OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Obtain pr per setting f r material t be used fr m the encl sed SETTING MATRIX included with this spreader, r
fr m ur web site under the MANUALS SECTION.
Set st p b lt n rate gauge assembly t the pr per rate setting.
While pushing spreader f rward, pull c ntr l lever back t st p b lt, t st p spreading, push lever f rward t cl se
fl w h les bef re y u st p m ving.
When finished, empty any remaining material fr m h pper, rinse spreader, apply c ating f light il t all metal
parts. The gearb x is sealed and is fact ry lubricated.
The SideSpread-Control is a patented inn vati n that is superi r t side deflect rs. Side deflect rs
bl ck material leaving the impeller. This bl cked material is n w c ns lidated int a 2-3” wide path
n the left inside wheel f y ur spreader. This equates t wasted fertilizer, dark green stripes, and in s me
cases this extra fertilizer (seven times) will damage the lawn.
SideSpread-Control maintains the c rrect applicati n rate while n t placing material n driveways, sidewalks,
fl werbeds, r w rse, the st rm drains in y ur street. This saves y u m ney and keeps y u fr m damaging y ur lawn.
T engage SideSpread-Control:
1) L cate the lever n under the right side f the h pper.
2) Slide the c ntr l lever fr m the fr nt t the back.
3) P siti n the left wheel f y ur spreader 6″–12″ fr m the sidewalk, fl werbed, r driveway and spread as
n rmal.
4) When y u have c mpleted this spreading pass, cl se the c ntr l lever t “0”, and then pen the SideSpred-
Control™ by sliding the c ntr l lever fr m back t the fr nt, f r a FULL, 180 degree spread pattern.
