Please read the instruction manual carefully, and follow the
instructions contained in them. Get to know the appliance , its
correct use and the safety instructions with the assistance of
these instructions for use.

This device is used to find wooden or metal studs through drywall boards.. It can
detect live wires.

Special Safety Instruction of use:
When using battery-powered tools, basic safety precautions, including the
following, should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, leaking
batteries, personal injury and material damage.
Never attempt to open the battery for any reason.
Do not store the battery in locations where the temperature may exceed
400C.
When disposing of batteries, follow the instructions given in the section”
protecting the environment”
Do not incinerate batteries.
Under extreme conditions, battery leakage may occur, when you notice
liquid on the batteries, proceed as follows: carefully wipe the liquid off
using a cloth.Avoid skin contact.
Protecting the environment
If you want to dispose of the tool yourself, the battery must be removed as
describe above and disposed of in accordance with local regulations. Place the
battery in a suitable packing to ensure that the terminals can not be
short-circuited. Take the batteries to a local recycling station.
General safety instructions
WARNING! When using electric tools, basic safety precautions,
including the following, should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire,
electric shock and personal injury.
Read all these instructions before operating this product and save these
instructions.
1. Keep work area clean.
- Cluttered area and benches invite injuries.
2. Consider work area environment.
- Do not expose the tool to rain. Do not use the tool in damp or wet locations.
Keep work area well lit. Do not use the tool where there is risk to cause fire or
explosion.
3 . Keep children away.
- Do not let visitors touch the tool or extension cord. All visitors should be kept
away from work area.
4. Store idle tools.
- When not in use, tools should be stored in a dry, high or locked up place, out of
reach of children.
6. Do not force the tool.
- It will do the job better and safe at the rate for which it was intended.
7. Dress properly.
- Do not wear loose clothing or jewelry, they can be caught in moving parts.
Rubber gloves and non-skid footwear are recommended when working outdoors.
Wear protecting hair covering to contain long hair.
8. Use safety glasses.
-Also use face or dust mask if the cutting operation is dusty.
9. Do not overreach.
- Keep proper footing and balance at all times.
10. Stay alert.
- Watch what you are doing. Use common sense. Do not operate tool when you
are tired.
11. Check damaged parts.
- Before further use of the tool, a guard or other part that is damaged should be
carefully checked to determine that it will operate properly and perform its
intended function. Check for alignment of moving parts, free running of moving
parts, breakage of parts, mounting and any other conditions that may affect its
operation. A guard or other part that is damaged should be properly repaired or
replaced by an authorized service centre unless otherwise indicated in this
instruction manual. Have defective switches replaced by an authorized service
facility. Do not use the tool if the switch does not turn it on and off.
12. Warning.
- The use of any accessory or attachment, other than those recommended in this
instruction manual, may present a risk of personal injury.
13. Have your tool repaired by a qualified person.
- This electric tool is accordance with the relevant safety requirements. Repairs
should only be carried out by qualified persons using original spare parts,
otherwise this may result in considerable danger to the use.
Operation instruction:
1. Installation of the battery
(1) Open battery door at the back of the unit.
(2) Attach a 9Volt battery to the connector.
(3) Put the battery into the compartment.
(4) Close battery compartment door.
2. Operational instruction
Caution should always be made when nailing, cutting or drilling in walls,
floors and ceiling that may contain these items. To avoid electrical, plumbing,
etc, remember that studs or joists are normally spaced 406mm or 610mm apart
and are 38mm in width. Anything closer together of a different width may not be
a stud, joist or rebar.
(1)Power on
Press the switch button and hold it to switch on the tool.
Release the switch button will turn off the tool.
It is suggested to place the tool against the detecting surface before switch on the
tool. Because when the tool is switched on, it will proceeds a self-calibration
procedure and get ready for operation.
(2)Calibration
When the unit is powered on, it will do the calibration procedure as follows:
Press the switch button and hold it, the green LED lights up. Hold the unit in
still position flat against the testing surface until a beep sounds that indicates a
good calibration. This process takes about several seconds.
After calibration the green LED remains lighting up.
(3) Scanning
After calibration has finished, slowly slide the unit across wall in a horizontal
direction. Make sure not to tilt or lift the tool.
When the lower red LED starts to light up, slow down and slide the tool further
until top red LED lights up and the tool beeps.
Mark this spot to indicate stud edge. Continue scanning beyond the marked spot
until all the red LEDs go out.
Then slide the unit in reverse direction to locate the other edge of stud in the
same manner. Mark this second spot. Center of stud is the middle between the
two marks.
After calibration has finished, slowly
slide the unit across wall in a
horizontal direction. Make sure not
to tilt or lift the tool.
As you begin to approach a stud, the yellow LED & red LED will lights up, and
peck at the stud edge. Mark this spot to indicate stud edge.
Continue scanning beyond the marked spot until the red LED go out then slide
the unit in reverse direction to locate the other edge of stud .Mark this second
spot.
Center of stud is the middle between
the two marks.
(4) Detecting Live Wires
The left side live wire red LED will illuminate, warning when in the proximity
from a live wire.
Warning: shielded wires or live wires in metal conduits, casings, metalized
walls or thick dense walls, will not be detected. Always turn AC power off
when working near wiring.
The sensor is designed to detect 110 to 230 volts AC in live electrical wires. It
will also detect the presence of live wires having greater than 230 volts.
(5) Low battery indication
The tool has low battery indication function. When the battery power is low, all
the red lights will start to blink, that reminds you to change new battery
otherwise it will affect the testing accuracy.
Important: when the tool is under calibration or in scanning operation,
always keep your finger in the grip area and when scanning keep the finger in
the same position as in calibration procedure. Do not touch the upper part of the
tool by all means.
Battery Replacement:
When the battery symbol appears in the display, replace the
meter’s 9V battery. Replace the 9V battery and close the battery
compartment cover.
You, as the end user, are legally bound (EU battery
ordinance) to return all used batteries, disposal in the
household garbage is prohibited ! You can hand over
your used batteries / accumulators are sold!
Disposal: Follow the valid legal stipulations in respect of
the disposal of the device at the end of its lifecycle.
