1. INTRODUCTION
Overview
First of all, sincerely thanks for selecting the Automatic Weighing Meter for EickSorber made by EICKEMEYER®.
The product is dedicated to weighing the EickSorber Anaesthetic Gas Filter (21348801). It reminds anesthesiologist by alarm
with sound and light. Please read this instruction manual and all other auxiliary materials carefully before installing and
using the product, it will be helpful to work with it better.

2. SPECIFICATIONS
• Zeroing by one button only. Display provides real-time canister weight readings.
Max. Capacity: 2kg, Resolution: 1g, Accuracy: 5g.
• There are 3 alarm modes include alarm I, alarm II and Overweight alarm.
Remind anesthesiologist by alarm with sound and light.
– Alarm I (1.000g < reading of weight meter < 1.020g, be stable for 1 second):
Sound and light alarm, 0,5hz (1 time / s);
– Alarm II (1.020g < reading of weight meter < 1.500g, be stable for 1 second):
Sound and light alarm, 2hz (1 time / s);
– Overweight alarm (reading of weight meter > 1.500g, be stable for 1 second):
Sound and light alarm, indicator stays on, buzzer stays on
• Automatic recognition to the size of EICKEMEYER® EickSorber Anaesthetic Gas Filter
• Alternative duration of muting, pause alarm
– Press the mute button down briefl y, keep muting for 5min, then resume alarm
– Press and hold the mute button down for 3 seconds, keep muting for 30min, then resume alarm
• Power: Input: 100 – 240VAC, 50 / 60HZ, 0,5A; Output: DC 12V / 1A
• Weight: 1,4kg
3. UNPACKING, ASSEMBLING AND OPERATION
Unpacking and Assembling
Open the box and remove the instrument and accessories. Check the packing list (eg. Fig. 1.1). If there is damage or lack,
please contact EICKEMEYER® immediately.
Put the instrument onto a stable and safety platform. Insert the supporting metal rod and transfer hose. Switch on the power.

Operation
Switching on
Press the power switch on. The meter is switched on after a buzz.
Zeroing
During the normal measurement, if you need to reset, press and hold the “ZERO” button for 3 seconds to perform zero
operation.“OK” means success, “EER” means failure.
The instrument reserves the Null point. Placing items on the meter for a long time does not affect the measurement results.
Switching off
Press the power switch off.
Placing Gas Filter Canister
Put EICKEMEYER® EickSorber Anaesthetic Gas Filter on the weighing platform. Connect the hose and the exhaust pipe.

Weighing
Press the power switch and display the weight of the EickSorber Anaesthetic Gas Filter. The instrument alarms by sound and
light when the absorption weight of the canister reaches saturation value.
Replacing the EickSorber
Switch off and disconnect the hose. Reconnect the hose after replacing the EickSorber, and switch on.
Muting the Alarm
At the status of sound and light alarm, press the mute button to mute for 5 minutes (time delay starts with the last pressing).
If it is still on alarm after the time-delay fi nished, sound alarm will be recovered.
At the status of sound and light alarm, hold down mute button for 3 seconds. Mute for 30 minutes after the prompt tone. If it
is still on alarm after the time-delay fi nished, sound alarm will be recovered.
Mute button does not affect the light alarm.

Adjusting
Unload weighing platform and switch off the meter.
Press and hold “ZERO” button down while you switch the unit on. The version appears in the display, then release the button.
The meter adjusts itself automatically and displays “ZERO”.
When the adjusting is fi nished, the message “EC: 1.000g 25.0” will appear in the screen, with light fl ashing and buzzer ringing.
Indicate that you should put in a 1.000g standard weight. “25.0” shows the ambient temperature (change with the ambient
temperature).
Press “ZERO” button down briefl y to confi rm the operation after the weight is stable.
“OK” means success,“EER” means failure (the failure may be due to memory failure or excessive weight error).
Maximum load is 2kg. Please do not load too heavy.
4. MAINTENANCE
EICKEMEYER® recommends that your anesthesia system is inspected weekly. Please refer to the following steps:
• Wipe all surfaces of the system with a cloth dampened with germicidal cleaning solution.
• Remove hair, dust, and debris from all vaporizer surfaces; especially around the volume-percent dial and the anesthetic fi ll
port.
