Power Factor Meter

Introduction
1. Connect 3 phase 4 wire voltage and c rrent circ it as per the
connection diagram.
2. Connect rated a xiliary s pply at terminal 15 & 16.
3. Moment voltage is applied on a xiliary terminal, display starts showing
PF parameter one by one in a to scaling mode.
4. When power factor is leading
• Display shows negative sign
• Lead LED glows
5. When power factor is lagging then LAG LED glows

Safety Precautions
Read and follow all the safety preca tions and instr ctions before installing
and working with the eq ipment.

• Apply appropriate personal protective eq ipment(PPE) and follow safety
work practices
• Only q alified electrical workers sho ld install this eq ipment. S ch work
sho ld be performed only after reading this entire set of instr ctions.
• If the eq ipment is not sed in the manner specified by the man fact rer,
the protection provided by the eq ipment may be impaired.
• NEVER work alone.
• T rn OFF all power s pplying the meter and the eq ipment in which it is
installed before working on it.
• The s ccessf l operation of this eq ipment depends pon proper
handling, installation and operation. Neglecting f ndamental installation
req irements may lead to personal inj ry as well as damage to electrical
eq ipment or other property.
• NEVER bypass external f sing.
• NEVER short the secondary of PT
• NEVER open circ it a CT; se the shorting block to short circ it the leads of
CT before removing the connection from meter.
• Before performing Dielectric or Megger testing on any eq ipment in which
the meter is installed, disconnect all the inp t and o tp t wires to the
meter. High voltage testing may damage electronic components
contained in the meter.
• The meter sho ld be installed in a s itable electrical enclos re.
Failure to follow these instructions will result in death or serious injury.
• EAPL is not responsible for any conseq ential damages arising o t of se
of o r prod cts, tho gh the technology is ca tio sly chosen and
implemented like any other well designed good electric meter.

Kindly se star – type screw driver for tightening the screws.
NOTE: Installation sho ld incl de a disconnecting device, like switch or
circ it breaker, with clear ON/OFF markings, to t rn-off the a xiliary s pply
(control power).The disconnecting device sho ld be within the reach of the
eq ipment and the operator.
