SAFETY ADVICE
• This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or
mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or
instruction concerning the use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
• Keep the appliance and its power cord out of reach of children. Children should be supervised to en-
sure that they do not play with the appliance.
• Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be performed by children without supervision.
• The appliance can only be connected to a power supply which voltage and frequency comply with the
specifications on the rating plate.
• Do not touch hot surfaces. Use the handle.
• To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse cord, plug, or rice cooker in water or any other
liquid.
• Unplug rice cooker from electrical outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow appliance to cool
before adding or taking parts off.
• Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug it in if the appliance malfunctions, or has
been damaged in any manner. Return appliance to the manufacturer or appointed service agent for
examination, repair, or adjustment.
• Do not use outdoors.
• Do not let the electrical cord hang over the edge of a table or touch hot surfaces.
• Do not place on, or near, a hot gas or electrical burner, or in a heated oven.
• Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance containing hot oil or other hot liquids.
• As a safety feature, this product is equipped with a grounded plug. Improper connection of the ground-
ing conductor may result in the risk of electric shock. Consult a qualified electrician if you are in doubt
as to whether the outlet is properly grounded.
• A short power supply cord is provided to reduce the risk resulting from becoming entangled in, or trip-
ping, over a longer cord.
• If an extension cord is used, the marked electrical rating of the cord set or extension cord should be at
least as great as the electrical rating of the appliance, and the cord should be arranged so that it will
not drape over the countertop or tabletop where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over unin-
tentionally.
• To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not attempt to remove the outer cover. There are no user
serviceable parts inside. Repair should be done only by authorized Electrolux technicians.
• If the power supply cord is damaged, it should be replaced by a qualified technician from Electrolux.
• Warning! There may be residual heat after use on heater plate. Do not touch the heater plate immedi-
ately after use.
• Warning! Do not use the appliance other than intended use, which may cause potential injury.

GETTING STARTED
1. Before using the appliance for the first time, clean the parts of the rice cooker thoroughly. Make sure all
the parts are completely dry before you start using the appliance.
2. To prevent the damage of the non-stick coating in the inner pot, use a separate container to wash the rice.
3. Measure the rice using the measuring cup provided. Do not exceed the quantities indicated on the inside
of the inner pot.
4. Place the washed rice into the inner pot.
5. Add water to the level indicated on the scale inside the inner pot that corresponds to the number of cups
of rice used.
6. Dry the out side of the inner pot.
7. Place the inner pot in the rice cooker.
8. Close the lid of the rice cooker until a ‘click’ sound is heard.
9. Plug in the power cord into the rice cooker and to the wall socket and switch on the mains.
RICE FUNCTION
1. Add the pre-washed rice and apprioprate amount of water into the inner pot.
2. Press the control lever down to start the cooking. The light indicator will switch to “COOK”.
3. The light indicator will switch to “KEEP WARM” automatically when the rice is cooked.
4. Open the lid and stir the rice to loosen it. For best results, do this just after the rice cooker has switched to
keep-warm mode. Then close the lid firmly. Stirring the rice allows excess steam to escape. This will give
fluffier rice.
PORRIDGE FUNCTION
This function can be found on ERC3405 only.
1. Switch the function selection to “PORRIDGE”.
2. Add the pre-washed rice, ingredients and apprioprate amount of water into the inner pot.
3. Press the control lever down to start the cooking. The light indicator will switch to “COOK”.
4. When the porridge is ready, pull up the lever manually. The rice cooker will switch to “KEEP WARM” after
1-2 min.
NOTE: Slowly open the lid, avoid the accumulated water on the upper cover entering the pot.
STEAM FUNCTION (MANUAL CONTROL)
1. Add appropriate amount of water into the inner pot. The amount of water varies according to the
quantity of food to be steamed. Ensure that the water level does not exceed the height of the steam tray.
Insert the steam tray into the inner pot and place the food on the plate or on the steam tray.
2. Press the control lever down to start the cooking. The light indicator will switch to “COOK”
*For ERC3405, switch the function selection to “RICE”.
NOTE: To ensure even steaming, the food should be spread out evenly and should not be piled up.
CLEANING AND CARE
1. Unplug the rice cooker before you start cleaning it. Wait until the rice cooker has cooled down suf-
ficiently before cleaning.
2. Remove the steam tray and the inner pot from the body of the appliance.
3. Clean the inner pot, steam tray, rice paddle and steam valve with a sponge or a cloth in warm water
with some washing liquid.
4. To protect the non-stick coating of the inner pot, do not use the inner pot for washing dishes or put
vinegar in the pot.
Do not use abrasive cleaning agents, scouring pad or metal utensils to clean the inner pot as these will
damage the non-stick coating.
5. Cleaning the water holder: Detach the water holder from the rice cooker. After cleaning, attached the
water holder back to the rice cooker.
6. Cleaning the steam valve: Detach the steam valve from the rice cooker. Twist and turn to unlock the
steam valve, and pull it outwards. After cleaning, attached the steam valve back to the rice cooker.

TROUBLESHOOTING

MEMULAI
1. Sebelum menggunakan perangkat ini untuk pertama kalinya, bersihkan dulu bagian-bagian penanak
nasi secara menyeluruh. Pastikan bahwa semua komponen telah benar-benar kering sebelum Anda mulai
menggunakan perangkat.
2. Untuk mencegah kerusakan lapisan anti-lengket panci pemasak, gunakan wadah terpisah untuk mencuci
beras.
3. Takar beras menggunakan cangkir ukur yang disediakan. Jangan melebihi jumlah yang ditunjukkan dalam
panci pemasak.
4. Masukkan beras yang sudah dicuci ke dalam panci pemasak.
5. Tambahkan air sampai ke tingkat yang ditunjukkan di dalam panci pemasak sesuai dengan jumlah cang
kir beras yang dimasak.
6. Keringkan bagian luar panci pemasak.
7. Masukkan panci pemasak ke dalam penanak nasi.
8. Tutupkan tutup penanak nasi sampai suara ‘klik’ terdengar.
9. Tancapkan kabel daya ke penanak nasi dan ke stopkontak dinding, lalu hidupkan listrik.
FUNGSI RICE (NASI)
1. Masukkan beras yang sudah dicuci dan sejumlah air yang sesuai ke dalam panci pemasak.
2. Tekan tuas kontrol ke bawah untuk memulai pemasakan. Indikator lampu akan beralih ke “COOK”.
3. Indikator lampu akan beralih ke “KEEP WARM” secara otomatis ketika nasi sudah matang.
4. Buka tutup dan aduk nasi untuk menggemburkannya. Untuk hasil terbaik, lakukan ini segera setelah pena-
nak nasi beralih ke mode keep-warm (menghangatkan). Kemudian tutupkan tutup dengan kencang.
Mengaduk nasi memungkinkan uap yang berlebihan menguap pergi. Ini akan menghasilkan nasi yang lebih
pulen.
FUNGSI PORRIDGE (BUBUR)
Fungsi ini hanya ada pada ERC3405.
1. Alihkan pemilihan fungsi ke “PORRIDGE”.
2. Masukkan beras yang sudah dicuci, bahan, dan sejumlah air yang sesuai ke dalam panci pemasak.
3. Tekan tuas kontrol ke bawah untuk memulai pemasakan. Indikator lampu akan beralih ke “COOK”.
4. Setelah bubur siap, tarik tuas ke atas secara manual. Penanak nasi akan berpindah ke “KEEP WARM”
setelah 1-2 menit.
CATATAN: Dengan perlahan buka tutup, hindari air yang terakumulasi pada penutup atas memasuki
panci.
FUNGSI STEAM (KONTROL MANUAL)
1. Tambahkan sejumlah air yang sesuai ke dalam panci pemasak. Jumlah air berbeda-beda sesuai dengan
jumlah makanan yang akan dikukus. Pastikan bahwa tingkat air tidak melebihi tinggi baki uap. Masukkan
baki uap ke dalam panci pemasak dan tempatkan makanan di atas piring atau pada baki uap.
2. Tekan tuas kontrol ke bawah untuk memulai pemasakan. Indikator lampu akan beralih ke “COOK”
*Untuk ERC3405, alihkan pemilihan fungsi ke “RICE”.
CATATAN: Untuk memastikan pengukusan yang merata, makanan harus disebar merata dan sebaiknya
tidak ditumpuk.
PEMBERSIHAN DAN PERAWATAN
1. Cabut steker penanak nasi sebelum Anda mulai membersihkannya. Tunggu penanak nasi sampai menjadi
cukup dingin sebelum membersihkannya.
2. Keluarkan baki uap dan panci pemasak dari dalam perangkat ini.
3. Bersihkan panci pemasak, baki uap, sendok nasi, dan katup uap dengan busa atau kain yang telah dice
lupkan ke dalam air hangat yang telah diberi cairan pencuci.
4. Untuk melindungi lapisan anti-lengket panci pemasak, jangan gunakan panci pemasak untuk mencuci
beras atau memasukkan cuka ke dalam panci ini.
Jangan gunakan bahan pembersih abrasif, atau serabut penggosok, atau perkakas logam untuk member
sihkan panci pemasak karena benda-benda ini akan merusak lapisan anti-lengketnya.
5. Membersihkan penahan air: Lepaskan penahan air dari penanak nasi. Setelah dibersihkan, pasang kem
bali penahan air pada penanak nasi.
6. Membersihkan katup uap: Lepaskan katup uap dari penanak nasi. Puntir dan putar untuk membuka kunci
katup uap, dan tarik keluar. Setelah dibersihkan, pasang kembali katup uap pada penanak nasi.
