Chapter 1. Introduction
1.1Description
Thank you for purchasing H series laminator. H series is the newly
developedpressureand high-speed laminatorin2016. In additiontothe
traditionalfunctionofcoldlamination,warmassistcoldlamination,auto-
peeling of liner paper and print take-up, it has the new function of
increasing the laminating pressure. The function can effectively improve
theoutputquality.Besides,smarterandpeople-orientedinnovationinthe
design concept and details will give you simple and relax lamination
experience.
Pleasereadthemanualcarefully,includingtheinstallation,operationand
maintenancetoensurethebestoutputandthelifetimeofthemachine.
Attention : All types of products are limited to use in the industrial
environment.

Chapter2.SafetyInstruction
Readthesafetyinstructionsandfamiliarizeyourselfwiththemainstructure,
performanceand operation measuresbeforestartingthe machine. Trainings
andexaminationisrecommendedwhenconditionrequires.Inthe operation
and maintenance, please be aware of the warning symbols on the machine
andproceedwithcautiontopreventhazardsandensuresafety.
Theoperatorshouldreadthemanualbeforeusingthemachine.
2.1WarningSymbols
A. Hand Anti-hot: The surface of roller could scald your hand or finger,
keepawayfromheatingroller.
B.Anti-chainPrick:Keepyourhandsawayfromchainandgear.Yourlong
hairandclothingwouldbecaughtintherollers.
C.Anti-handtrapped:thissafetynoticemeansthatyourfingersand
handscouldbetrappedandcrushedintherollers,clothingandlong
haircouldbecaughtintherollersandpullyouintothem.
D.Warming:Beattentionofhightemperature.
E.Anti-electricshock:Thissafetynoticemeansitishighvoltage,should
beturnedoffbeforeadjustment.
F.Emergencyswitch:Incaseofemergency,presstheredbuttontoshut
offtheelectric

2.2SafetyParts
2.2.1Emergency
Incaseofemergency,presstheredbuttontoshutofftheelectric,roller
stopped. Turn the button clockwise, the button will rise up
automatically. Press“on” from control panel, the roller can start to
rotate.
Note:Pleasepressthebuttonimmediatelywhenemergency!
2.2.2SafetySensor
Safetysensorlocatesinfrontofrollerandsupportshaft.Therollerstops
rollingwhen handsor objectgetclose tothe sensor. To run againthe
machine,turnontheswitchonthecontrolpanel.Inordertoprotectthe
operator, please check if the sensor is workable before running the
machine
Note:Thesensordoesn’tworkwhenyouusethefootpedal.
2.3SafetyNotice
2.3.1Theoperatorshouldreadthemanualbeforeusingthemachine
2.3.2Thepowersupplyshouldmatchthepowerconfigurationonthe
nameplate.Usethreeplugtoconnecttheelectric.Don’tchangethe
groundwiring.
2.3.3Besuretoturnoffthemainpowertoavoidelectricshockorother
physicaldamagetotheoperatorwhentwosidedoorsareopenedto
checkthemachine
2.3.4Thepowercordisnotallowedtoputongroundnorwithobjectontop.
2.3.5Thefacilityshouldbewellventilated.Keepthemachineawayfrom
water,wetplaceorexplosiveproducts.
2.3.6Toprotectthemachine,don’tputanypartsortoolsontheworking
tableandtopofsidecovertoavoidfallingintotheroller.

4.2FootPedal
Footpedalisanotherwaytocontrolthestartandstoprollerrotating.Step
onthefootpedal,pressthedirectionbuttontoadjustthespeed,thenthe
rollerruns,rollerstopswhenloose.
Note:Thesafetysensorcan’tbeusedwithfootpedaltogether.Pleasepay
moreattentiontoprotectyourhandsduringfootpedaloperation.

4.3Feedingtableandpressureplate
Feedingtableandpressureplateareusedtoputtensiononmediaand
parallelwithfilmedge.Feedingtablecanbepivotedupviathearm,and
thetensioncanbeadjustedbythespringinsideofframe.Thetableshould
bepivotedupwheninsertprints/laminationfilmorcleartheroller;
Pressureplateisremovable;itshouldbetakenawaywhenputtingmedia
in,andputbackafterpreparationwork.
Pressureplatetakenanduse:
Liftandtakeoffthepressureplate.Insertscrewintheholesofpressure
platetoputback.

4.4TopandBottomRoller
Topandbottomrollersarethekeycomponentofthelaminatorandthey
directly affect the quality of laminating and titled image. Both top and
bottom is silicon roller for this machine. The advantage is good heating
andacidandalkaliresistance;preventadhesionfromcoldlaminatingfilm.
Thebottomrolleriscontrolledbymotor,thetoprollerrotatedbyfriction
Notice:Don’tputyourhandsorfingerbetweentopandbottomroller,in
case,PressE-stop.
4.5Idlerbar&Castors
Theidlerbarisusedtosmooththefilmwhengothroughin‘ S’direction,
sothefilmisasflataspossiblebetweentherollers.
A Total four castors for this machine; they can be locked to prevent
movement.

4.6Unwind/rewindshafts
Fiveshaftsforthismachine,theyarefilmlinerrewind(A),filmunwind(B),
media rewind(C), media unwind (D) and backing paper unwind (E), they
areexchangeabletoeachother.Itismotorizedshaftforlinerrewindand
media rewind, non-power for film unwind, media unwind and backing
paper unwind. Take off the key from saddles then move out one side of
shaft.Forassembly,leftsidefirst,thedrivenendofeachshaftisslottedto
engageakey.Threerubberstripontheshafttoholdthepapertube.
ThefrictionwheelisA,B,C,D,E.Clockwiserotatingtoincreasethefriction,
anti-clockwise rotating to decrease the friction. Adjust the speed by
frictionwheeltogetgoodlaminatingresult.
4.7Temperature-measuring
Tempsensorisplacedbehindtoprollerontheright,whichcanbeupand
downtogetherwithtoproller.Itissensitive,small,light,easyinstallation
andcanbeusedlongtime.

4.8Pressurelimit
Thisdevicelimitthespaceofpressureplate.Inordertoprotectspeed
controller,thehandcrankisnotabletousewhenreachthelimitspace
whichmeansmaxrollerpressure.
Note:Itisadefaultposition,Donotadjust.

4.9Heater
One1300Wstainlessheaterinsidetheroller,Don’ttouchtheconnection
endincaseofelectricshock.OneTCOisinstalledinonesideofheaterto
cutoff theheatingincasethereissomethingwrongwiththeheaterifit
continuallywarmuptillalarmtemp.
Note:checkthenutsperiodically,ifitisloose,fastenitintimetoavoidthe
componentsbroken.Poweroffwhenchangingtheheater.

4.11Drivesystem
Filmunwinddrivelinertakeupthroughthesprocketwheel.Therunning
speed is different because the number of teeth of the two sprockets is
different,youcanadjustthetwobraketensionknobtochangethespeed
ratio.

4.10Linerdistancesensor
Linerdistancesensoristomeasuretherollerheightandthesignalwillbe
displayedonthecontrolpanelindicator,whichwillbeonwhentheroller
gotocertainheight.
Note:Itispresetbeforedelivery,pleasedon’tmakeanychangesduring
maintenance.

thevalueofspecification;Ifthebuttonsarenotpressedinminute,the
specificationsettingstatewillbeautomaticallyended.

Note:
Thespecificationsaresetbeforeshippingfromthefactory.Donotchange
thespecificationsatrandom.Itnormallytakes20minutesforthetop
rollertoreachthetemperatureof50℃.
Itisnormalthatthetemperaturedisplaydifferstheroomtemperature
whenstartheating.

5.1Note:
5.1.1Beforeunpacking,carefullycheckifthereisdamageforthepacking
andmachineduringtransportation.
5.1.2Afterunpacking,checkiftheservicepartsarecorrectasthepacking
list.
5.1.3Theinstallingplaceshouldbeprovidedenoughspaceforoperatingand
freeofdust,novapor,nocorrosivegas,nocombustibleorexplosive
substancearound.Keepthemachineawayfromwindblowingplace,
otherwisewillaffecttherollertemperaturewhichmightaffectthe
laminatingquality.
5.1.4Afterinstallation,adjusteachcastertoreachlevelground.Thecasters
onlybeusedonevengroundforshortdistancemovement.

6.1PowerConnection
6.1.1Powercable:Itwasinstalledthestandardpowersupplyplug,before
plugin,pleasecheckyourpowersupplyvoltageissameasthe
machine'sratedoperatingvoltage,alsoshouldverifytheaccesstothe
socketisinrequirements,andhaveagoodgrounding,andthecapacity
islargeenough.
6.1.2Mainswitch:Itisinstalledintherearofmachine(Coldseriesisthe
rockerswitch,andWarmseriesistheairbrakeswitch),theswitchhas
twopositions,uptoopen,downtoclose.
6.2Footpedal
Footpedalisanotherwaytocontrolthestartandstoprollerrotating.Step
onthefootpedal,pressthedirectionbuttontoadjustthespeed,thenthe
rollerruns,rollerstopswhenloose.Pluginandlockthescrewbeforeusing

6.3Emergencybutton
In case of emergency, press the red button to shut off the electric, roller
stopped. Turn the button clockwise, the button will rise up automatically.
Press“ on”fromcontrolpanel,therollercanstarttorotate.Theemergency
stopbuttonisanimportantsafetyfeatures,checkitsfunctionperiodically.
6.4Operationofroller
Openthehandleonthehandwheel(pic#1),rotateclockwisetoliftupthe
roller, anticlockwise to put down the roller. At the moment that up roller
against the bottom roller, the hand wheel feel loss. Continue rotating
anticlockwisetoenlargethepressbetweenrollers.Thepressurecontrolled
byoperatorbasedondifferentmaterialandspecification.
Note:Takeoffthehandcrankbeforeflippingup.Don’tflipdirectly.
6.5Functionshaftinstallationandusing
Easyinstallanddismantleshaftbyaligningthe“ I”bracket(see4.3).Three
rubberstraponeachshaftusedtofastenthepapertube.Put3”tubeonthe
shaft,thenrotatethepapertubetofixitontheshaft.

6.6.1Checkandreplacethefrictionpadinperiod,itisconsumableparts
6.6.2Frictionsystemformediaunwind:itiscombinedbybracket,metal
frictionpad,fiberfrictionpad,spring,springbracketandblackhandle.
Adjustpressureonspringbyrotatingthehandle.Whentheshaft
rotating,thekeyconnectsfiberfrictionpadandbrackettocreate
friction,theshaftrotatingcontrolledbyfriction.Thefrictionpadcreate
friction,thefrictionpadwillbewearandtearduringusing.Replacethe
frictionpadwhenfrictiondisappeared
Waystoreplace:takeoffthehandle,spring,fiberfrictionpad,metal
frictionpad,thenchangeanewmetalfrictionpad.
6.6.3Frictionsystemofmediarewind:itiscombinedbybracket,metal
frictionpad,fiberfrictionpad,spring,springbracketandblackhandle.
Adjustpressureonspringbyrotatingthehandle.Whentheshaft
rotating,thekeyconnectsfiberfrictionpadandbrackettocreate
friction,theshaftrotatingcontrolledbyfriction.Therewindshaft
controlledbymotor,atthesametime,rewindsprocketdrivenby
frictionrotation.Whentheshaftrotating,thekeyconnectsfiberfriction
padandbrackettocreatefriction,theshaftrotatingcontrolledby
friction.Thefrictionpadcreatefriction,thefrictionpadwillbewearand
tearduringusing.Replacethefrictionpadwhenfrictiondisappeared.
Waystoreplace:takeoffthehandle,spring,fiberfrictionpad,metal
frictionpad,thenchangeanewmetalfrictionpad.

6.7Adjustrollerparallelismandpressure
Topandbottomrollersarethekeycomponentofthelaminatorandthey
directlyaffectthequalityoflaminatingandtitledimage.Therollersare
parallelbeforeshipment.Therollerwillbeunparalleledduetotheshaking
intransportation.Followingbelowsteptoadjusttherollerparallelism.
6.8Adjustingthepressureoftheroller
6.8.1Theunbalancepressurefortopandbottomrollermaycausethetilted
andwrinklingproblem.Themethodofadjusting:
6.8.2Takearecordforthetiltedside.Turnoffthemachineandtakeoffthe
sidecover.Perindicatedonthephoto,rollerbearingsaddle(1)and
bearingblock(6)isconnectedbyonebolt,onwhichispressure
spring(3)andnut(2).Thereare2nutsforsettingpressure,thebottom
oneshouldbefastenedoncetheadjustmentisdone.
6.8.3Whentheimageistiltedonleftside,theleftsidepressuremustbe
biggerthanrightside.Adjusttheboltstoreducethepressure.Itshould
bepossibletokeepsameadjustmentforboltsonbothside.
Note:Measurethelengthfortwospringandkeepthesameheight.
6.8.4Whentheimageistiltedonrightside,theleftsidepressuremustbe
smallerthanrightside.Adjusttheboltstoincreasethepressure.
Note:checkthespringchangeswhenputmaxpressureonthemachine
afteradjustment.Ifnochange,itwillcausethespringdamageduring
laminating.Ifnoextraspacetoadjustonleftsidespring,pleasetryto
adjustonrightside.
6.8.5Afteradjustment,fastenthenuts.
6.8.6Putontheleftsidecover.
6.8.7Adjustmentprinciple:iftheimageisoff-trackingtotheleftside,the
pressureoftheleftsideishigherthantherightside.Loosenthespring
ontheleftsidetoreduceitsdeflection.

6.9RollerParallelismAdjustment
6.9.1Thegapis1-2mmbetweenbottomandtoproller,ifthegapisn’tthe
same,takearecordforthesmallergapside.Makethehandwheelfeel
loose,turnoffthemachine,opentheleft(right)sidecover.Loosethe
parallelnut(4),therollerwillbeupiftighteningdownthebottomnut,
thentightenthetopnut;otherwise,itwillbedown.
6.9.2Therollerisparallelbeforeshipment.Therollerparallelcan’tbe
changed.Pressureshouldbeadjustedfirstwhenhavethetilted
problem.Onlyadjustthelocationofthenutwhentherollerisn’t
parallel.Rollerpressureshouldbeadjustedaccordinglyafterchange
thelocationofthenut.
