Interface
2.1LocatetheIPaddressofNetworkIPCamera
YoucanuseyournewNetworkIPCamerabyitswebuserinterfaceviaweb
browser.CurrentlytheviewingsystemrequirementforNetworkIPcamera
is:
■OS:MicrosoftWindowsXP/Vista/7
■Browser:MozillaFirefox,IE7(andaboveforfullfunctionality),
Chrome,Safariorabove
■Cellphone:3GPPplayer
■QuickTime6.5orabove
Bydefault,thenetworkcameraautomaticallyobtainsanIPaddressfrom
theDHCPserveronyourlocalnetwork.CheckyourDHCPserver’sIP
addressleasetabletofindthenetworkcamera’sIPaddress,orusethe
EdiViewFinderutilityincludedintheCD.
1. InserttheCDintoyourCD‐ROMdrive.Whenthewizardappears,click
“SetupUtility”toinstallthe“EdiViewFinder”software.

2. Aftertheinstallationiscomplete,double‐clickthe“EdiView_Finder”
icontoexecutetheapplication.

3. Press‘Discover’buttontosearchforallIPCamerasonyourlocal
network(makesureallIPCamerasarepoweredonandconnecttolocal
networkfirst).WhenyoufindanyIPCamera,youcandoubleclickonit
orclick‘Link’buttontoconnecttoitbyyourwebbrowser.
IfyouneedtochangeacertainIPCamera’sIPaddress,youcanalsoclick
ontheIPCamerayouwishtochangeIPaddress,thenclick‘ChangeIP’
buttontochangeselectIPCamera’sIPaddresssetting.
Ifyounolongerneedtousethisutility,click‘Exit’buttontocloseit.
Pleasenote:
Ifyouhaveseveralnetworkconnections,suchas“Wireless
Function”,pleasedisablethe“WirelessFunctions”or/and
othernetworkconnectionsthatisnotconnectedtoIPcamera,
orIPFindermayfailtosearchIPcamera!

2.2ConnecttoIPCamera’sWebUserInterfaceandInstall
ActiveXPlugin
WhenyouknowtheIPaddressofIPCamera,youcanconnecttoitby
InternetExplorerwebbrowserbyenteringitsIPaddressinaddressbar.
Theuseloginscreenwillappearwhenyougetconnected:
IPCamera’sadministratorusernameis‘admin’(lowercase)andpassword
is‘1234’bydefault.Click‘OK’buttonorpress‘ENTER’keyonyour
keyboardwhenyoufinishenteringusernameandpassword.
WhenyouconnecttoIPCameraforthefirsttime,you’llseethefollowing
message.ThismessagepromptsyouthatyouneedtoinstallActiveXplugin
beforeyoucanseethevideofromIPCamera.
ForIE8andearlierversion:
Rightclicktheindicationbarandclick:
‘‘InstallThisAdd‐onforAllUsersonThisComputer…’toinstallActiveX
plugin.

Click‘Install’buttonlocatedatthebottomofIEtoinstallActiveXplugin.
Ifyou’repromptedthat:
‘WindowsFirewallhasblockedsomefeaturesofthisprogram’
Click‘Allowaccess’,orIPCamerawillnotbeabletofunctionproperly.
Whenyou’reinstallingInternetExplorerplugin,youmayalsobeprompted
thatifyouwanttoallowchangestobemadetoyourcomputer:

Click‘Yes’toallowchanges.
AfterActiveXpluginisinstalled,youshouldbeabletoseethevideostream
fromcamera.

IfthisisthefirsttimeyouusethisIPCamera,youcanreferto
chapter2.4forinstructionsonSetupWizard,whichwillguide
youtocompletethesoftwaresetupofyournewIPCamera.
2.3ViewingLiveVideo
AfterActiveXcontrolisinstalled,youcanviewIPcamera’svideobyweb
browser.JustconnecttoIPcamerabywebbrowserandlogin,thenyou
canseelivevideofromIPcamera:
