Overview
The PHT 810 can be used to measure
the pH value of a liquid.
Various sensors are available for different
applications.

Begriff...
... BNC-Steckverbindung
Eine BNC-Steckverbindung ist eine ko-
axiale Steckverbindung mit einem soge-
nannten Bajonettverschluss. Koaxial be-
deutet, dass sich um einen zentralen In-
nenleiter herum ein schlauchförmiger
Außenleiter befindet, der durch seine
Schlauchform eine abschirmende Wir-
kung besitzt. Ein Bajonettverschluss
funktioniert nach dem Prinzip „Aufstek-
ken - etwas dr ehen (meist ca. 90°) - ver-
bunden“.
... pH-Wert
Der pH-Wert ist ein Maß für die Was-
serstoffionenkonzentration in einer Lö-
sung. Der Wert wird als negativer Zeh-
ner-Logarithmus (=10-pH ) angegeben.
Saure Lösungen haben pH-Werte<7,
basische Lösungen haben pH-Werte>7.
„pH“ leitet sich ab von pondus Hydroge-
nii (lat.: pondus = Gewicht, hydr ogeni-
um = Wasserstoff).
... Pufferlösung
Eine Pufferlösung fängt Verschmutzun-
gen mit Säuren oder Basen ab, ohne
dass sich ihr pH-Wert wesentlich ändert.
Im Idealfall bleibt daher der pH-W ert in
einer Pufferlösung konstant, auch wenn
eine Säure oder Base hinzugegeben
wird (z. B. durch das Eintauchen eines
mit einer Säure oder Base benetzten
Messfühlers).

iontů vodíků v roztoku.
Hodnota je definována jako.
Záporně vzatý 10 logaritmus(=10-pH).
Kyselé roztoky mají pH hodnotu < 7;
alkalické roztoky mají pH hodnotu > 7.
„pH“ pochází z „ pondus Hydrogenii
(lat.: pondus = váha, hydrogenium =
vodík).
... Tlumivý roztok
Tlumivý roztok vztřebává kontaminanty
s kyselinami nebo zásadami bez
podstatné změny hodnoty pH.
Proto pH tlumícího roztoku zůstává
ideálně stejné i po přídání kyseliny
nebo zásady. (např. ponořením
sezoru pokrytého kyselinou nebo
zásadou).

What is the meaning of
the term...
... BNC connector
A BNC connector is a coaxial connector
with a so-called bayonet nut. Coaxial
means that an inner conductor is
surrounded by a hose-shaped outer
conductor , which has a shielding effect
due to its shape. A bayonet nut operates
according to the principle „put on - turn
slightly (usually approx. 90°) –
connected“.
... pH-value
The pH value is a measurement for the
concentration of hydrogen ions in a
solution. The value is stated as a
negative base 10 logarithm (=10-pH).
Acidic solutions have pH values < 7;
alkaline solutions have pH values > 7.
„pH“ comes from „ pondus Hydrogenii
(lat.: pondus = weight, hydrogenium =
hydrogen).

A buffer solution absorbs contaminants
with acids or bases without a material
change in the pH value. Therefore the pH
value of a buffer solution ideally remains
constant, even when an acid or base is

sensor coated with an acid or base).

... Connecteur BNC
Le connecteur BNC est un connecteur
co-axial pourvu d’une fermeture ŕ
baďonnette. La notion de co-axiale veut
dire qu’autour du conducteur central
interne se trouve un conducteur externe
en forme de tube, qui grâce ŕ sa forme
possčde un effet protecteur. La fermeture
ŕ baďonnette fonctionne selon le principe
du « monter- visser (normalement ŕ 90 °)
- connecté ».

Le pH mesure la concentration des ions
d’hydrogčne dans une solution. La valeur
est déterminée en logarithme décimal
négatif (=10-pH). Les solutions acides
ont des pH de <7, les solutions basique
des pH de >7. „pH“ vient du terme
pondus Hydrogenii (lat.: pondus = poids,
hydrogenium =hydrogčne).
... Solution tampon
Une solution tampon attrape les salis-
sures ŕ l’aide de bases ou d’acides,
sans que le pH change de maničre
notable. Dans le cas idéal, le pH de la
solution tampon reste constant, męme
si l’on y ajoute un acide ou une base
(p.ex. par l’immersion d’un capteur
recouvert d’un acide ou d’une base.)

Sollten Sie Grund zu einer Beanstan-
dung haben, nehmen Sie bitte mit
uns Kontakt auf. Unsere Kontaktda-
ten finden Sie auf der Umschlag-Rück-
seite.
Gerät ein-/ausschalten
u Um das Gerät einzuschalten, drücken
Sie die Taste »ON/HOLD«.
Nach wenigen Sekunden (Selbsttest) ist
das Gerät messbereit und zeigt bereits
den aktuellen pH-Wert an.
Links oben im Anzeigefeld erscheint ein
kleines Batteriesymbol, das den Lade-
zustand der Gerätebatterie anzeigt (sie-
he Seite 32).
u Um das Gerät auszuschalten, drük-
ken Sie so lange (mehrere Sekunden
lang) die Taste »ON/HOLD«, bis „OFF“
auf der Anzeige erscheint.
Wird das Ausschalten vergessen, dann
schaltet sich das Gerät - sofern nicht
anders eingestellt (siehe Seite 18) - nach
zwei Betriebsstunden automatisch aus,
um die Batterie zu schonen.

v levém horním rohu obrazovky.

Pro vypnutí přístroje podržte
»ON/HOLD« tlačítko po několik vteřin
dokud se nevypne display přístroje.
Pokud zapomenete přístroj vypnout.
vypne se autojmaticky – po dvou
hodinách pokud toto nastavení
neupravíte (viz. strana 18).

emps (pendant plusieurs secondes) sur
la touche »ON/HOLD«, jusqu’ŕ ce que
„OFF“ apparaisse sur l’écran.
Si l’on oublie d’éteindre l’appareil, il
s’éteint – si il n’a pas été programmé
autrement (voir page 18) – automatique-

vice is ready to take measurements and
already displays the current pH value.
A small battery symbol that shows the
remaining charge in the device battery
(see page 32) appears at the top left of

u To turn the device off, press the »ON/
HOLD« key until „OFF“ appears on the
display (several seconds).
If you forget to turn off the device it will
turn off automatically – provided this
setting has not been modified (see page
18) – after two hours of operation to con-
serve the battery.

Messung durchführen
Um höchste Messgenauigkeit zu errei-
chen, müssen Sie vor jeder Messung
des pH-W ertes die Temperatur des
Messgutes feststellen und am Gerät ein-
stellen.
Temperatur einstellen
u Drücken Sie kurz die Taste »CAL«.
Drücken Sie die Tasten oder , bis
die tatsächliche T emperatur des
Messgutes auf dem Anzeigefeld an-
gezeigt wird.
Drücken Sie die Taste »ON/HOLD«.
Messvorgang durchführen
Tauchen Sie den Messfühler in das
Messgut und lesen Sie den angezeig-
ten pH-Wert ab.
Erscheint im Anzeigefeld die
Meldung »HI«, oder »LO«, dann
schauen Sie bitte auf die Seite
32, „Was tun, wenn...“.

Momentanen Messwert

Um eine Veränderung des Messwertes
besser zu erkennen, können Sie den
momentanen Messwert auf der Anzei-
ge festhalten.
u Um den momentanen Messwert auf
der Anzeige festzuhalten, drücken Sie
die Taste »ON/HOLD« einmal kurz.
Unter dem aktuellen Messwert erscheint
nun eine zweite Anzeigezeile. Darin be-
findet sich links der Schriftzug HOLD,
rechts daneben der festgehaltene pH-
Messwert.
Der Messwert in der oberen Anzeige-
zeile wird laufend weiter aktualisiert
(Messtakt siehe Seite 20, „Rate“).
Der festgehaltene pH-Messwert wir d so
lange angezeigt, bis Sie die Taste »ON/
HOLD« erneut drücken.

Uložení naměřené
Aby byly změny v měřených hodnotách
lépe rozeznatelné, je možné uložit
aktuální hodnotu zobrazovanou na.
Aby bylo možné hodnotu uložit

Storing the currently
measured value
In order to better recognize changes in
the measured value, you can store the
current value on the display.
u In order to store the currently
measured value on the display, briefly
press the »ON/HOLD« key one.
A second display line now appears
underneath the currently measured value.
This contains the label HOLD and, to the
right of this, the stored pH value.
The measured value in the upper display
line is still continuously refreshed (see
page 20, „Rate“, for the refresh rate).
The stored pH value is retained until you
press the »ON/HOLD« key again.

Geräteeinstellung ändern
Sie können einstellen,
- ob das Gerät die Temperatur in
°Celsius oder °Fahrenheit anzeigt,
- ob die automatische Geräte-
abschaltung aktiviert ist oder
nicht und
- wie oft der Messwert aktualisiert
werden soll (1 bis 15 Sekunden).
Um die Geräteeinstellung zu ändern,
müssen Sie das «User-Menü» aufrufen.
Gehen Sie dazu folgendermaßen vor:
Voraussetzung: Das Gerät ist aus-
geschaltet.
u Drücken und halten Sie die Taste
»ON/HOLD« so lange, bis die Zei-
chenfolge »PHT« im Anzeigefeld er-
scheint.
u Drücken und halten Sie nun die Taste
»CAL« so lange, bis die Zeichenfolge
»USER« erscheint.
Das Gerät befindet sich nun im Konfi-
gurationsmodus und zeigt das «User-
Menü» an. Dies besteht aus den Menü-
punkten »UNIT«, »SHDWN« und
»RATE«.
Mit der Taste blättern Sie zum näch-
sten Menüpunkt.
Mit der Taste blättern Sie zum vor-
hergehenden Menüpunkt.
Mit der Taste »CAL« ändern Sie den
Wert.
Es bedeuten:
