The VC-50HD is a battery or AC powered video
fi eld converter designed for video production
professionals who want to convert HD-SDI to
1394 (fi rewire) for the purpose of HDV archiving,
recording and or real-time conversion.
Applications
Recording and Archiving
The VC-50HD is for video professionals who own an HD-SDI camera and want to record video using
1394(fi rewire) directly to a computer NLE system, an EDIROL F-1 or an HDV video deck. The VC-50 is
battery powered making it a portable solution.
Blu-Ray Recording
The VC-50HD can be used to archive directly to blu-ray DVD burners from an SDI source.
HDMI Field Monitoring
The VC-50 can be used to view HD-SDI video sources by converting to an HDMI video signal for easy
and affordable fi eld monitoring.
Battery Powered
The VC-50HD can be powered by AA batteries or external batteries making it a portable video fi eld
converter.

IDX or Gold Mount External Battery Power Fail Over Backup Power. Provides long portable battery power. Can be powered inline with
camera and other battery operated devices making a portable video
conversion solution.
HDMI Output HDMI Monitoring. Easy and affordable monitoring of HD-SDI signal. Does not require
a broadcast monitor to view.
Bi-Directional Conversion Provides fl exible conversion compared to single direction converters
from AJA.
