EcoxGear EXG3000 User manual

To talk, press and hold the PTT (Push to Talk) key.
Hold the radio 5 to 7 cm away from your mouth and speak
towards the micophone located just above the display.
When you are nished speaking, release PTT to listen.
Always listen on a channel, or check the LiveRSSI, to ensure it
is not already being used before transmitting.
Press CALL to initiate a calling tone. Call Tone transmits
a short tune intended to catch the attention of others on
the channel.
NOTE: Call Tone can only be used once per minute by
regulation.
Making Contact Using Call
TX and the full signal level will display while PTT is held.
To communicate, all radios in your group must be set to the
same Channel and, if it is set, the same CTCSS / DCS Code.

TALKING: Transmit (TX) Basics
Press and hold MON to enable Monitor mode.
Press and hold MON to disable Monitor mode.
The Monitor mode bypasses the Squelch, CTCSS and
DCS so that you can listen to the open channel.
In Monitor mode, RX is always on and always at the
left side.
Press CTCSS/DCS and use UP or DOWN to select a
CTCSS (01-50) or DCS (001-104) code. CTCSS/DCS
cannot be set on Emergency channels 05 and 35.
Press CTCSS/DCS again to set.
Make sure, when you set a CTCSS or DCS squelch code, to
share the code with others you want to communicate with.
CTCSS (CTC) and DCS are Squelch codes. When a
Squelch code is set, a signal must have that Squelch
code to un-mute the radio’s speaker - even if the signal
strength is strong enough to pass the squelch point.
Press SQL and use UP or DOWN to adjust the squelch point.
Press SQL again to save the new setting.
is Squelch. The squelch keeps the radio’s speaker muted.
is the squelch point, the threshold allowing signals to un-mute the radio’s speaker.
is the signal level on the current channel. The signal point
indicates the strength of the signal, increasing from left to right.
means no signal activity or no signal strong enough to
open the squelch.
means a receive signal strong enough to pass the squelch
point. You should hear something through the radio’s speaker
when RX is showing - adjust the volume if necessary.
The Live RSSI graphic (Patent Pending) shows the signal activity on the current channel.

Channel Usage
There are three ways to navigate to a channel.
Main Method:
Press UP or DOWN to change channel one step at a time.
(Press and hold to change channels rapidly.)
One-Touch Shortcut Keys:
Press PRI to recall the Priority Channel (Default is CH11).
To store any current channel as the Priority Channel,
press and hold PRI.
Press EMG to recall Emergency Channels 05 and 35.

indicating the current channel and settings, and Live RSSI graphic.
If there is no signal activity for 8 seconds the display will change to the Simple
mode display.

using vol UP and vol DOWN.

the defect or replace the Product without any charge for parts or service. This warranty does not include any reimburse-

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a
replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You

This warranty is in addition to and sits alongside your rights under either the COMPETITION AND CONSUMER ACT 2010

Depending on the country in which the Product was first purchased, if you believe that your Product does not conform
with this warranty, you should deliver the Product, together with satisfactory evidence of your original purchase (such as
a legible copy of the sales docket) to Enfinity. Please refer to the Enfinity website for address details. You should contact
Enfinity regarding any compensation that may be payable for your expenses incurred in making a warranty claim. Prior
to delivery, we recommend that you make a backup copy of any phone numbers, images or other data stored on your
Product, in case it is lost or damaged during warranty service.

If a warranty claim is made, this warranty will not apply if the Product is found by Enfinity to be:

C. Improperly installed contrary to instructions contained in the relevant User Guide
D. Repaired by someone other than an authorized Enfinity Repair Agent in relation to a defect or malfunction covered by
this warranty; or
E. Used in conjunction with any equipment, parts or a system not manufactured by Enfinity.

Noise Reduction Circuit
Reset to Factory Default Settings
The built-in noise reduction circuit can reduce background noise so that the user speaking
to the radio mic can clearly be heard. NOTE: background noise may always be present but
suppressed enough that user voice is heard clearly.

Channel SCAN
SCAN sequentially checks channels in the scan memory, indicated by M, for activity.
There are two scan memory groups, Open and Group.
OS (Open SCAN) Select any grouping of CH01 - CH80
GS (Group SCAN) Select any grouping of CH01 - CH80
GS can also scan with Priority Watch: GS + Priority CH Watch every 1.5s
Press SCAN to start or stop the channel scan.
To add or remove a channel from scan memory,
press and hold MEM. The presence of the Micon
indicates a channel is in memory for the indicated
scan memory group.
OS (Open Scan) is the default setting, with all channels pre-added into its memory.
GS (Group Scan) memory, by default, is empty and requires adding channels into memory.
Change between OS, GS in the MENU. TIP: For fast scanning of your favourite channels, keep
the total number of channels in memory to under a dozen.

NOTE: When transmitting in
Duplex mode, the radio trans-
mits on the matching repeater
input channel.
Example shows Duplex CH08 with repeater input CH38.
The Duplex mode enables access to local repeater stations. UHF CB Repeaters are used to
retransmit or relay your signal. Repeaters will extend the range of your radio and overcome
the shielding e󰀨ect caused by solid obstructions. NOTE: Only Channels 01-08 and 41-48 are
available for Duplex mode. Turn Duplex on in the MENU. When Duplex is on for a repeater
channel, the display shows DUP.

Watch the Priority Channel along with the current channel using DW.
Press and hold DW to enable or disable Dual Watch mode.
NOTE: DW cannot be enabled if the current channel is also the PRI channel.
