Changing/Setting

Thisband
sawis
factory-equippedwith
a
generalpurposewoodcuttingblade,size2240x12x0.5
mm,
tooth
spacing
6 mm.
To
change
blade,
remove
rip
fencecarrierextrusion(93)from
saw
table.
Then
slacken
blade
tension
by
turning
vlade
tensionerhandwheel
(9)
counter-cloxkwise,openbothdoors
and
swing
saw
bladeguard
outofthe
way.
Remove
bladefrommachine.
Fitnew
blade
and
tension
lightly.
Blade
must
runin
centre
of
band
saw
wheels
or
else
itmay
jump
off.
To
check
alignmentturnupperwheel
by
hand.
If
necessary,adjust
tilt
of
upperband
saw
wheelwithstarknobsettingscrew
(26)
at
rear
of
upperwheelhousing.
Ifa
blade
of
differentwidth
is
fitted,
the
thrustbearings
of
the
upper
and
lower
bladeguidemust
be
adjustes.
Set
thrustbearingsagainstblade
so
that
its
teeth
are
justrunningclear
ofthe
guide
bearings/pilot
pins.

Keep

bearings

closely
against
the
blade,
woth
only
minimalplay
ofthe
blade,
for
bestperformance.
The
pilotpins(14)
of
zthelowerbladeguide
are
subject
to
wear.Regularlycheckblade
for
play
and
adjustpins
to
take
the
play
out.
To
adjust,loosenthreadedpins
at
rear
of
pilot
pin
guidewithAllen
key3
mmn,
providedwithmachine,
andset
pilot
pinsagainstblade,touching
it
lightly.
Tightenthreadedpins
to
secure
in
position.
