1. DESCRIPTION / USE
The recycling air box allows the extraction of the chemicals vapors contained in the cabinet. They are purified during their
transit through the activate coal filter, and then rejected in the atmosphere without any risk for the environment. The
filtration system is tested and compliant to the standard NF X 15-211.
2. TECHNICAL FEATURES
Compliance :
▪The adsorption capacity of the activate coal filters and the filtration system are tested and compliant to the
standard NF X 15-211 –May 2009
▪The electric fan is compliant with the CE specifications
Technical features :
▪Equipment without civil engineering, simple setup and aesthetic
▪Light indicator for the efficiency of the filtration system
▪Window for the control of the presence of the filter
▪Activate coal filter with high efficiency, specialized and treated according to the stored products, tested to the
standard NF X 15-211- May 2009
▪Dust filter, efficiency at 92% of the particles > 3 µm
▪Hour counter, continuously indicating the duration of the filtration system usage. After its setting up, every 60
hours, a sound signal indicates that you need to control the saturation of the activate coal filter.
▪Built in steel 12/10th + white epoxy paint RAL 9010 and blue epoxy paint RAL 5015
▪Silent electric fan : 220-240 volts, 20 watts, 0,1 A, 43 dB(A) (out of airflow), airflow 86 m3/h, protection IP54

3. INSTALLATION AND COMMISSIONING
Installation
The filtration box can be put directly on the top of the safety cabinet, on the wall (accessories not provided), on a bench…
However, make sure to place the filtration box on a rubber mat, as to absorb any vibration. It has to be correctly installed,
and its base has to be flat, as to avoid any risk of falling.

Your filtration box can be connected in two ways to your cabinet :
1st solution
You can put directly your filtration box on the connecting sleeve (diameter 100 mm) of your safety cabinet. As to do it,
remove one of the plastic cover situated on the filtration box (schema 1) and insert the connecting sleeve of your cabinet
in the hole of the filtration box.
2nd solution
Your filtration box can be connected to the cabinet, either with the hole on the left side of the filtration box (schema 3), or
with the hole in the back (schema 2). After having removed the plastic cover, put the connecting sleeve diam. 100 mm,
thanks to the self-tapping screws provided. Then, connect the connecting sleeve of the cabinet to the one of the filtration
box, thanks to the flexible sheath diam. 100 mm (P/N KL100, available in the connecting kit P/N KRC).
Installation of the activate coal filter in the filtration box
1. Switch off your filtration box by pushing the on/off switch.
2. Unscrew, counterclockwise, the 2 black bolts situated on every side of the blue handle in front of the box.
3. Raise up the cover, thanks to the blue handle.
4. Maintain the cover open, thanks to the holding pin, located on the right of the box.
5. Unwrap the filter and remove the protective films on the 2 sides of the filter.
6. Remove the protective films on the joints of the filter, on the 2 sides
7. Put the new filter in the box.
8. Close the cover ; take care not to get your fingers caught.
9. Check if the writing on the filter’s etiquette is in the right direction.
10. Screw the two black bolts clockwise.
11. Switch on your filtration box by pushing the on/off switch.

If you need to use your filtration box without any activate coal filter, you have to equip it with a kit for use without coal
filter, P/N CAR50. The ventilation outlet has to be connected to the outside. It is situated on the top of the filtration box. To
evacuate the vapors, you need to connect this outlet, thanks to a connecting sleeve diam. 100 mm (P/N CHJ, not
provided) and flexible sheath diam. 100 mm (P/N KL100, not provided) to the outside. To fix the connecting sleeve, use
the self-tapping screws.
Commissioning
Your filtration box has to be installed, used and maintained as to guarantee the users’ protection.
Hour counter
When you first use your filtration box, and after every power failure, it is necessary to adjust the hour counter located in
the upper part, on the left, in front of the box. In order to do so please follow the below procedure :
▪Press the PROG button, the left number flashes
▪Press + or - as to settle 60,
▪Press the PROG button, the middle number flashes
▪Press + or - as to settle 00
▪Press the PROG button, the right number flashes
▪Press + or - as to settle 00
The hour counter will count down automatically from the time when the on/off switch has been activated
To setup the hour counter, your filtration box has to be connected to the electrical power grid BUT the on/off
switch has to be turned off.
Once the on/off switch has been turned on, you need to press the “STOP” button of the hour counter, as to stop it.
N.B. : The interruption of the hour counter can only be done manually.
In accordance with the standard NF X 15-211, you have to control the saturation of your activate coal filter every 60
hours. The hour counter will warn you every 60 hours, thanks to a sound signal.
As to check the saturation of your activate coal filter, you have to use the manual pump and the suitable
reactive tubes. Please contact us in order to find the suitable reactive tubes for your chemicals.
Your filtration box is provided with a silent fan of 220 volts - 50 Hz. You have to connect your filtration box to the power
outlet 220-240 volts - 50 Hz, then push the on/off switch to turn on the ventilation system.
In order to check the presence of your activate coal filter, look through the little window for the control. You must see an
etiquette with a yellow, green or orange color on the filter. This color coding allows to determine the type of coal used in
your filter.

If you use your filtration box without an activate coal filter, you must not turn on the ventilation system, as
long as the box is not connected to the outside.
4. INTERNAL EQUIPMENTS
Your filtration box has to be equipped with an activate coal filter, or a kit for the usage without any activate coal filter.
These part numbers have to be ordered seperately.
5. SAFETY CONTROLS
The recycling air box is a safety equipment. In order to guarantee its efficiency, you have to check it regularly.
Daily safety controls :
▪Check the efficiency of the fan
Monthly safety controls :
▪Check the efficiency of the fan
▪Check the saturation of your activate coal filter
6. SPARE PARTS

7. RECYCLING
The recycling air box can be entirely dismounted. Various parts such as the steel elements can be recycled. Ensure to
respect the national and local waste disposal terms. Those elements should not be mixed with household waste.
8. WARRANTY
Your equipment holds a 12 months warranty against every manufacturing defect (limited to ordinary conditions of use,

from the date indicated on the delivery note).
Our warranty can be applied only in case of manufacturing defects or hidden fault. The warranty covers only the
replacement of the faulty goods or pieces indicated by our quality or technical department, as they are the only one able
to determine the condition. Repair of the equipment must be performed in our warehouse.
The spare parts are under 3 months warranty upon their settlement.
The warranty cannot be applied in the following cases :
- The equipment has not been stored, used or maintained in accordance with the standards by the user
- In case of a damage of the equipment by the user or a third party
- The equipment had a modification or a repair by the user or a third party, without any prior written authorization by
ECOSAFE
- In case of a bad use of the equipment
- In case of a normal attrition of the equipment
- In case of a bad installation of the equipment
- In case of damage caused by the corrosion
The activation of the warranty won’t extend the term. Our warranty stops if the customer has not notified us in a 7 days
term after seeing the fault ; date that the customer has to prove.
