thedateoforiginalpurchase.Seller’sobligationshallbelimitedtorepairingorreplacing,atitsoption,freeofchargefor
materialsorlabour,anypartwhichisprovednotincompliancewithSellersspecificationsorprovesdefectiveinmaterialsor
workmanshipundernormaluseandservice.SellershallhavenoobligationunderthisLimitedWarrantyorotherwiseifthe

LineHunt/RotaryGroups
ToallowyourEasyPBXsystemtocorrectlyhandleincomingcallsonmultiplelines,pleaseensurethatyour
telecommunicationsproviderhasenabledLineHuntoneachofyourincominglines.LineHunt,sometimesreferredtoasline
rotationorrotarylines,automaticallydirectscallsboundforabusylinetothenextfreeline.Withoutthisfeature,callerswill
encounterabusysignalifthelineassociatedwiththenumberdialledisalreadyinuse.
LineHuntDisabled
Eachlinefunctionsasanindependentnormalline.Ifanygivenlineisinuse,outsidecallerswillreceiveabusytonewhen
theytrytodialinonthatnumber.Forthisexample,ifacallerweretodialinonline1(0299991111),thiswouldtieupthe
lineanditsassociatednumber–anynewcallerswouldreceiveabusytoneonthatlineandbeforcedtodialeachofyour
numbersuntiltheyfoundonenotinuse.Thiscancauseobviousproblemsandisnotrecommendedforuseinthebusiness
environment.
LineHuntEnabled
Eachofyourlinesbecomespartofasinglehuntgroup–Asintheaboveexample,eachwillfunctionasnormalstandalone
linewhencalleddirectly.Howeverwithlinehuntenabled,onelineisdesignatedasyourmainlineanditsnumberiscarried
overtothehuntgroup.Thisisthenumberyouwouldthenadvertisetoyourcustomers.
Inthisexample,whenthemainnumber(0299991111)isdialled,thehuntgroupwillfirstattempttoringthefirstline(02
99991111).Ifthislineisalreadyinuse,thehuntgroupwillforwardthecalltothesecondline(0299991112).Ifthislineis
alsoalreadyinuse,thehuntgroupwillforwardthecalltothethirdline(0299991113)andsoon.Onlyifallfourlinesarein
usewillyourcallersreceiveabusytone.Inthisinstancemoretelephonelineswillberequired.

Simplefourstepinstallation
Step1–MounttheEasyPBXDigitalHub
Youshouldchoosealocationclosetoyourtelephoneline
socketsandapoweroutlet.Alsoconsiderwhereyouwish
toplacethetelephones,takingintoaccountthelengthofthe
phoneleadsprovided.
IfyouwishtowallmountyourEasyPBXsystem,threebutton
headscrewswillberequired.TheEasyPBXsystemhooks
overthetopofthesescrews.Pleaseseetheincluded
templateformountingpositions.
Step2–Connectyourincomingtelephonelines
Plugtheincomingtelephonelinesfromyourtelephonewall
socketsintotheEasyPBXmainunitusingthesupplied1.5m
cables.StandardEasyPBXunitssupportupto6incoming
lines,theseshouldbeconnectedintoportsT1toT6.PortsT7
andT8arenotconnectedandshouldnotbeused.
Ifthephonesocketsinyourpremisesareoftheolder606
type(seeillustration)pleaseusetheincluded606tomodular
adapters.

Step3–ConnecttheEasyPBXkeytelephones
Locatethesuppliedphonesandtheirhandsets.Connectthe
handsettothephoneusingthecoiledhandsetleadprovided.
Gentlypushthestraightpartoftheleadbetweenthe
retentiontabsonthebottomofthephone.
Connectthehandsetstothedigitalhubusingtheincluded
10m,20mand30mtelephoneleads.Theseshouldbe
pluggedintoportsL0toL3.Additionalhandsetsshouldbe
connectedfromportsL4onwards.
Step4–PoweronyourEasyPBX
FirstEnsurethatalloftheabovestepshavebeencompleted.
PlugtheEasyPBXdigitalhubintoapoweroutletandmove
themainpowerswitchtotheONposition.
ThefrontstatuslightontheEasyPBXmainunitshouldbegin
toflashandthetelephoneswillperformaself‐testbefore
poweringon.YourEasyPBXsystemisnowreadytomakeand
receivecalls.

Usingthetelephonehandset:
Toreceiveacallusingthehandset,simplypickupthesamewayyouwouldwhenusinganormaltelephone.Toselectfrom
multipleincomingcalls,pressthecorrespondinglinebuttonbeforeliftingthehandset.
Usingspeakerphone:
Toreceiveacallusingthephonesinbuiltspeakerandmicrophone,pressthe[SPKR]whenthereisanincomingcall;theline
willbeautomaticallyselected.Toselectfrommultipleincomingcalls,pressthecorrespondinglinebutton.
GlobalCallPickup
Globalcallpickupisusedtoansweraringingphoneatanunattendeddesk.Thisisgenerallyusedwhenanintercomcallis
ringingonanunattendedstation.Toactivateglobalcallpickup,simplyliftyourphonehandsetandpressthe[G‐UP]button
whileanotherstationisringing–thiswillautomaticallytransferandanswerthecall.

Call Features
CallHold
Placingacallonholdallowsyoutotemporarilydisconnectthepersonyouweretalkingtofromyourphone,whilestill
keepingthemontheline.Thishastheeffectofmutingthecallwhilealsoallowingyoutopickupthecallfromanother
handset.Thepersonyouweretalkingtoisnowbeingplayedbackgroundholdmusic.Thecallcanberetrievedfromany
handset.
Toplaceacallonhold,simplypressthe[HOLD]buttonmid‐
call.
Toretrievethecall,pressthecorrespondinglinebuttonas
indicatedbyflashingthegreenlight.
Topreventcallersbeingforgotten,afteroneminuteonholdthecallwillbereturnedtothephonethatlasthandledit.The
LCDwilldisplaythelinenumberfollowedby“Callback”.

Transferringacall
ThecalltransferfeatureallowsyoutopasscallsbetweenphonesconnectedtotheEasyPBXsystem,withouthavingtoplace
themonhold.
Totransferacall:
Whileacallisinprogress,pressthe[TRAN]button,youwill
bepresentedwiththetransfertoneandthepersononthe
linewillhearthebackgroundmusic.
Dialthestationnumberofthepersontowhichthecall
shouldbetransferred.
• Toperformablindtransfer,simplyhangupthe
phonehandset,thelinelightwillflashyellowuntil
thecallhasbeenanswered.Ifthecallrecipient
doesnotanswerduringthisperiod,thecallmaybe
retrievedbypressingthelinekey.
• Toperformanattendedtransfer,stayontheline.
Thestationyouaretransferringthecalltowillnow
beringing.Whentheuseranswers,youwillbe
connectedtothatstation.Thisgivesyoutheoption
ofcommunicatinginformationtothecallrecipient,
suchaswhothecallisfrom.Whenyouarefinished
hangupthephonehandset,thiswillautomatically
passthelinetothecallrecipient

Fastcallswitching
Fastcallswitchingallowsyou,whilealreadyonacall,tomakeasecondcallandquicklyswitchbetweenthetwo.Thiscanbe
usefulifyouareservingasabrokerbetweentwopartiesoryouneedtoquicklycontactaninstallerwhileonthephonewith
acustomer.Usingfastcallswitchingratherthanplacingthecallonholdalsopreventsotherusersfrompickingupyourcall.
Usingfastcallswitching:
Whileonacall,press[TRAN]–Youwillbepresentedwith
thetransfertonesandtheotherpartyisplayedmusic.
Nowpickupanotherlinebypressingthecorrespondingline
buttonbeforediallingthesecondnumber.
Pressingthe[TRAN]buttonwillnowtogglebetweenthetwo
calls.
Threewaycalling
Three‐waycallingallowsyoutoinviteathirdpersonintoyourcall,eitheranotherlocalphoneconnectedtothePBX,orany
othernumberthroughatelephoneline.
Pleasenotethatthree‐waycallingmustfirstbeenabled,see

formoreinformation.
Whenthreewaycallingisenabled,the
fastcallswitching
featurewillbehaveasathreewaycall.
Tostartathreewaycall:
Whileonacall,press[TRAN]–Youwillbepresentedwith
thetransfertonesandtheotherpartyisplayedmusic.
Toinvitealocalstation,dialthestationnumberandwaitfor
theusertopickup.Toinvitearemotetelephonenumber,
pickupalinebypressinganyunusedlinekey,dialthe
participant’snumberandwaituntiltheyanswer.
Oncethethirdparticipanthassuccessfullyconnected,press
the[TRAN]keyoncemoretobeginthethree‐waycall.
Pressingthe[TRAN]keyduringtheconversationwilltoggle
betweenthethreewaycallandeachparticipant.
Paging
CallpagingallowstheEasyPBXtofunctionasaPAsystem.Onephoneactsasthemicrophonewhiletherestbecome
speakers.Thiscanbeusefulforinformingemployeesofcallswhentheycannotbelocated.Whateverissaidintothe
handsetwillbeplayedoutofthespeakersofalltheotherphonesconnectedtothesystem.
Note:AnexternalamplifiercanbefittedtotheEasyPBXsystemtoallowforoverheadpaging.Forinformationregardingthis
