Chapter1.Introduction
Liquid laminator is one kind of machine, which we use to apply special
emulsifiedliquidtocoatonthesurfaceofprintingsurface,afterdrying,a
protectivefilmwillbeformedonthesurfaceofthepicture.
Itiswidelyusedinthepost-productionofoutdoor/indooradvertisement
andvehiclebodyadvertisement.Theliquidfilmisformeddirectlyonthe
picture surface, the spaces between molecules reduced greatly, and
affixedfirmly.Itisimpossibletodepartthefilmfromthepicture.
This kind of machine can be used to laminate the picture with broad
widths,eitherstandardwidepictureornon-standardwidepicture,notbe
limitedtothewidthsofgeneralfilm.Thepicturewillshowmorebright-
colorandlooksbeautiful,withthefunctionofwaterproof,sun-proof,and
anti-ultravioletradiation.Thiswillenhancetheoutdoordurabilityofthe
printingpicture.Ofcourse,itisveryimportanttoselectliquidwithgood
quality.
The costs of making advertisement pictures will be significantly reduced by
using liquid laminator, and also reduce the waste substances into minimum.

4.1、 Heater Control Switch: Press the “ON” at the upper position of the
switch, it will start to heat up, and the indicator lamp will turn on; at the
same time, the cooler over the drying oven begin to work. Press the
“OFF” at the lower position of the switch, it will stop to heat up, and the
indicator lamp will turn off; the cooler over the drying oven stop
working after 2 minutes delayed.
4.2、 Cooler Switch: The cooler shall turn on when the machine begin to
work. There is a potentiometer inside the machine right cabinet to
adjust the cooler speed.
4.3、 Direction Switch of the collecting roller for pictures: Press the upper
position “F” of the switch to let the collecting roller for pictures rotating
in clockwise. Press the lower position “R” of the switch to let the
collecting roller for pictures rotating in counter-clockwise. The middle
position of the switch is idle state, and this can be used as pause
mode.
4.4、 Work-State-Selection Switch of the collecting roller for pictures: Press
the upper position “ON” of the switch, and the motor will work. Rotate
the speed-adjusting button in clockwise, the collecting roller for
pictures will run; Press the lower position “OFF” of the switch, the
collecting roller for pictures will stop.
4.5、 Speed-adjusting Button: When the Motor is working, rotate the speed-
adjusting button in clockwise or counter-clockwise to increase or
decrease the speed.
4.6、 Liquid Pump Switch: Press upper position “ON” of the switch, the
indicator lamp will be on, and the pump will begin to work. Press the
lower position “OFF” of the switch, the pump will stop work, the
indicator lamp will be off.
4.7、 Power Supply Switch: Press the upper position of the switch to turn on
the machine; Press the lower position of the switch to turn off the
machine. (Press again the upper position of the switch to continue
work after pressing the emergency switch.)
4.8、 Digital Temperature Controller: Using AL808 digital controller, its
measuring accuracy is ± 0.2 ℃. The machine has been set and tested
well in functions before ex-factory. The user only need to set
temperature according to laminating requirements. Red digital
indicates the set value “sv”; Green number indicates the temperature
measurement “pv”. The method is to press the triangle button at the
panel to change settings. Press the △ button or the ▽ button to
increase or decrease the temperature.
Notice:The temperature displayed on the meter is the temperature inside
the drying oven, other than the temperature of hot air at the outlet of the
drying oven.

5.1、Preparation
5.1.1、AddingLiquid:Turnofftheliquidpumpswitch.Openthemachine
left cabinet door. Add some liquid filtered into tank depending
upontheamountto be used. (It is permitted toadd 5-10%clean
waterandstirringthemixedliquid.Seeliquidfilminstructionfor
details.)
5.1.2、 Temperature Setting: Turn on the main switch (see Fig.2). Press
the△buttonorthe▽buttontosettemperature.Becauseliquid
film drying will be influenced by many factors such as ambient
temperature, dampness, property of liquid film, coated film
thickness, picture feed speed and the base-material of picture
etc., the temperature setting range is between 100℃-140℃. The
operatormayadjustthembyhisexperienceindifferentcases.Itis
recommendedthatthetemperaturecanbesetat110℃,thespeed
at30%whenoperatingthemachineatfirsttime.
Notice:Too lower a temperature may cause the picture distortion. Too
higheraspeedmaycausethepicturenotdrycompletely.

5.2、PlacingPictureonthemachine
5.2.1、Pasteapieceofleading paper(orcloth)about 1-1.5meterslong
andhavingthesamewidthwiththepicture(itisbettertousesame
material with the picture.) at each end of the picture to be
laminated.Thenrollthepictureonapapertube withthepicture
drawingoutward.Afterthis,putthepapertubeintotherollerfor
supportingthepicture.
5.2.2、 Lift up heating box, loose the positioning-wheel and pull up the
roller system for wiping liquid film. Paste the picture and paper-
tube on the roller for collecting picture together according to a
path,throughwhichthepicturepasses.Thenputdowntheroller
systemforwipingliquidfilm,andclampthepositioning-wheelat
twosides.
5.2.3、Movetheliquid-filmstopperstothetwoendsofthepicture,and
screwfirmlyasmallhandwheelattheliquid-filmstoppers.
5.2.4、Adjustthedamp-handwheel(seeFig.3)oftherollerforsupporting
thepicture,inordertoletthepicturestained.Thelaminatedfilm
willbeover-thicknessandwithoutdryingenoughifadampistoo
small.However,themotormaybedamagedifdampistoolarge.
5.2.5、TurntheDirectionSwitchofthecollectingrollerforpictureatits
upperposition“ F”tolettherollerforcollectingpicturerotatingin
clockwise.PresstheWork-State-SelectionSwitchofthecollecting
roller for picture, and turn the speed-adjusting button in
clockwisetoletthepicturestained
Notice:Whenthepicturemountedonthemachine,thetwosidesofthe
picture shall be parallel to its moving direction; otherwise, the picture
maydeviatefromthesettinglineduringlaminating.

time,theaxialfanisstillworkingtoreducethetemperatureinside
the heating-boxes and drying the liquid in the guiding paper (or
cloth).Notice:Aftertheheating-boxesstopwork,theaxialfanwill
stop work automatically after 2 minutes delayed. Please turn off
themainswitchaftertheaxialfanstopswork.
5.4.4、 Take the picture from the machine: Lift up the heating-boxes,
depart the picture from the guiding paper (or cloth). Press the
Direction Switch of the roller for collecting picture (Fig.4) at
position“ R”.Turnthespeed-adjustingbuttoninclockwise toset
the 100%. Press the Work-State-Selection Switch of the roller for
collecting picture (Fig.4) in order to take the laminated picture
fromthemachine.Youcanalsotaketherollerforcollectingpicture
fromthemachinetorollthepictureontheworktable.
5.4.5、EmergencyButton:Inthecourseoflaminating,Ifthetemperature
isfoundtoohigh(thismayburnthepicture),andwithoutanytime
tochangethetemperaturesettingvalue,youcanliftupthedrying
boxesorpresstheEmergencyButtontoturnoffthemachine.
5.4.6、 If it is found that the machine is with troubles, press the
emergencybutton(Fig.2)tocutoffpowersupply.
5.5、Servicesafterworking
5.5.1、Turnoffthepowersupply.
5.5.2、Retrieveliquidcollectedinthetray.
5.5.3、Cleanmachinecomponents:Cleanthewiping-rod,liquidstoppers
and theroller for coatingthe pictureintime withwet clothafter
laminating. In order to facilitate the cleaning work, loose the
positioning handwheels (Fig.6), and lift up the wiping roller
system.Putthembackintheirplaceforusingthemachineatnext
time.
Notice:Ifthemachineisnotusedforalogtime,emptyoutliquidfrom
thetankintotheoriginalcontainer,andwashthepipebetweentankand
valvetoavoidblockageduetosolidification.

5.3、Pre-heating
Pullthehandlesontheheating-boxes,andmaketheheatingoven
turn over upward. Press the“ ON” at the upper position of Heater
ControlSwitch,theindicatorwillbeon,theaxialfanofthedrying
oven will start to work. There is hot wind from the bottom of the
drying oven, and the drying oven will pre-heat for about 3-8
minutes.Themachinestartstoworkwhenthesettingtemperature
ismet.
5.4、LaminatingProcess
 5.4.1、 Turn on the liquid pump switch (Fig.4); open the valve for liquid
supply. Spread some liquid on the surface of the picture. (It is
bettertolettheliquidcontactthetwoliquidstoppers.)
5.4.2、PresstheDirectionSwitchofthecollectingrollerforpicture(Fig.4)
atitstheupperposition“ F”tolettherollerforcollectingpicture
rotatinginclockwise.PresstheWork-State-SelectionSwitchofthe
rollerforcollectingpicture,andturnthespeed-adjustingbuttonin
clockwise to 25%. Put down the drying oven, the picture start to
moveaheadtobegintolaminate.Duringlaminating,careshould
betakentoadjusttemperatureandspeedtoensurethelaminated
quality (the picture surface shall be dry and without distortion.).
Addsomeliquidintothetanktoavoidliquidrunout.Suggestions:
In order to obtain suitable temperature and speed setting values
andbefamiliarwithmachine'sfunctions,itisrecommendedthat
wecan use a testpieceof pictureinstead oftheusefulpictureto
avoidanylossduetofailureoperation.
5.4.3、 Stop Heating: Stop the liquid supply when the end of picture
enteringtheheating-boxes,andcleanoutthegluein theguiding
paper (or cloth) with wet cloth. Turn off the drying ‒box switch
(Fig.4) when the end of picture coming out of the heating-boxes,
and the indicator lamp will be out. The actual measured
temperaturewilldrop;theheating-boxeswillstopwork.Atthis

6.1、Connectthepowersupplywellandtheearthwireespecially.
6.2、 The power supply will be turned off when pressing the emergency
switch. If you want to continue to work, you need to turn on the
power supply again. Therefore, please don't touch the emergency
switchduringworkinordertoavoiddamageloss.
6.3、Becarefultoavoidhandswoundedwhenliftingthewipingrodand
dryingoven.
6.4、 The leading paper must be pasted straight, neat and flat on the
collecting roller for picture; otherwise it will be deviation from the
roller.
6.5、Thelaminatingspeedshallbesuitabletomaketheliquidfilmdrying
enoughtoavoidpictureadhesiveduetodryinginefficient.
6.6、 The liquid film is difficult to remove after it drying. Thus, it is
necessary to remove liquid retained on the wiping rod and the
frameswithwetclothatonce.
6.7、Thedryingovenisaheaterwithlargepower.Itisprohibitedthatno
oneisatworksitewhenthemachineworks.Itisstrictlyprohibited
that combustibles and explosive substance are put around the
dryingoven.Whenthedryingovenisheating,itisprohibitedtouse
combustible fluid such as alcohol and gasoline cleaning the drying
oven toavoid afire.Turnoff thepowersupplypromptlyoncea fire
occurs;usefireextinguishertoputoutthefire.
6.8、 The cooler will work 2 minutes after work finished to reduce the
temperature;Pleasedonotturnoffthepowersupplyatonce.
6.9、Checkabnormalsoundorfailureatonce.Donotturnonthemachine
beforeshootingtroubles.
6.10、Checkregularlywhethereachrotatingcomponentsrunningwell.In
some conditions, it is needed to dismounting for cleaning and
coatinglubricatinggrease.
6.11、 Turn off the power supply when checking and repairing the
machine.
6.12、Whenabnormalorfailureisfoundandyoucan'tshootthetrouble,
pleasecontactwiththemanufacturerassoonaspossible.

WARRANTY

7.1、 Eastsign hereby represents and warrants that the Machinery is manufactured
andassembledinaccordancewithapplicableregulations.
7.2、 The Machinery is guaranteed for a period of 15 months from the date on the
nameplateofmachine,exceptblanketandoildrum,Whenfilingtheeachclaim,
thebuyermustprovidedetailsofproblemandserialnumberwithclearpictures
orvideotocertifytheexistenceofthedefect.

7.3、Underwarrantyobligation,Eastsigncommits,atitschoice,torepairingand/or
replacingstructuralpartsandothercomponentsoftheMachinerythatmakeit
unsuitableforitsintendeduseorthatdecreaseappreciablyitsvalue,partswill
be provided free, the buyer will be responsible for the shipping cost. without
any further refunding obligation deriving from direct and/or indirect and/or
subsequent damage deriving to the Buyer or any third parties due to
Machinery's defects (as an example, product losses, damage to things or
people,etc.).
7.4、Onlyinurgentcases,whentheoperationalsafetyisriskedand/orwhenthereis
a fear of any disproportionate claims, which shall be immediately notify to
Eastsign, the Buyer is entitled to remedy the defect on its own or by third
parties, and it shall demand to Eastsign the reimbursement of expenses
incurredforthispurpose.
7.5、ThiswarrantyshallonlybevalidonconditionthattheBuyersendstoEastsigna
written notification within 10 days from the time of discovery as well as on
conditionthattheBuyerexpresslyrequiresaninterventionunderwarranty.
7.6、 If the machine is not under warranty, both parts and shipping cost will be
charged.
7.7、 Ifonsitetraining,installation andcommissioning or maintenanceisrequired,
airticket,accommodationandmealshallbeontheexpenseofBuyer.
7.8、Whenyoureceivedmachine,pleasekindlyregisteryourinformationonour

7.9、 Eastsign is not liable for any damaging consequences resulting from the
executionofrepairsontheMachinerywithoutitspriorapproval,executedby
theBuyerorbyathirdparty.
7.10、Thewarrantydoesnotapply,forexamplebutnotlimitedto:topartssubjectto
normal wear; to damages caused by improper or inadequate maintenance,
incorrect positioning, incorrect operations of the Buyer's personnel, use of
incorrectrawmaterials,faultyorcarelesstreatment,overexploitationofthe
devices;touseinanyapplicationotherthanthatforwhichitwasintended;to
subjecttomisuse,abuse,accidentaldamage,modification,improperwiring;
todamagesordeteriorationcausedor aggravatedbymissedinterruptionof
use of the machinery in case of technical problems or sudden change in
voltage or in processing temperature or excessive humidity power or any
othercausewhichdoesnotrelatetoEastsign.
7.12、 Thewarrantyloses allitseffectswhenany equipment ordevicesor supplies
notprovidedbyEastsignisinstalledontheMachinery,whentheMachineryis
modifiedwithoutthepriorwrittenapprovalofEastsign.mationonour
