• For optimal performance, replace HPS lamps every 18 months and MH lamps every 12 months.
• If transferring your plants from a cooler lighting system, raise lights 12”higher than recommended
and increase exposure times gradually over a few days to prevent sunburning your plants.
• Light output may seem to wobble - this is to be expected with new bulbs and light should stabilize
after the rst 100 hours of burn time.
• Lights take about 15-20 minutes to reach fullest intensity.
• Small glass debris inside the bulb is fairly common and does not aect performance.
• Do check for ssures or cracks in the bulb, even if light is working the bulb should be replaced
immediately.

• ELECTRICAL SHOCK MAY RESULT IF GUIDELINES, WARNINGS AND CAUTIONS LISTED BELOW ARE NOT FOLLOWED.
• NEVER DISCONNECT ANY POWER CORD FROM A BALLAST WHILE THE POWER IS PLUGGED IN.
• NEVER MOUNT ANY DEVICE DIRECTLY TO A SURFACE OF ANY KIND, ALWAYS MAINTAIN 8”-12” CLEARANCE ON ALL
SIDES OF YOUR LIGHT FIXTURE.
• ANY DEVICE CORD TO BE CONNECTED TO THE BALLAST MUST BE CONNECTED BEFORE CONNECTING BALLAST TO
POWER OUTLET.
• NEVER ATTACH DEVICES THAT EXCEED THE RATED WATTAGE OF YOUR BALLAST OR POWER SOURCE.
• NEVER USE WITHOUT A PROPERLY GROUNDED OUTLET.
• ALWAYS ALLOW LIGHTS AND OTHER DEVICES TO COOL COMPLETELY BEFORE MOVING, CLEANING, RESTARTING
OR TOUCHING.

• FOR INDOOR USE ONLY.
Assembly Instructions
1. First, check and re-check that all components are unplugged.
2. Attach any hangers supplied with your light xture and make sure they are securely connected.
3. Next, suspend your light xture from hooks anchored securely into ceiling studs. If you do not have, or cannot
locate studs, use expansion anchors and hooks that are rated to hold at least 50lbs. a piece and test your hanging
system BEFORE turning your grow kit on to make sure it will support the weight of your light. If you will be using
the rollers provided, see the YOYO information sheet for installation instructions. You may also use durable rope,
cord or chain that is strong enough to take the weight of the unit.
Note: Keep power cord from touching xture by using the fastener provided to steer the cord up and away from
the xture. You will need to divert the cord to a hook or wall fastener (not included) and then down to the ballast.
Make sure your cord points up and away from the light.
4. Next, with everything still unplugged, install the bulb by screwing it into the socket. DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN.
5. Remove any dirt or ngerprints by cleaning with a mild window cleaner. REMEMBER: Never attempt to clean or
touch a warm bulb! This could result in minor burns or cause the bulb to shatter. Always allow bulbs and other
components at least 20 minutes to cool before handling.
6. Finally, be sure you choose a level, dry surface on which to place your ballast. Keep away from ammable gas or
liquids and water. Ensure there is proper ventilation around the ballast and that the operating temperature can fall
within the ballast's parameters (See Ballast info sheet for more information).
Grow Light Troubleshooting
Trouble: Light will not turn on.
Remedies:
Conrm that the light is fully screwed into the socket but not overtightened.
Conrm that your light's wattage matches the wattage of your ballast.
Conrm that the type of bulb is compatible with your ballast.
If these three conditions are met and your light is still not working, replace bulb.
Note: It is quite common for bits of glass to be present inside your grow bulb. If you notice this, check the outside of
the bulb (when cool) for cracks or breakage, and if present, replace bulb, making sure to remove ngerprints and
debris after inspection or installation.
