• Remove the appliance from the box.

• The MultiChef is a versatile cooking
appliance with 8 variable cooking
programs to cater for all your cooking
needs; Rice, Risotto, Roast, Slow Cook,
Boil, Steam, Fry and Bake.

When using electrical appliances, basic safely precautions should always
be followed.
• Check that the voltage indicated on the rating plate corresponds with that of
the local network before connecting the appliance to the main power supply.
• This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with
reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience or
knowledge. They should be given supervision and instruction in the use of
the appliance by a person responsible for their safely.
• Children should be supervised if using the appliance.
• If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced to avoid a hazard.
• Ensure that all parts are completely dry before lling the appliance with
cooking oil to avoid splatter.
• Do not overll.
• Exercise caution during cooking as the appliance will emit hot steam and
may spit out hot oil.
• Always dry food before frying to prevent the oil frothing or spitting.
• Take core not to touch the hot surfaces of the appliance.
• When cooking is nished ensure to switch off and unplug.
• Do not move the appliance until the cooking oil or liquid has cooled.
• Ensure that there is sufcient ventilation around the appliance to allow the
escape of heat and steam.
• Do not immerse the appliance in water or any other liquids.
• This appliance contains no user serviceable parts. All repairs should only
be carried out by a qualied service person. Improper repairs may place the
user at risk and will void warranty.
• Do not operate the appliance after a malfunction or if ~ has been dropped
or damaged in any way.
• Do not leave the appliance unattended whilst connected to the mains power
supply.
• This appliance must be unplugged from the power supply immediately after
use and whilst any maintenance such as cleaning is carried out.
• The appliance must be used on a stable, heat resistant surface.
• Do not use the appliance for any purpose other than that for which it is
designed.
• Ensure that the power cord is kept away from heat or sharp edges that
could cause damage.
• This appliance is intended for domestic use only. It should not be used for
commercial purposes.
• Do not use the bowl on a hob or any other heat source.
• Care should be taken not to drop the bowl as it may distort. If the bowl is
distorted MultiChef may not operate correctly as the bowl and heat element
have been designed to t securely.
• Wear protective clothing when using oil under extreme heat.

Explanation of buttons:
Menu Button: Press to select from 8 cooking programs
Delay timer Button: Press to set the delay timer.
Hour /Minute Button: Press to adjust cook time or the time clock.
Reheat Button: Press the ‘REHEAT’ [then start button] to warm or reheat food.
Stop/Cancel Button: Will cancel the cooking function.
Start Button: Activates your selected cooking program.
Cooking Time Adjustment: To be able to adjust the default cooking times within a selection of the
menu programs: press the ‘HOUR’ or ‘MINUTE’ buttons before pressing the ‘START’ button.
No time adjustments are available for RICE or RISOTTO (see cooking table on page 4).

MultiChef Quick User Guide 4.
1. Remove the accessories from inside the MultiChef. Plug the cord into the MultiChef. The power
socket inlet is located at the rear bottom right hand side. Ensure the cord is completely and
FIRMLY pushed into the MultiChef power inlet. Plug the 3 pin head into mains power electricity
outlet.
2. Adjust the LCD clock to your local correct time by holding down the “HOUR” and “MINUTE”
buttons.
3. Press the lid release button.
4. Press the “MENU” button to select the cooking program required. An arrow will appear alongside
the selected cooking program.
5. Press the “START” button to begin cooking. Note: If the “START” button is not pressed within 10
seconds of selecting the cooking program, the MultiChef will beep continuously. If you are not
ready to start cooking, press the “STOP/CANCEL” button to stop the beeping.
6. For some recipes it is recommended to allow heating of the inner pot for approximately 5
minutes with the lid closed, before commencing.
7. Prepare your ingredients and place into the inner pot and cook for the allotted cooking time.
8. After the cooking program is completed the MultiChef will automatically switch to the “KEEP
WARM” program for 4 hours. The counter will count upwards from zero.
9. Press the lid release button to open and serve.
WARNING: Be careful of hot steam when opening the lid. It is recommended to use oven gloves
when removing the inner pot..

TIP: If the MultiChef has reached a temperature greater than that required by the program you are trying to
select it will not allow the selection and will automatically switch to the ‘KEEP WARM” program. For example,
switching from the FRY program to the SLOW COOK program. This is a safety feature of the MultiChef.
Press the “STOP/CANCEL” button, OPEN THE LID and allow the MultiChef to cool down. Start again from the
beginning of the program instructions.

1. RICE PROGRAM:
Standard White Rice.
* Use the MultiChef measuring cup to measure out the rice and water.
• The recommended ratio is 1 cup of uncooked rice: 1 cup cold
water.
• The maximum rice capacity is 6 cups of uncooked rice.
• Transfer rice into the inner pot and add the appropriate ratio of
cold water.
• Press the ‘MENU’ button until the arrow appears next to RICE
program. Close the lid and press ‘START’.
• This program cooks rice in approximately 40 minutes, depending
on the quantity of rice and water being used.
• The cooking time will not show on the display screen until
approximately 12 minutes of cooking time is remaining.
2. RISOTTO PROGRAM:
• Press the ‘MENU’ button until the arrow appears next to RISOTTO
option. Close the lid and press ‘START’.
• This program cooks risotto in approximately 40 minutes,
depending on the quantity of rice and liquid being used.
• The cooking time will not show on the display screen until
approximately 8 minutes of cooking time is remaining.
3. ROAST PROGRAM:
• Press the ‘MENU’ button until the arrow appears next to the ‘ROAST’
program. A default time of 45 minutes will appear.
• To set cooking time press the ‘MINUTE’ or ‘HOUR’ button, then
press ‘START’.
HINT:
Pork rind will have the finished result
as that of bacon and not blistered
crackling
TIPS:
• Ifriceresultisnottoyour
personnel preference,
water adjustment is
required. For drier rice
reduce water quantity and
for moister rice, increase
water quantity.
• Athincrustofricemay
form on the rice base.
Wiping half a teaspoon of
oil over the base prior to
cooking may help reduce
this crust forming.

saucepan method.

4. SLOW COOK PROGRAM:
Use this program as you would a traditional slow cooker.
• Press the ‘MENU’ button until the arrow appears next to the ‘BAKE’
program. A default time of 2 hours will appear.
• To set cooking time press the ‘MINUTE’ or ‘HOUR’ button. Close the
lid then press ‘START’.
5. BOIL PROGRAM:
Use this program as you would a traditional sauce pan.
• Fill the inner pot with 3 Litres water (maximum).
• Press the ‘MENU’ button until the arrow appears next to the ‘BOIL’
program. A default time of 10 minutes will appear.
• To set cooking time press the ‘MINUTE’ or ‘HOUR’ button. Close the
lid then press ‘START’.
• The cooking time on LCD screen will be activated once the water
has reached a rolling boil. To reduce rolling boil time, pour warm
or hot water into the inner pot. It is your choice when you place
food into the inner pot.
6. STEAM PROGRAM:
Use this program as you would a traditional electrical steamer.
• Fill the inner pot with a minimum of 500ml water
(to avoid dry boiling).
• Press the ‘MENU’ button until the arrow appears next to the
‘STEAM’ program. A default time of 3 minutes will appear.
• To set cooking time press the ‘MINUTE’ or ‘HOUR’ button. Close
the lid then press ‘START’.
• Several minutes may transpire before cooking time countdown
appears on the LCD. During this period the MultiChef is reaching
the required steaming temperature.
TIP:
• Itisrecommendedtohavea
minimum of 2.5 Litres of food
in the inner pot to avoid unit
overheating.
• Searandbrownallmeatstoretain
flavours on the FRY program prior
to selecting SLOW COOK. Always
allow a few minutes for MultiChef
to readjust its thermostat when
switching to the SLOW COOK
program.

7. FRY PROGRAM:
Use this program as you would a traditional Frypan.
• Press the ‘MENU’ button until the arrow appears next to the ‘FRY’
program. A default time of 42 minutes will appear.
• To set cooking time press the ‘MINUTE’ or ‘HOUR’ button. Close
the lid then press ‘START’.
• Several minutes may transpire before cooking time countdown
appears on the LCD. During this period the MultiChef is
reaching the required frying temperature of the inner pot.
• To maintain maximum heat of the inner pot, keep the lid closed
during cooking. Only open lid when checking or turning food.
• Upon completion of frying, press “STOP/CANCEL” button as a
safety measure.
• For a shallow fry, the maximum oil volume is 1 Litre.
• The MultiChef is not designed for traditional Deep Frying.
8. BAKE PROGRAM:
• Press the ‘MENU’ button until the arrow appears next to the ‘BAKE’
program. A default time of 45 minutes will appear.
• To set cooking time press the ‘MINUTE’ or ‘HOUR’ button. Close
the lid then press ‘START’.
CAUTION:
Ensure the food you use for
frying is free of moisture or water
particles as this will reduce hot
oil splatter. During the frying
program, it is recommended
to use an oil splatter mesh
protector. Once food has been
removed ensure to turn unit OFF.

REHEAT FUNCTION:
• Press ‘REHEAT’ button. A default time of 25 minutes will appear.
• To set reheat time press the ‘MINUTE’ button, then press ‘START’.
KEEP WARM FUNCTION:
• The KEEP WARM function will start automatically after a cooking program time has
expired and will last for 4 hours.
• To manually activate the “KEEP WARM” setting press the ‘MENU’ button (start from
Rice setting) 8 times, then press ‘START’.
DELAY TIMER FUNCTION:
When using the DELAY timer there are three (3) things you need to establish:-
1. What time do I require the food to be ready?
2. Cooking time?
3. Ensure the LCD clock is the correct local time by pressing the ‘HOUR’ and ‘MINUTE’
buttons accordingly. Hold down buttons for more than 5 seconds to activate time
change.
• MultiChef can be programmed 24 hours in advance. However, please refer to your
local safety food regulations and practices.
• Select cooking program. Only RICE, SLOW COOK and STEAM programs can be
selected for delay.
1. Set cooking time by using the ‘HOUR’ and ‘MINUTE’ buttons.
2. Press ‘DELAY’ button.
3. Select ‘HOUR’ and ‘MINUTE’ buttons to enter the time you wish to have the food ready.
4. Press ‘START’
• The LCD will ash back and forth between the delay timer and the present time until
when the cooking program is activated.
Example of Delay Program:-
You wish to prepare a casserole for dinner this evening, which you intend to eat at
6pm (18:00). You wish to cook your casserole on the SLOW COOK program for 3
hours.
1. Press ‘MENU’ button and select the ‘SLOW COOK’ program.
2. Set the cooking time to 3 hours (3:00)
3. Press ‘DELAY’ button.
4. Enter nishing time of food as 18:00 (6pm), then press ‘START’ button.
Your food will ready to eat at 6pm tonight!

Where does the cord go? The cord receptacle is located at the rear bottom right hand side of
the unit.
Why is the unit not turning on? Ensure the cord is PUSHED FIRMLY into the unit – rm pressure is
required. Ensure electricity outlet is switched on.
What is that little plastic clip at the
side of the unit for?
This is a spoon holder.
What can I cook in the MultiChef? Whatever you can cook in a contact roaster, saucepan or frypan, you
can cook in the MultiChef.
Can I bake cakes in the MultiChef? Yes. You can bake directly in the inner pot.
What utensils should I use? Use only plastic, wooden or silicon utensils as to not damage the
inner pot. AVOID using metal utensils which will scratch the non
stick surface and void bowl warranty.
Are replacement pots and accessories
available?
Yes. Visit website www.easycook.com.au
MultiChef has switched to KEEP WARM
setting before cooking is completed.
If the unit has reached a temperature greater then the preset function
temperatures, MultiChef will automatically switch to KEEP WARM
function. This may happen if the liquid or food in the bowl is at a
minimum.
Press STOP and allow cooling for 10 minutes and start again.
What does the blue screen mean? The program has been started and is operating.
What does the green screen mean? This is the KEEP WARM program.
What does the orange screen mean? i) The Delay program has been selected
ii) An error has occurred due to overheating; an E2 sign will be
displayed. Disconnect from the power source and allow cooling down
and start again.
How do I set the clock? Ensure the power is turned on. Hold down the HOUR button or
MINUTE button until you adjust time.
How do I set the Delay Program? Ensure the clock on the MultiChef is correct, then follow program
guide in the Instruction Manual.
The food is over cooked. Reduce your cooking time.
The food under is undercooked. Increase your cooking time.
During the Slow Cook function, why
does it switch to KEEP WARM.
This is a safety feature of MultiChef. When the preset temperature of
the SLOW COOK function is surpassed, MultiChef switches to KEEP
WARM to reduce temperature to normal range. This can happen when
switching form a FRY to SLOW cook or if the volume and
liquid quantity in the bowl is not enough.
Is the MultiChef a deep fryer? No, the MultiChef is not designed to Deep Fry, however you can
shallow fry with a maximum of 1 Litre oil.
Once cooking time elapses, KEEP
WARM function is activated
This is normal. The MultiChef is programmed this way.

CARE AND CLEANING
• The condensation trap can be removed for cleaning.
• The silicon seal is not able to be removed.
• Discolouration of the condensation trap and silicon seal may occur from the cooking process.
• Non metallic utensils should be used to stir food to prevent damage to the inner pot’s non stick coating.
• Do not use the inner pot on any other heat source other then in the MultiChef.
• The inner pot is dishwasher safe
• Caution should be taken not to drop the inner pot as it may distort and reduce the correct operation.
WARRANTY
The MultiChef™ unit is covered by a 1 year (from the date of purchase) warranty against manufacturer’s fault,
only if supported by a proof of purchase from an authorized stockists. The warranty is non transferable
