The FlexScan S2000 offers a full 20.1" screen with pinpoint sharpness, rich
colors, and smooth motion picture playback
making it ideal for a wide range of applica-
tions such as text, DTP, and 3-D CAD.
Welcome flexibility is provided by digital/
analog inputs, while height, tilt, swivel,
and pivot adjustments make for ergonom-
ic viewing in portrait or landscape mode.

Smooth, Clean Motion
An overdrive circuit is included to enhance the play-
back of moving images by adjusting the voltage input
for each frame based on image data from the previ-
ous three frames. Commonly used in LCD TVs, this
circuit improves midtone response time — the time
required to transit between gray levels — to 8 ms. Fast
video sequences and 3D-CAD animation are displayed
without delays.
Fine Contrast Mode Selection
The Fine Contrast function provides ideal viewing
conditions for office applications (Text mode), video
clips (Movie mode), graphics (Picture mode), and
web browsing (sRGB mode). A Custom mode is also
available for individual user settings. The bundled
ScreenManager Pro for LCD software supports au-
tomatic mode switching, such as changing to Picture
mode when a graphics application is selected.
10-Bit LUT, 14-Bit Internal Processing
EIZO equips the FlexScan S2000 with its own ASIC
(Application Specific Integrated Circuit) which fea-
tures a 10-bit look-up table and 14-bit internal pro-
cessing. The 10-bit look-up table has a palette of more
than 1 billion colors from which the most appropriate
16.7 million (8-bits) are displayed to ensure smooth
reproduction of subtle color variations. The 14-bit
internal processing produces a high degree of detail in
dark areas of an image.
Precise Color Control
Gamma values can be adjusted manually from 1.4 to
3.0 in steps of 0.2 and color temperature in 500 K
increments from 4,000 to 10,000 K. Hue, gain, and
saturation can be controlled separately, and an inde-
pendent 6-color control function allows for individual
adjustment of red, green, blue, cyan, magenta, and
yellow.

The FlexScan S2000 offers exceptional flexibility to
accommodate both your work style and your work
space. The stand is height adjustable through an
82 mm range and provides 40° tilt and 70° swivel
so every user can easily set the ideal position. It also
pivots 90° for portrait mode viewing. Compatibility
with VESA mounting standards allows the moni-
tor to be removed from the stand for mounting on a
movable arm or wall bracket.
1000:1 Contrast Ratio
This outstanding contrast performance makes im-
ages on dark backgrounds appear more vivid, brings
out the subtle differences in similar shades of color,
and ensures that colors retain their richness even in
brightly lit rooms.
Digital and Analog Inputs
With both DVI-I and D-Sub inputs, you can use a
computer that has either a digital or an analog graph-
ics board (or both if connected to two computers),
and quickly switch between the inputs via a front
panel button.
