DEEP FRYER
MODEL: EDF-2725

IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including
the following:
1. Read all instructions.
2. Do not touch hot surface. Use handles or knobs.
3. To protect against electric shock do not immerse cord, plugs, or body in water or other liquid.
4. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
5. Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or
taking off parts, and before cleaning the appliance.
6. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance
malfunctions, or has been damaged in any manner. Return appliance to the nearest
authorized service facility for examination, repair or adjustment.
7. The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the appliance manufacturer may
cause injuries.
8. Before use, always ensure that the oil tank is positioned correctly in the fryer body i.e.: The
max/min level indicators should be at the back of the fryer.
9. Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
10.Do not place on or near a hot gas or counter, or in a heated oven.
11.Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance containing hot oil or other hot
liquids.
12.Always attach plug to appliance first, then plug cord in the wall outlet. To disconnect, turn any
control to “off”, then remove plug from wall outlet.
13.Though the detachable oil tank can be completely immersed in water and clean, it must be
thoroughly dried before next use to prevent electric shock.
14.Do not use appliance for other than intended use.
15.Do not use outdoors.

KNOW YOUR DEEP FRYER
USING YOUR DEEP FRYER
For the first use
For the first use the oil tank and basket may emit odour, it is normal and will not occur again. It is
suggest to remove the odour according to the instructions: Fill water to the MAX marker (see
Fig.1), heat it for about 10 minutes according to the following steps at lowest temp., let it cool
down completely then clean all parts thoroughly. WARNING: wipe the droplets of water on oil
tank and basket out completely before fill oil in!
1. Press down open button, the lid of deep fryer will open
automatically.
2. Uplift handle to horizontal position then take out.
3. Fill oil in oil tank, We recommend use fresh peanut, groundnut,
vegetable or rapeseed oil, use a good quality solid fat if you prefer
but remember never to mix your oils or fats. The solid fat must be melt gently in a separate
pan before transferring to the tank.
Note:1. Before adding oil in oil tank, press oil tank with force to ensure that it has been
contacted well, otherwise, make sure the outside surface is dry.
2. The oil level should between MIN (1.8L) and MAX (2.2L ) (see Fig.1).
4. Lightly smear the inside of viewing window with either cold oil or fat, whichever you are using
to inhibit any condensation that may occur, so that you can watch food while it cooks.
5. Put on the frying basket, Pull the release button on the handle backwards, folding the handle
down. Lower the basket into the oil by returning the handle to the recessed position.
Note: Only after you pull the release button on the handle backwards, the handle can be
folded down, but if you want to lift the handle to the horizontal position that is not need.
Recommended to repeat to raise and lower the basket for several time before first use.
6. Close the lid of the fryer by pressing down at both sides of the lid, this prevents steam
escaping.
7. Preheating the oil is necessary. Plug in the power source (insert the cord plug into appliance
first), set preheating time by turning timer, which is about 25 minutes. The power indicator
would be illuminated, set temperature control bar to the required temperature.
Caution: the power indicator would be illuminated only after the timer has been set, when the
timer is “off”, the power indicator would not be illuminated. The appliance would not be heated

up.
8. Ensure that the condensation tray is in place correctly. The condensation tray is used to
collect the droplets condensate when the lid is opened.
9. After preheating, raise the basket and lock it into its raised position, open the lid of the fry and
place the food to be cooked, which should be as dry as possible or freezing, into the raised
basket of the fryer, Lower the basket into the oil by returning the handle to the recessed
position.
Note: to home-battered foods, pack the raw food well and allow to drain slightly to get rid of
excess water, slowly lower the food packed into the hot oil using a suitable implement or
tongs, this allows the batter to become a whole one and prevents to slip out the mesh of the
basket. Warning: careful to operate as small oil droplets may splash out! To avoid destroying
the basket, the food fried can not exceed 800g one time.
10.To avoid spattering when the water on food meets hot oil, you should cover the lid first before
lower the basket into oil.
11.Set the frying time again, turn timer to desired position and frying process starts, refer to FRY
GUIDE below in details.
12.There would be lots of steam come out when frying, so careful not to touch filter cover. You
can check the progress of the food during cooking by raising and fall handle to the horizontal
position, and use the safety Viewing window to make sure that food is brown enough. We
suggest not opening the lid of appliance when frying to avoid hurting by steam.
13.When your food is cooked, raise the basket and wait a few seconds before opening the lid,
This allows the steampressure to subside but care should still be taken when opening the lid,
as some steam may still be released.
14.Move the food out, add some condiments, now you can serve.
OPERATING DRY PROTECTION
The appliance has an operating dry protection feature. If you forget to place oil in oil tank and
operate it, the temperature of tank will increase rapidly and the switch of operating dry protection
will work after 3 minutes (at the highest temperature) and after 4 minutes (at the lowest
temperature) to cut off power source automatically, so the fire hazard caused by further heating
can be avoid. In this instance, please keep calm, unplug the power source, and let the appliance
cool down completely, the unit can work normally now. This will do damage to appliance if
happen often, we recommend to check first if there is oil in tank every time.
FRY GUIDE
These frying times are intended as a guide only and should be adjusted to suit quantity or
thickness of food and your own taste.
Food kind temperature time
Fresh chips 375°F 20-25min.
Frozen chips 375°F 20-25min.
Fish fillet 340 °F 8-12min.
Fresh cod or haddock in batter 375 °F 13-20min.
Frozen cod or haddock in batter 340 °F 20-25min.
Frozen plaice 375 °F 12-18min.
Frozen hamburgers 300 °F 6-10min.
Chicken portions in crumbs small/medium size 340 °F 18-24min.

Chicken portions in crumbs large size 340 °F 24-30min.
Frozen meat slices 340 °F 6-8min.
Fresh chicken drumsticks 340°F 18min.
Dial the timer until the position minutes of frying guide, and stood frying.
You will hear a click when the time is running over.
HINTS FOR USING YOUR FRYER
1. Always ensure that you use a good quality lard or oil for deep fryer. Peanut, groundnut,
Vegetable or rapeseed oil are ideal, do not use margarine, butter.
2. Take into account the food to be cooked before you select the frying temperature, as a
general guide precooked foods need a higher cooking temperature than raw foods.
3. Do not use the fryer under wall-mounted cupboards, which could prevent opening the lid fully.
4. Cook food thoroughly, remember the food may begin to turn golden brown before it is cooked
through.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Cleaning should only be carried out when the fryer is switched off and the plug removed from the
socket, after the fryer completely cooled down.
1) Empty all the oil in the oil tank.
2) The detachable oil tank can be removed and completely immersed in water and clean, it must
be thoroughly dried before next use to prevent electric shock.
Note: When assembling the oil tank, press oil tank with force to ensure that it has been
contacted well, otherwise, make sure the outside surface is dry.
3) You may detach the lid as follows: open the lid, push it backwards and release one side firstly
(see Fig.1), you can disassemble it (see Fig.2). If you want to assemble it again (see fig.3).
4) Take out condensation tray (draw out according to the arrow, see Fig.4), oil tank and basket
out, then put them in soapy warm water.
Note: Always remove the filter and filter cover before cleaning the lid, the filter should be
replaced after using 15 times, when put on the filter, the black one is upper, the white one is
lower. The material of the white filter is Nylon and of the black is active carbon, the function of
the white is absorbing steam and of the black is absorbing oil.
5) Clean them thoroughly then rinse under running water.
6) Wipe the surfaces of all parts and out side of unit surface with warm wet towel then dry them
with dry towel.
7) Assemble all parts together and keep for next use.
WARNING: Never immerse the plastic body of the fryer in water or any other liquids.
