1. Your package contains: AutoSens device, batter , USB power cable, pre-paid SIM card, and a power
converter with hard wiring leads.
2. The pre-paid SIM card supplied with our package needs to be activated b ou personall . Follow the
instructions in our pre-paid SIM card package and note the phone number
which is allocated in the activation process – this is our device SIM card
number. After activation test the SIM card in a phone and confirm ou can
make and receive calls. Note: The SIM card has limited funds loaded and

3. Remove the back from the AutoSens device and insert the SIM card into the
slot provided ensuring the gold electrodes are face down and the cut off corner is on the side closest
to the batter terminals (Fig 1.).
4. Insert the batter making sure the three terminals align with the
pins of the device (Fig 2.). When the batter is in place a green light
on the side next to the power socket will flash. Replace the back cover
and slide the clip shut. Check the green light is still flashing.

the AutoSens device end of the cable (Fig 3) – the USB cable for testing and the power cable for
normal operation, and insert this plug into the side of the device ensuring the
plug is in the correct wa round (check which side has the curved corners
and be sure these align with the curved corners of the socket – do not force
the plug into the device.

toSens App – Before installing the App on our phone ensure our phone is able
to install Apps which don't come from the Google Pla Store. This is done within [settings] on our
Android phone, select [securit ], then tick [Unknown sources]. Then using our gmail account send
an e-mail to the following address: d namicsensors ste[email protected].au
our message should include the device number included in our package. You will receive b return
e-mail a message with an attached file which is our App (this file has the extension .apk). Your e-mail
message on our Android phone will prompt ou to install the App – click INSTALL. Ensure our
phone has adequate memor for our 2Mb AutoSens App.

new contact and name it ‘Harle ’ – enter the number of our device SIM card (provided b our
service provider during the SIM activation process in 3 above. If this number was 0412345678 enter
the international version: 61412345678 – this number is treated like an other local phone number
and is not

contact name ‘Harle ’.

ation of our Device – After an active SIM card has been inserted and batter charged and
installed, the device needs to be activated to communicate with our Android smart phone. Ensure
our AutoSens App has been loaded onto our phone (see previous item). Activation is via an SMS
sent to our device. The SMS is literal and consists of the digits inside

the international version of our Android phone number. So the example above assumes our phone

10. Setting up our App

Setting up our App – open our AutoSens App. With ‘Bike ID 1’ selected go to ‘EDIT Bike DATA’ in
blue at the bottom of the home screen. Select this to set up our device details. Click the box under
‘ENTER Bike ID’ and enter our device name ‘Harle ’ click ‘ENTER Bike ID. Click the box under ‘ENTER
Bike SMS Number’ and enter the 61 version of the device SIM card number – click ‘ENTER Bike SMS
Number’ to enter this number. Go back to the home screen. Your bike name and its device SIM card
number should be visible (name in Blue and number under ‘data’ in ellow). To enter data for other
bikes, on the home screen select a new bike ‘ Bike ID 2’ (in blue) and proceed to ‘EDIT BIKE DATA’ as
above for the second and subsequent bikes.
11. Check if ou have a WiFi connection – if not ou need to activate our service provider Data
connection on our Android phone – this enables Google maps to displa the location of our Bike.
Your s stem is now read to test.
12. Testing device

Testing device – Place our AutoSensBIKE device on our motor bike with the bike in an open space
with clear view of the sk . Leave it there for about 3-4 minutes. Open our AutoSens App and press
‘FIND BIKE’ and hold for about 3 seconds. A map should appear showing the location of our bike. If
ou receive a message sa ing ‘no GPS data’ our device is not receiving adequate GPS signal. Wait a
minute and tr ‘FIND BIKE’ again.
13. Device placement

Device placement – When the device has power from our bike, place it in a convenient location with
clear access to GPS satellites (plastic is ‘clear’ to GPS signals – so under plastic is OK). The device should
be ‘attached’ to a solid part of the bike in a water proof area. The device should not be placed under a
metal surface.
