement shown on the LCD dual display (moisture/temperature).
• Always measure the moisture in wood perpendicular to the bre structure.
• Repeated measuring yields representative data.
• Once all measurement is completed, press the on/off key for about 2 seconds and
the meter will power off.
CLEANING
• Wipe the outer casing with a damp cloth and a mild detergent.
• Do not use any chemicals, abrasives or solvents that may damage the instrument.
• Prevent dirt from accumulating between the probes.
Please read these instructions carefully before use and retain for future reference.
ON/OFF Button
• Long press (2 seconds) to turn the meter on or off.
Auto Power Off
• After approximately 2 minutes where no operation of the meter is made, the meter
will enter auto power off state.
• Pressing any button will power the meter back on again and continue the previous
function setting.
• To prevent auto shut down press and hold the MODE button while powering on the
meter.
Backlight
• Short press the on/off button to operate the backlight function.
Mode Button
• Long press (2seconds) to switch between Celsius/Fahrenheit modes.
• Short press for wood/material humidity measurement function.
Memory Function
• The instrument has internal memory and retains the last used settings and modes
after being switched off and on again.
