1.1 Important Remark
The lightning flash with arrowhead symbol, within an equilateral triangle, is
intended to alert the user to the presence of uninsulated “dangerous voltage”
within the product’s enclosure that may be of sufficient magnitude to constitute
a risk of electric shock to persons.
The exclamation point within an equilateral triangle is intended to alert the user
to the presence of important operating and maintenance (servicing) instructions
in the literature accompanying the appliance.
WARNING (If applicable): The terminals marked with symbol of “ ” may be of sufficient
magnitude to constitute a risk of electric shock. The external wiring connected to the terminals
requires installation by an instructed person or the use of ready-made leads or cords.

1.2 Important Safety Instructions

5. Do not use this device near water.

7. Do not block any ventilation

the manufacturer’s instructions.

9. Do not defeat the safety purpose of
the polarized or grounding type
plug. A polarized plug has two
blades with one wider than the
other. A grounding type plug has
two blades and a third grounding
prong. The wide blade or the third
prong are provided for your safety. If
the provided plug does not fit into
your outlet, consult an electrician for
replacement of the obsolete outlet.
10. Protect the power cord from being
walked on or pinched particularly at
the plugs, convenience receptacles,

14. Disconnecting from mains: When
switching off the POWER switch, all
the functions and light indicators of
the unit will be stopped, but fully
disconnecting the device from mains
is done by unplugging the power
cable from the mains input socket.
For this reason, it always shall
remain easily accessible.
15. Equipment is connected to a socket-
outlet with earthing connection by
means of a power cord.
16. The marking information is located
at the bottom of the unit.
17. The device shall not be exposed to
dripping or splashing and that no
objects filled with liquids, such as
vases, shall be placed on device.
1.3 Cleaning
Clean the unit with a soft, dry clean cloth or slightly wet with water and neutral liquid
soap only, then dry it with a clean cloth. Be careful that water never gets into the unit through
any hole. Never use alcohol, benzine, solvents or abrasive substances to clean this unit.

3. DESCRIPTION & FEATURES
VEO-MXH88D is an 8x8 HDMI 2.0 matrix designed to handle high-quality video and audio
signals. It supports up to 4K/UHD video resolution at 60 Hz with 4:4:4 chroma sampling. VEO-
MXH88D offers 8 analogue audio inputs and 16 analogue and digital audio de-embedding
outputs, allowing for flexible audio management. The device features EDID management,
which ensures optimal compatibility between connected devices, an LCD display and an
integrated WebGUI, providing a user-friendly interface for configuration and control of the unit
as well as, multiple other options for addressing HDMI sources, including the frontal panel's
selection buttons, serial commands, TCP/IP, and IR (infrared) control. The VEO-MXH88D is
compliant with HDCP 2.2 and 1.4. This makes it suitable for professional applications that
require secure handling of video and audio signals. Furthermore, supports for up to 8 presets
allows for quick and convenient recall of specific configurations.

5. START-UP & OPERATION
The unit can be controlled and configured by following the steps indicated below.In
addition, if you prefer, it can also be configured by the WebGUI.
5.1 LCD Display control menu
•To operate through the different menus, please use:
oUP/DOWN buttons of the front panel or ▲/▼buttons of the Remote Control to select
the item.
oENTER button of the front panel to accept or ►button of the Remote Control. The
selected item will be highlighted in white.
oMENU button of the front panel to go back or ◄button of the Remote Control.
•Display Information
1. At the top of the screen, all the menus and submenus you have selected to reach the
current screen are displayed. It is very useful to always know which menu you are in.
2. Numbers on the left side of the screen: the first digit indicates the current position of
the selected item among the total available items for the selected menu. The second
digit indicates the total available items for the selected menu.
3. Numbers on the right side of the screen: the first digit indicates the current position
of the selected option among the total available options for the selected item. The
second digit indicates the total available options available for the selected item.
4. Selected Menu or item will be highlighted in white.
5. The @ symbol appears next to the selected option value as a confirmation of the
selection.

5.2 Video Switching Control
The signal switch includes 8 free switching channels, which can be configured as
input/output according to the requirements, forming a matrix of 1 x 8 ~ 8 x 1, which can switch
any input. Signal to 1 channel output or all channel output.
•To switch input channel to the output, select the "output channel" + "input channel".
1. Press the desired output channel selection.
2. Press the desired input channel that you want to associate with the selected "output
channel".
•To assign an input channel to more than one output channel, follow these steps:
1. Press one by one the output channels that you wish to perform a switch on.
2. Press the desired input channel that you want to associate with the selected output
channels.
•To assign an input channel to all output channels, follow these steps:
1. Long press any output channel.
2. Press the desired input channel that you want to associate with all output channels.
Or
3. Long press the desired input channel that you want to assign to all the output
channel.
Examples:
•Switch output 1 to input 4
Operation: press output1 and then input4 to complete switch
•Output 2, 1, 3 switch to input 2
Operation: press output 2, 1, 3 and then input 2 to complete switch
•All output switch to input 4
Operation: long press any output and then long press input 4 to complete
switch.
If time between pressings exceeds 10s, it will be necessary to press output button
again.

5.3 Output Signal Control
This section allows to control the Output signal (Audio or Video) of each one of the 8 output
signals.
5.3.1 Output Video Control
This section allows to operate the output video features of each one of the 8 output signals.
5.3.1.1 Switching
Switch any output to one input or switch all outputs to one input. By default, 8×8 matrix,
8 inputs and 8 outputs, one to one output.
1. Select “Output” in the menu and press “ENTER”.
2. Then use “UP/▲or DOWN/▼”button to select “output 1~8” or “All”(“All” means
all outputs). The selected output will be highlighted in white.
3. Press “ENTER” enter next page.
4. Press “UP/▲or DOWN/▼”button to select “Video”, press “ENTER”.
5. Press “UP/▲or DOWN/▼”button to select “Source”, press “ENTER”.
6. Press “UP/▲or DOWN/▼”button to select “Input 1~8”, press “ENTER”.Switch is
done.

5.3.1.2 On/Off
Video signal can be switched on and off on any output selected. By default, the output
video is set to be active.
1. Select “Output” in the menu and press “ENTER”.
2. Then use “UP/▲or DOWN/▼”button to select “output 1~8” or “All” (“All” means
all outputs). The selected output will be highlighted in white.
3. Press “ENTER” enter next page.
4. Press “UP/▲or DOWN/▼”button to select “Video”, press “ENTER”
5. Press “UP/▲or DOWN/▼”button to select “Onoff”, press “ENTER”.
6. Finally, press “UP/▲or DOWN/▼”button to choose “On” or “Off”, and press
“ENTER” to confirm your choice.

5.3.2 Output Audio Control
This section allows to operate the output audio features of each one of the 8 output
signals.
1. Select “Output” and press “ENTER”.
2. Press “UP/▲or DOWN/▼”button to select “Output1~8” or “All”(“All” means all
outputs). The selected output will be highlighted in white.
3. Press “ENTER”.
4. Press “UP/▲or DOWN/▼”button to select “Audio”, press “ENTER”.
5. Press “UP/▲or DOWN/▼”button to select the item you want to adjust.
A. HDMI
B. Analog
C. SPDIF
D. ARC: Audio Return Channel. Off by default.
6. Press “ENTER”.
7. Press “UP/▲or DOWN/▼”button to choose “On”or “Off”, and press “ENTER”to
confirm your choice.
8. Press “MENU”, to return to the previous menu, and then press “UP/▲or
DOWN/▼”button to select the other items and proceed in the same way as
explained above.
9. The @ symbol appears next to the selected value as a confirmation of the
selection.
5.3.3 HDMI audio
HDMI audio support PCM2.0-7.1/32-192KHZ/16-24bit, Dolby/DTS/Dolby Atmos/DTS-
HD, and maximum 7.1 channels, but the supported audio format, channel, and sampling rate
depend on the EDID.

5.3.4 Audio extraction
Analogue audio only support PCM2.0, 32-192KHZ, 16-24BIT; S/PDIF audio output support
PCM/Dolby/DTS, 32-96KHZ, 16-24bit, maximum 5.1 channels
•Analogue audio extraction
oWhen the 8×8 matrix is selected for one-to-one output, the analog audio output
can only output the audio of the port.
oWhen the HDMI output port is muted, coaxial and analog audio output will not be
affected.
oAnalog audio only support PCM2.0, otherwise Auto-Mute.
oAnalog audio left and right channels cannot be reversed output.
oAnalog audio will Auto-Mute when digital audio input.
•SPDIF audio extraction
oWhen the 8×8 matrix is selected for one-to-one output, the coaxial audio output
can only output the audio of the port.
oWhen the HDMI output port is muted, coaxial and analog audio output will not be
affected.
5.3.5 Audio embedded
8×Analogue audio support embedded, LINE IN1~8 correspond HDMI IN1~8;Analogue
audio only support PCM2.0 format audio. After the audio embedding function is turned on,
embedded audio can be output through HDMI/analog/SPDIF ports.
5.3.6 ARC audio
Supports output 1~8 audio transmission back to SPDIF 1~8 and PCM/DTS/DOBLY audio
format.
HDMI source and TV both need support CEC, TV also need support ARC. You need
to turn on the TV and HDMI source CEC and ARC functions.
1. Connect the HDMI source to the TV.
2. Connect the HDMI ARC port to the output 1-8.
3. Use a coaxial cable to connect the power amplifier to SPDIF port (correspond HDMI ARC
output).
4. Turn on device's ARC function by panel button/command/WEB.

5.4 Input Signal Control
This section allows to operate the input signal features of each one of the 8 input signals.
1. Select “Input” and press “ENTER”.
2. Press “UP/▲or DOWN/▼”button to select “Input1~8”· or “All”(“All” means all
inputs). The selected input will be highlighted in white. Press “ENTER”.
3. Press “UP/▲or DOWN/▼”button to select “Video”, press “ENTER”.
4. Press “UP/▲or DOWN/▼”button to select the item you want to adjust.
A. Video: Select Yes or No to turn on/off input video settings.
B. Audio: allows to select:
oSource: To choose HDMI input audio or ENC (Audio Insertion).
oOnoff: to choose On or Off input audio.

This parameter allows to manage EDID settings.
Default 1:

4K@30Hz 444-LPCM: 2.0, HDR:None
Default 4:

The default EDID is “Default1”.
1. Press “UP/▲or DOWN/▼”button to adjust the selected item according
to your choice.
2. Press “MENU”, to return to the previous menu, and then press “UP/▲or
DOWN/▼”button to select the other items. Press “ENTER”.
3. Press “UP/▲or DOWN/▼”button to adjust the selected item according to
your choice.
4. The @ symbol appears next to the selected value as a confirmation of the
selection and EDID details (Name, Max resolution, audio format,
soundtrack) will appear next to the chosen option.

5.5 Preset Scene Settings
This section enables to save Video, Audio, EDID and System settings into 8 different presets
to effectively manage and customize your own settings.
Following actions can be performed for each preset:
•Clear: Delete a saved preset to free up the preset slot for future use.
•Save: Save the current state of video, audio, EDID, system settings, etc., as a preset. You
can save up to 8 presets.
•Call: Recall a previously saved preset to restore the saved state of video, audio, EDID,
system settings, etc.
Presets can be selected or changed by Front Panel buttons or by WebGUI.
The default preset is same as the factory setting (PTP).
1. Select “Preset”, press “ENTER”, then select the preset Scene interface.
2. To recall a preset, choose "Call" and select the desired Preset1~8. Press "ENTER"
to confirm.
3. To save the current configuration as a preset, select "Save" and choose one of the
Preset1~8 options. Press "ENTER" to save.
4. To clear a preset and restore it to the default settings, select "Clear" and choose
the desired Preset1~8. Press "ENTER" to confirm.

5.6 Configuration
This section allows to set the device's Network parameter, RS-232 baud rate, LCD screen,
Menu, User EDID and System parameters as well.
A. Network
Allows to set following Network parameter settings:
•DHCP: Off (Static) by default. After turning on (Dynamic), IP/MASK/GW are unable
to set.
•IP: IP address by default 192.168.1.168
•MASK: by default, 255.255.255.0
•GW: by default, 192.168.1.1
•PORT: TCP&UDP port, by default TCP 5000, UDP 5001.
•DNS: by default, 144.144.144.144 (unalterable).
•MAC: display the Mac address.
To set each one of the Network parameters:
1. Select “Config”, press “ENTER”.
2. Press “UP/▲or DOWN/▼”button to select “Network”, press “ENTER”.
3. Press “UP/▲or DOWN/▼”button to select:
•DHCP: can choose between “Yes/No” to turn on/off DHCP.

B. RS-232
Allows to change device’s baud rate.
•Baud: device’s baud rate provide 6 choices, 115200, 57600, 38400, 19200, 9600,
4800. The device is 115200 by default.
•Data/Stop/Parity: is used only for view and cannot be changed unless use the
highest account.
Data/Stop/Parity are used for checking only and they cannot be set. The
underscore show that these parameters cannot be set.
1. Select “Config”, press “ENTER”.
2. Press “UP/▲or DOWN/▼”button to select “RS-232”, press “ENTER”.
3. Press “UP/▲or DOWN/▼”button to select “Baud”, press “ENTER”.
4. Press “UP/▲or DOWN/▼”button to select Baud rate you need, press “ENTER”.

C. LCD
Allows to set LCD screen's Bright and Screen rest time.
Bright is 8 by default and Screen rest time is 30S by default.
1. Select “Config”, press “ENTER”.
2. Press “UP/▲or DOWN/▼”button to select “LCD”, press “ENTER”.
3. Press “UP/▲or DOWN/▼”button to select “Bright” or “Time”. Press “ENTER”.
4. Press “UP/▲or DOWN/▼”button to adjust the selected item according to your
choice.
The higher the brightness level is, then greater the brightness and
opposite, the lower level, then smaller brightness.
5. Press “MENU”, to return to the previous menu, and then press “UP/▲or DOWN/▼”
button to select the other item. Press “ENTER”.
6. Press “UP/▲or DOWN/▼”button to adjust the selected item according to your
choice.
7. The @ symbol appears next to the selected value as a confirmation of the
selection.

Allows to set following menu settings:
•Time: No next operation within 30s and return to the channel interface.
•Select-run: Disabled by default. If you select this option, it is not necessary to press
"ENTER" to confirm the option chosen.
•LV-Read: this option is not operative in this device.
1. Select “Config”, press “ENTER”.
2. Press “UP/▲or DOWN/▼”button to select “Menu”, press “ENTER”.
3. Press “UP/▲or DOWN/▼”button to select “Time”, “Select-run” or “LV-Read”.
Press “ENTER”.
4. Press “UP/▲or DOWN/▼”button to adjust the selected item according to your
choice.
5. Press “MENU”, to return to the previous menu, and then press “UP/▲or DOWN/▼”
button to select the other items. Press “ENTER”.
6. Press “UP/▲or DOWN/▼”button to adjust the selected item according to your
choice.
