Wireless Adaptor Application Guide
Before Star up
Before applying Edimax Access Point as your Wireless
Adaptor for wired devices, please check the following items:
1. You need to have a wireless router connected
2. You need to have a PC (or notebook) for setting
3. You need a RJ-45 cable to connect the Access Point with your wired
device.
4. Make sure that the IP address for the connected router is 192.168.2.1.
(Edimax Router use 192.168.2.1 as default settings)
5. Change the Router’s SSID. (We changed the Router’s SSID to
“Edimax1” for the application guide)
Step by Step settings
Step 1:
Connect your PC (notebook) with Edimax Access Points by using a
RJ-45 cable. (Use 192.168.2.1 as default IP address)

Step 2: Connected to Edimax Access Points and select System Utility

Step 3:
Change the IP
address to
192.168.2.2

1. Select Basic Setting
2. Select “Station Infrastructures”
3. Select Site

Step 5 (Part 1 of 2):
Select the router which connects to the internet

Check if the selected router is
correct then click “Apply”

Step 6: Connect the Access Point with the device as following
diagram
1. Edimax 802.11n Access Point could be your best choice to extend
the signal coverage and quality for your XBOX360 or PS3 gaming
consoles. Let you enjoy the online gaming without suffering bad
wireless signals.
2. Edimax 802.11n Access Point could let your wired devices such as
Media adaptors or NAS become wireless device.
