• Topreventitfromfalling,installthebaseunitcorrectlywithanexpansionscrew.

CHARGING THE BATTERY
• Youcanchargethebatteryusingsolarpanel.
• Positiontheswitchto“AUTO”or“OFF”whenyouinstallthesolarpanel.
• Thesolarpanelshouldfacetowardsthesun.Ifthesolarpanelisdirtyitwillhinderandpreventthe
batteryfromchargingefciently.

PARTS
INSTALLATION
• Thesecuritylightshouldbesetupinalocationwhereyourequireadditionallightinginordertodetect
personsorobjectsthatmoveatnightorinthedark.
• Decidewhereyouwanttoplacethelamp(1)andsolarpanel(2).TheLightisequippedwith5metres
ofconnectingwiresotheLamp(1)andSolarpanel(2)canbeinstalledupto5metresapart.
• TheSolarpanel(2)mustbesetinalocationthatreceivesfull,directsunlightwithaminimumof8
hoursaday.Soweadviseputtingitonawallorroof.
• Mountthelamp(1)2to3metresabovegroundonasolidsurfacecapableofsupportingthelamp(1)
andsecureenoughsothatitwillnotmovewhenexposedtovibrationorwind.Theunitmustbehigh
enoughtoallowforthemotiondetectionandlightdistribution.
• Usingthemountingplateasatemplatemarkwherelampistobeinstalled.Secureinplacethe
mountingplatewiththemountingscrews(3)provided.
• Installthesolarpanel(2)inthesamewaythatyouinstalledthelamp(1).
• Carefullyroutethepowercordofthesolarpanel(2)tothelamp(1)andplugitintothebattery
housingoutlet(9).
• Adjustthemotiondetectorhead(6)belowthelightbymovingitleftorrightsothatitfacesthearea
wheremovementwilloccur.Moveitupordownbyusingthescrewlocatedontheneckofmotion
detectorhead(6).

OPERATION
• Beforethesecuritylightcanoperatetoitsfullcapacity,thesolarpanelneedstobeindirectsunlight
for3daystofullychargethebattery.Turntheswitchtothe“OFF”position.Aftercharging,turnthe
switchto“AUTO”or“ON”position.
• Turntheswitchtothe“AUTO”position,thelightwillturnonautomaticallyatnightwhenmotionis
detectedbythemotiondetectorhead(6).
• Turntheswitchtothe“ON”position,thelightcanthenbeusedasastandardlight.
PERSONALISE YOUR SECURITY LIGHT
Youcanchoose3waystousealtertheswitchunderthebatteryhousingofthelamp(1).
 OFFMiddleposition-whenyoudonotneedlight.
 AUTOLeftposition-lightturnsonautomatically(suitablefortheentranceofgarages,porches,
eavesetc.)
 ONRightposition-lightcanbeusedasastandardlight(suitableforcamping,shingetc)
HOW TO USE THE CONTROL KNOBS
• Thesecuritylighthas3differentcontrolknobswhichcontrolthelight’sduration,sensitivitytolightand
sensitivity to motion.
LUX (Light level)
• TheLUXadjustingknob(11)tellsthesensorthelevelofdarknessthatmustbereachedbeforethe
lightturnson.
• Ifsettothemaximumlevel,thelightwillgooninmostsituationsrangingfromdarktodaylight.
• Ifsettotheminimumsettingthesensorwillonlytriggerthelighttoturnonatduskorwhenitis
dark.Thisistheidealpositionforgeneraleveningandnightoperation.Ifthesecuritylightisnotin
operationatnightduetointerferencefromastreetlightorotherinterference,turntheLUXknob
towards.

TIME
• TheTIMEadjustingknob(13)setsthedurationoftimethatthelightshouldstaylitaftermotionisno
longerdetectedintheeldofvision.
• TheTIMEisadjustablefrom8secondsto2minutes.Adjustingtheknobclockwisewillmakeitstay
onlonger.
SENS (Sensitivity) (12)
• Minimumposition(idealforhotsummerconditionsorwhennuisancetrippingisaproblem).
• Midposition(normalsetting).
• Maximumposition(idealforcold,winterconditionsortomaximizerange).
Note: Themotiondetectorheadismostsensitivetomovementacrossthedetectionzone,ratherthan
movementtowardorawayfromthemotiondetectorhead(6).
  Ifthelightisover-activatedbysmallanimalsorrapidchangesinheat.
  Ifthelightismiss-operatedinhotsummerconditions,thesensitivitycanbereducedbyturningthe
knobcounterclockwisetowardstheminimumsetting.
MAINTENANCE
• Whenstoringyoursecuritylightindoorsformorethan2or3days,turntheswitchto“OFF”.Storethe
lightinadrylocationfreeofdustanddebris.Makecertainthatthelightisoutofreachofchildren.
• Thelightmustbefullychargedfor5daysandswitchedtothe“OFF”positionbeforestoring.Storing
thelightforprolongedperiodsmaydamagethelightordecreaseperformance.
• Keepthesolarpanelawayfromdirtanddebris.Adirtysolarpanelwillpreventthebatteriesfrom
charging.Cleanregularlywithadampcloth.
• Keepthesolarpanelfreeofdirt,dustandgrime.Dustcoveringthesolarpanelwillblockoutsunlight
causingadecreaseorhinderingtheefciencyofrechargingthebatteries.
BATTERY REPLACEMENT
• Thebatterypackislocatedinthebatteryhousing(5).
• Turntheswitch(8)tothe“OFF’position.Removethefourscrewsfromthebatteryhousing(5).
• Separatethebatterypackconnector.Removeoldbatterypack.Replaceonlywithanidentical
rechargeablebatterypack(14).
• Replacethecoverofthebatteryhousing(5).Secureitwiththefourscrews.
